Managed to beat the whole game with the original character - something that pleases me greatly! :D
Good fun all round. For anyone struggling, I generally suggest massing Archers and Warriors to hold the initial push, getting a tower or two if you can, and then teching up your resources and buying upgrades. Just stall for time until you've maxed out the upgrades and then go for a big push.
The original character is helpful there; he can instantly spam a horde of peasants! It doesn't sound great, but that huge swarm of units can buy time for you to pool some resources and tech up, or allow you to splurge on high-end guys once the unit cap falls enough.

Mazgazine1 - Use Rose Magma Heart, and when Joker attacks, wait until they are almost right in front of your base (before they reach your units). Then, when they are that close, use Meteor, and you will almost insta-kill the Golems. Just build maxed Warriors/Archers after that.

Having tombstones is too frustrating. I can't tell most of the time whether my forces are winning or not, whereas the tombstones obscure all forces - good or bad.

Instead of "surrender" it should be retry.. Far quicker...
On another note:
I can't beat the Joker, he spits out golems right at the beginning it seems like they are unkillable..

Need to show requirements for upgrades. The game description is simply "Upgrade the barracks" but for some reason I can't upgrade it.. Does it require a fully upgraded castle or something??

This game is so gay. You can't even get one golem by the time the Joker has 8, and an army of anything else won't beat them. Yeah go ahead and report my nick name, because you're a faggot.

So, best ending ever, amazing cast. The final boss was like, ARMAGEDDON! And then I was like, ZOMBIELAND! *WIN* :) 5/5 (last star for the epic ending)

personally i like the last captain, you freeze their units for 10 seconds, = enemy lost most of their army by end of 10 sec, you just reap up the rest, beat the devil in 3ish minutes? not sure, but high score devil was 9,236,539

The second champ is pretty OP. 75% damage reduction for 10 seconds every 20 seconds and a one-hit-your-base golem every 60 seconds. GG

Final Boss: Are you man enough to beat me. Fire Lady: No, am a woman made entirely of fire! Eat Barbarialand! Final Boss: Oh shit I am dead. ///////////// A really fun game. I like how you get new units frequently and how in later levels the basic stuff is already set up. Nice ending too.

For some reason I get a stronger nostalgic feel from this game then a lot of the 8-bit and 16-bit games on kongregrate

You really need to fix the tutorial, or make it skippable, or something. I went in, and when it told me to attack I did so. And I defeated everything, nearly razed the thing with no further opposition, and then found myself having to wait for the arrow garrison to kill everything because the script wasn't allowing me to win. That was not fun.

Sweet game, loved the ending. If you continue it, plz make the enemy also have to upgrade his stuff? It's kinda annoying how they always start with the best possible stuff.

seems rather unbalanced by level 4 with no hope of victory by the time I can get my first up grade my castle is over run tried every combination i can, needs a better upgrade system 3/5. Most likely will not play again. seems like carpel tunnel waiting to happen way to much clicking.

this game is great.. it's type of gameplay really makes me remember with the old fashioned games that I played in my childhood..

For a veteran RTS player, the game is a bit too easy without difficulty adjustments. I was able to sweep through each challenge using just the Paladin and win the first try. Mostly fully upgraded archer spam to the max capacity with warrior support and laying down the spells blew through most enemies. Then the last boss was simply elephant defense spam while you built resources and then I plowed through it with a random assortment. In most instances, the advanced units like ballistas and crossbowmen played no role in the game; smaller unit spam with upgrades were more efficient. Not even horsemen were really worth it. I didn't use Golems until last level, but I probably didn't need to.
