@knewred yes, the game completely fails to tell you that to upgrade your barracks you need to have a fully upgraded castle.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It doesn't seem to be letting me upgrade my barracks to make golems, even though I have far more than enough resources. Not to worry, though, because Warriors are extremely overpowered and I can win the whole game by just spamming them.

If you're having trouble with the golem level, use the Shark guy. Fully upgrade the farm first, the foundry and the mill afterwards, and only then begin with the castle. As soon as your enemy starts moving to attack your completely undefended castle, use your first spell. If you can manage to use it again before they get to the castle, do so and wait it out (I did, but only just), otherwise use your second spell to send them back to theirs. by the time you've have stalled them enough to finally have enough to start making your own golems. Keep them back unless they're attacking with ballistae, and when they get close to your castle, switch to attack, freeze them, and let your golems destroy them all while they're helpless, use your second spell if you're caught in the middle or if an enemy managed to get past your units and starts hitting the castle. Repeat until you have enough golems to storm their castle.

Already have the first badge, so I guess I'll just continue and get the second badge for this week's BotD. *loads game and the Load Game option is greyed out* Ok, so I guess I'll just have to start again from the beginning. *clicks on New Game many many times and nothing happens* Ok, or I could just forget this badge altogether, since I already have the other six for this week.

You can complete pretty much every map by spamming warriors (and building some golems when possible).
Food will be the main block, so focus os farm upgrades.
I used only the 1st character through everything.
Last stage is a bit tricker though, but still possible with just warriors and golems (and call of duty guys). Should win the game about the time he summons Armaggedon; if not, it may get harder after that, because of the black holes possibly eating your army suddenly.

golems are broken, bosses have an unfair advantage of INFINITE MANA AND RESOURCES.it makes sense that there would be unfair advantages,BUT NOT THE I N F I N I T E RESOURCES

finally after over half an hour of bs on the final boss got the medium badge.. why did the badgeof the day for this game have to be the medium?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Mr. Shark here might as well be the hardest boss- while the game is a piece of cake once you get him, he will zerg rush you to death...with riders and ballistas and crossbowmen...while you are still working on unlocking crossbows.

Shark Waterfalls is really strong!
It is a bit discouraging to lose so many times early in the game, if the game can give more resources to start with if you lost too many times, there would be less chance for players to quit before finishing the game.

I beat it with Lex, the first guy. On the last level I just spam cheapest two as fast as I can to fill up to the 40 max or close, his call of duty helps so much to keep my army as large as I can get it. I got the tower upgrades real quick after that to help bounce back after a bad wave. After that I was fully upgraded and could push forward with all the best units constantly on cool down with lesser units to keep my army size as high as I could. I just had to pay attention to his spell timing, but with Lex you are able to spam spells faster than him and always have the numbers to overwhelm his army.

"Now press the ATTACK button to attack the enemy" ... it won't go any further than this. Sending only 3 guys, sending more than 3 guys, refreshing... nothing works. the castle sits at 10HP and it continues to say "Now press the ATTACK button..."

I found that the best one to fight Alexander was actually the Shark guy because that way you ca keep your enemy's away and can actually help trap them in your opponents spell zone

It says that you have to defeat your son to bring peace to the kingdom, but if he usurped your throne and almost every hero joined him doesn't that mean that you are starting a civil war by refusing to abdicate?

Get the elf dude and then just zergling rush the rest of the game. Easy peasy. That 800% increased attack speed skill is OP especially with a lot of basic cheap archers there to shred the enemy.

Just use Magnus Steelblade and upgrade your food farming instantly asap, when you get attacked make sure you have a few warriors, use ironskin if you need to (super op ability). Then just use warriors until you unlock cavalry, then use cavalry until you unlock the giants, spam both until you reach final boss, then just spam Titanic Growth on giants and elephants (whilst using ironskin when attacked obviously) and if you need to spam cavalry and warriors when you get blackholed. Doing this makes the game easy. I completed the game in like 20-30 minutes without dying once.

in the final fight vs alexander, u can just keep 1 katapult alive, and always switch from attack to defend until u get maxed ressourced and all upgrades if u have problems. (1 elephant will tank it forever). also it should be a hard badge, not a medium one imo, really a long grind.

I beat all but the last level with archers, cavalry, and warriors. It was a little disappointing that I didn't need other units or further upgrades to progress.

good game. not exactly my kind, but fun, addictive, and well made. of course, the Doukutsu Monougatari style graphics don't exactly hurt either. props.

Some units are so unbalanced in this compared to others, Crossbowmen just own everything. Was fun perma freezing and knocking the final enemies back forever though!

you'll only need the vampire guy + crossbow people. max the crossbows get a few of them and attack. and then just keep summoning crossbows. after a few of yours have died use the 750 mana costing spell to rebirth them. Max the farm at first to summon bunch of 15 food people to first enemy attack. Use the 100 mana to heal your castle.
