This game is amazing despite its repetitive because like crazychinchilla said that creating a city as a background and plays an important for the game is really cool. Just like AoE 3. 5/5

Games from two years ago getting Badge of the Day? We don't have any newer games? *considers the newer games she's been seeing* Okay, maybe not.

Overall this game was a bit hard then easily became easy once I noticed I needed Gold and resources for Soldiers because the case is; you will need to make units and i suggest using the arrow keys and space bar also upgrade your catapult, no need for archers.

Has potential, but too many failings
1) Forced to fail levels repeatedly to build a strong army is NOT 'good gameplay', it's 'forced grindan' and nobody likes it.
2) Limiting 1-2 of the best units is just stupid, especially when they die too easily anyway. If you're going to limit Hero class units, make them as strong as Hero class should be, they should be able to solo tens of mobs before dying.
3) Resource gain is too slow and not rewarding enough.

It would be great if the soldier orders were better. There's no way to say which ones come first, outside of sending them out one at a time. This can get very irritating.
Has promise so a 4/5

You should get the resources back for any men you've built that survive. I just built like 10 guys, hit go and then I won before the 2nd one left the gate!

8 Victories in and so far no challenge. Just walking all over the battle enemies without needing more than 10 hired guns each battle. And I am talking basic guns. Strong cannon and manipulating the market in free time...

So, I can't win a battle. The only way to win a battle is to recruit more soldiers. To recruit more soldiers I need more resources. The only way to obtain more resources is by losing battles again and again...
This makes little sense.

Using futfut's strategy on boss levels. sitting around doing nothing for 10 mins to avoid having to fight that overpowered boss? Worth it.

I have disliked this game since it came out. The aiming on the catapult is ridiculously hard to use. The 2 step army system is both over complicated and completely non-versatile, the economy is almost pointless. What brilliant mind at Gamestop decided this needed a power up rewards badge? Are they trying to kill Kongregate?!?!?

Okay, I have to state this again, the learning curve for this game is horrible or "Difficult." Very slow paced and starts to get repetitive. In the end, there isn't enough freedom. The fact that you HAVE to lose is ridiculous. Losing shouldn't be mandatory rather, you should have the options of repeating levels.

PRO TIP: During wave 1 leave 1 range unit alive and send only a worker unit. The castle won't die and the timer will run out leading to victory. This works in EVERY LEVEL.

some suggestions for a sequel 1. make it so you can win WITHOUT HAVING TO LOSE every time ive played ive lost a battle or 2.perhaps even add difficulties.2let you keep all your units that survive a battle3. the "divine spirit" is extremely underpowered if you ask me since it did almost nothing (other than make ememies flinch) and it needs to charge faster i lost my wall on the last level waiting for the thing to do somthing (though with it underpowered attack it probably wouldnt have helped much

rad i thought that 2 but the mine is on the west.... i guess thats y but still dumb point (+) if u agree good game but needs more thought into it

it annoys me how things keep coming even after their civilisation is gone eg. goblins keep coming even after uve taken over goblin camp, you would have thought they wouldnt all gang up on you and they would fight eachother too. Very good game anyway though :D

goblin: i know! why don't you go into the town from the west avoid the heavily protected gate on the west? ogre elder: hmm... i never thought of that...

Cheap trick: Do not add archers. Upgrade your catapult and buy a knight and repairman (for wall or catapult is up to you). Kill all the enemies for 1 wave except for 1 (preferably an archer). Your repairman can repair faster than the archer can damage. Wait for time out without even meeting the bosses.

Perhaps the ending message of each battle could be reworded... "Victory Elmininated" seems to literally imply that victory its self was eliminated, which makes no sense what so ever, especially in the context of winning a battle.

WOW! A meaningless 10-second lame ending. Its definitly worth all the many hours of handling the impossible bosses, handling the inflexible economy system, buying the super weak soldiers or the very expensive 1-limit good troops, and repeating levels over and over again. Some games seem to have a "good potential", but when you find so many suggestion and complains in the comments it means it is a BAD game.

Man this game is awesome. What about The Great Siege 2. Include a multiplayer, Survival, No units, etc. Keep up the great game!

wow sure is like surprising when you a warrior are at the battlefront then goes a catapult projectile "WHAM!"at your face then you were like onwards to victory the enemy has stepped back :)

the aim is hard to adjust, seeing that you have the thing saying where you're aiming at i don't think is supposed to, it would probably be a lot better if you could aim by clicking where you want to aim. also add hotkeys for opening the menus especially the send troops menu, and make an auto send button.

couple of bad things, you can't reposition your catapault while it's reloading, and you can't see your catapault firing position when it's covered in men. Considering this is the main way you defeat enemies, you're left slightly blinded and wasting time.
