The best strategy is too layer your elevators so that it only services three or four floors, then an overlapping elevator to get them to the next floor to go up four floors etc. This cuts down on elevator wait times so you have much happier customers

the game needs to stop pausing whenever i tab out, i have the perfect 0-star set-up but i don't have enough money to get all of the 1-star stuff and i know that i will lose reputation for not having those things.
so right now i am just waiting for the money to trickle in and that will take a while, but i can't just tab out and do something else while waiting because the game pauses whenever i do so.

I found the lack of ability to reposition the screen adequately a problem. could never see the top and had to use room to room clicking to see anything and still had difficulty with upper lvls hidden behind the menus.

How about allowing people to just delete one level of elevator. the fact that you cannot delete just one square of it but have to remove and the entire thing is kind of stupid.

Most notable problem. Elevators in two ways. #1. Doesn't seem to matter how many you have people will complain. ( I have seen people suggest ways to fix this but come on when 10 columns straight to the top and some shorter ones and some specifically for just staff still isn't enough... ) #2. Not being able to destroy a single elevator when it's connected to another is a huge pain.

I reached 5 stars, got the badge, and then I decided to get 400 more maids, 300 receptionists, 500 waiters and 700 engineers. And sell all the rooms. Then I noticed that you can still paying them with your -1561516532$

You're rooms may be cozy, and the service might be great, but if you don't built an open-air cafe, nobody will like your hotel *facepalm*

I have like 2 Staff Elevators and 13 Big Elevators.
MEANWHILE - CUSTOMERS: More elevators would be great
Me: ................ OK!!! THEN I WILL MAKE THIS HOTEL BE LIKE A 1 BIG ELEVATOR :D

Very good game! Reminds me of Sim Tower that I used to play when I was a younger gentleman. Easy to reach a 5 star rating so it could possibly use more updates to make it a bit more difficult over time, but overall a great game.

I clicked on a guest before he walked through the doors of my hotel. Check-in shows n/a. First thing he does is bypass reception and go straight to the elevator to go upstairs and bowl.

Elevators are hard to figure out, but if you put ONE set of elevators 7-8 stories up, then add a new shaft...no complaints. Once you get to about level 2 almost 3, expand to the other side and do the same thing. Also, make sure to have a staff elevator on the ends too.
Never add a new service room, unless your rating is going down alot. The cost of the room needs to be covered in the earnings, add to many...you loose money. It's easy in the earlier levels to keep your rooms right under the update number, so you can rack up some money and improve things. I stopped leveling up at level 2 and expanded left and right..then updated elevators. Once I hit level 3...It was an easy straight shot to level 5...when you are earning 20k-30k each month. Good luck :D hope this helps
