Under rating threshold (show) This was seriously fantastic! I get really excited over bullet hell style action and this games got it down to a science! It captures intense action while ducking the overwhelming pull your hair out in frustration feel that these types of games often have, this I know is no easy feat. I also like the nature vs technology feel the game captured as well as the oddly likable characters. My complaints are few and I throw them in only as constructive criticism, not to bash the fine job done here. First, more speed would be a really really good thing especially for the bosses that fire lasers and move back and forth, there is just no avoiding that as is. Second The ultimate shot might be put to better use if it worked in segments where you could use a weaker version of it by filling only part of the bar as opposed to having to fill the whole thing or go without. That's all I could think of, so Ill leave it at that and just say this was a great piece of work. Thanks for the entertainment!

Under rating threshold (show) Monkeytroubles, I have literally no problem avoiding the tackle of boss #8, and my speed has been upgraded once, due to the large amount of comments say its effect is minimal- what you need to do is not even attempt to hurt the boss while it's tackling, just focus on staying on the move and on the edges of the screen- you can easily get all the way through that boss only being hit by the orbs. Also, to the developer of this game, Trutruke, don't add miniature/alternately coloured versions of previous bosses into levels. Don't ask me why, it's just a really, really bad idea. Probably because of all the effort made into that boss, you then just copied and pasted it a thousand times on each level after that; it's tacky. Don't do it.

Under rating threshold (show) The final boss gets the tackle attack much closer to optimal: 3 tackle runs and a fake 4th, all inside a much longer pattern cycle. This is how boss #8 should have been done; the tackle pattern should be hard to deal with but only encountered once (or twice for a non-upgrade-grinding player). Give boss #8 some more of the normal float-around-and-shoot-stuff patterns and it should become better balanced. Alternatively, boost hero speed or slow down its tackles.

Under rating threshold (show) The only issue with the game appears to be the level 8 boss, which is harder to beat than levels 9 and 10 combined. The problem is not so much in its HP count or damage output, but with its attack patterns: it only has two, one of which (the tackle) is hard to dodge (the hero doesn't seem to move fast enough to reliably dodge the tackle), hits pretty hard, and essentially leaves the boss invulnerable for the duration (you can't really land hits while still dodging the tackle, and even a DXU doesn't last long enough to skip more than 2 of 6 tackles in the pattern). The boss's other attack is too short to deal much damage in; even with full upgrades one needs to go through 3 tackle patterns before the boss drops (as opposed to only 1 pattern cycle on the final bosses).

Under rating threshold (show) Maxed out flight speed should be cursor-perfect. Even maxed it's impossible to keep up with a lot of the boss attacks, especially near the end of the game.

Under rating threshold (show) Also, the penalty for losing a level is a little high. Many times I'm retrying levels three or for times and nothing is getting improved. It may require a little re-balancing in the rewards but it would help a bunch.

Under rating threshold (show) * Should let you keep the money that you have gathered up to the point you die, it's a p.i.t.a as it is to get money. * Maybe a "return to level select"-button while you're in the shop and about to start a level, so you don't have to exit to the main menu, select controls, select continue and _then_ get to the level select.

Under rating threshold (show) Overall, I liked this game, and I thought it was a pretty good shooter. However, I do have one issue: Collecting stuff is way too hard. At some times, it felt like getting enough money for the upgrades I wanted was harder than actually beating the level. It seems small, but I think the game would be much better if this issue was fixed.

Under rating threshold (show) i'd like to see more upgrades... magnet ability upgrades is a MUST for all shooter+coin collector games IMO... and i'd like an option to disable the background scrolling... its kinda distracting and worst still, it gives me a headache after a while T.T Agree with the rest, i would like the bosses to show a health bar on top of the flashing. Hope to see DR2 soon!

Under rating threshold (show) Man, you HAVE to make a hitbox. Every good shooter game have a small hitbox that is used to pros avoid bullets. Just see the most famous games of this kind, you gonna see that the bullets most of times touch your ship but nothings happens, thats cuz the Hitbox is on the center of the ship. Its a little ball that only if the shoot touch it, you get damage. I don't understand why the shoot touchs NOT my ship and i take damage. Thats my tip for DR2

Under rating threshold (show) Quick few comments. Having the most common bullets be blue circles and the energy be a slightly different blue circle makes everything more difficult then it really should be. Need toggle for fine movement (like press shift to move slowly), moving fast all the time can also make life difficult. Finally, also seconding the need for some indication of what the hitbox on your character is.

Under rating threshold (show) Awesome music. Sometimes it's hard to see enemy shots when the screen is filled with fireballs, blue powerups, and gold/silver rupees. I recommend getting an editor for the plot and script of the second game, because the characters and all of their interactions are extremely awkward. I know it might be annoying or hard, but for the next game, do NOT use resized/recolored bosses as normal enemies, that always gets on my nerves. Also, why does the EIS have multiple Bumblebees?

Under rating threshold (show) There needs to be a way to lower the quality. I've got all my upgrades maxed, but because my computer is a bit sluggish, my speed is hardly better than it was before all the upgrades. The speed seems to be an issue for a lot of people, it would be great if this issue was addressed, other than a link to the Youtube video. But I still gave it a 5/5! Great game, super fun, and it's awesome that the developers respond to so many comments.

Yes, that's right, I killed the 3 bosses in the 2nd last level without upgrading my life. Does that make me good for doing that, or bad for no noticeing the tab? XD

Of course, that might just be me (being a semi-author)... As a tip, try role-playing with someone and using that dialogue.

Under rating threshold (show) Alright, so I watched that video showing someone defeating the 4th(?) boss with no speed upgrades, and he was able to stay within the laser beams no problem. Yet, even when I have all the speed grades, my character still moves too sluggishly to keep up and stay within the beams. I tried this out with both keyboard and mouse controls, but nothing seems to make a difference. I honestly believe that this is something that you need to fix for THIS game, and not just say that you'll fix it for part 2. If you even think that this is something worth fixing.

Under rating threshold (show) I enjoyed it, but i have a big problem with developers telling us to rate 5, i mean i know what there trying to do, but you should be confident in your game enough not to ask us that, and if your not confident, make some improvements. not only might you get a batter rating but also you might have 5 star game without "Suggesting" it.

Under rating threshold (show) yeah the story sounds a bit strange, some glitches in the first part of the story with the helicopter and the egg. Also, explain more, give details on how the dragon egg magically appeared to the chick. Does she have a name? Why does she have 2 giants shot-gun cannons attached to her motor cycle?!?!? Give things a reason! Game play is pretty smooth though. If the story was better, I would rate it 5/5!

Under rating threshold (show) A suggestion : Maybe as we are using the DXU energy special attack it could show us how much time we have left by draining the amount of energy on the blue bar. rate + so developer can see.
