There is one thing this game is missing: stairs. It would keep the people from complaining about elevators, and right now if there is a fire, everyone in my hotel except the receptionists is gonna die.

The one nasty thing about this game is that if you even one thing gets crowded, all the customers in the place will start giving you three thumbs down F-- You Suck ratings even if the rest of the hotel is absolutely resplendent. Like, okay the cyber cafe is crowded. IT'S WIRELESS.

Tips: Your whole bottom floor should be reception, build double elevators 11 floors. Staff are fine with ground to sky shafts, you'll end up with a few. My floors are 2 elevators, 6xrooms, staff ele, repeat. The 11th floors will have overlapping elevators and fewer rooms. For the 6x rooms, every 3 floors I set aside for facilities, just leave them empty until you get requests.

For those with elevator problems: Just build elevator with reach between 4 and 6 floors. Then the guests will take another elevator to descend many floors, but will not complain.

How many elevators do these people want? I mean, I have as many elevators as there are floors in the hotel. Where do these people think they are? The Ritz?

Love this game. Hey guys, want a hint about elevators? There is no need to put all elevator all the way from the bottom to the top. It takes time to bring people up and down (10 people max every travels). Put elevator to cover 5 floors at time. Then, put elevator on the next 5 floors, but not connected to the first ones. Do that to reduce the traffic in "all the way from the bottom to the top elevators"

Nice game but way to easy and short. Nice to see scenarios or the ability to control room prices, etc. to try and spice it up a bit.

Only one complaint, I wish it would stop pausing when you move focus away from the game. This game does not require that close attention that auto-pausing it would be beneficial.

To assist with late game strategy never build an elevator more than 5 floors tall, once you unlock the suite never build another standard room, once you unlock the presidential suite only build those, guests coming to the hotel will always upgrade to the higher level room. The fewer rooms per floor assists with elevator load, try to group services together (same floor or consecutive floors). Receptions require one receptionist each, cafe and open air cafe can handle 3 times the customers with 2 waiters, check guest reviews to see what you need to build next.

Apart from the other problems of this game, I found myself more than a time thinking "Alright, everything is going fine on his own, let just wait that I make some more money". aaaaand..... I can't do anything else on the pc meanwhile, beacuse it goes on autopause.

I have a rating of over 960, I get three thumbs up on every review except the two thumb "could use more elevators" one. I never have less than 45/50 rooms full. Yet somehow I'm $70,000 in the hole and losing $5,000 a month. There should be some way to adjust prices or something.

The elevator problem occurs from the unrealistic amount of traffic in the hotel. In reality a hotel is mostly a place to sleep, and only gets large amounts of traffic as people come in to go to their room for the night. In this game the hotel has many attractions of a vacation, its like a mall with rooms.
Also it would be nice if maids were assigned floors, like in a real hotel. That way the bottom three floors would actually get some attention (a problem for me)
Although it needs minor improvements I like the concept and would rate it 4/5

The 10% loan repayment dosnt seem right one week i paid 500 the next i payed nearly 950, is this a bug or should it be like this?
Like if you think this should be fixed!

Found a way to make sure you don't have any elevator problem. Do not ever make an elevator longer than 8 floor or so. Instead, make multiple elevator. So they should go like that 1-8 8-16 16-24 etc... give them less floor to cover if customer in bad mood.

elevator mayhem.... -__-
I've put 2 capacious elevators every 5 floors and they still want more...
I think something needs to be done with this kind of problem...
upgrade with elevator speed or guest's patience would be nice...

Good game, 11 out of 20 Width Sectors are elevators though. That shit is mad frustrating! In SimTower the management was much easier and you would have a limit of 15 sectors high and you would chain off elevators or even use a traffic control system to distribute elevator traffic.

Lazy, lazy stnuc. Elevators, elevators, elevators. Look you fat tihs, if you won't walk to one of the other four elevator shafts you'd better just wait.. else, I'll kick your lardy tnuc out of my hotel.

Apparently, this town has some crazy trends. First a whole fu.ckload of gamers moved into the hotel (Apparently for some convention) and the day after that a ton of Professional Bowlers showed up! What the hell?

Having trouble with elivators? try making 3 on top of eachother then move one left and put 3 elivators then back to the right and 3 elivators and so on. Then the elivator doesnt have to go to top floor and then back down. :)

~60 personnel, 50 of them are maids. ~20 columns builded, 8 high capacity + 2 service elevators. I think i made half of latin-america and the elevator companies rich :P

Great game. But instead of building yet another elevator I think i'd rather open all the windows on the top floors. "Express checkout". Its a win-win. Plus with the week waiting time to get on one it's an option they would explore...

The solution to the elevator problem is to make multiple elevators in the same column. Just build a standard room on the top and you can start a new shaft. Then you make another shaft in the column next to it that reaches just to the beginning of the next elevator. It would have been nice if instead of the staff elevator, which is pretty useless as the total capacity is the same as a normal elevator, there would have been an express elevator which carries more people but only stops every 10 floors. This is also how it is in real towers.
