The game is nice but the army balance is just way off. In the end my poor little soldiers couldn't even stand more than a few hits (if even more than 1) before getting completely slaughtered. They're just meat-shields. I'd probably be able to get to the end but it's just not worth it to me. Stopped after 11 missions.

this is my technique first defend your castle or tower(upgraded) with your catapult(upgraded)
then when you have its too much resources charge them with a army of footmen(only 5)then use a mountain archer(only 1) then do that again and again till the boss comes do the special attack, defend with your catapult, attack with a 10 footmen, create 5 archers do this at any battle you can win

Perhaps the ending message of each battle could be reworded... "Victory Elmininated" seems to literally imply that victory its self was eliminated, which makes no sense what so ever, especially in the context of winning a battle.

Soldier: "Sir! The enemy is advancing upon the city! Should we position our archers atop the bluff?" Captain: "Just end the Elf. Have the others stand behind the wall and fire blindly at anything that might be on the other side." Soldier: "Well, what about our knights, sir? Might we send them on a sortie?" Captain: "We'll send one. The rest we'll hold back for 10 minutes or so. Hopefully our wall will last that long."

wow sure is like surprising when you a warrior are at the battlefront then goes a catapult projectile "WHAM!"at your face then you were like onwards to victory the enemy has stepped back :)

Enemy Lieutenant: Sir, we've come across a fort with only one catapult defending a piece of wall. If we send in our massive horde all at once, we're sure to overwhelm them in a matter of minutes.
Enemy General: No, send our troops in one by one.
Enemy Lieutenant: But sir, that may not...
Enemy General: I said ONE BY ONE!

lol a whay to win is to only lett 1 enemy artcher live and then have a repair man repair the gate he will repair it faster then the enemy can banage it and then you can let the time run out...

couple of bad things, you can't reposition your catapault while it's reloading, and you can't see your catapault firing position when it's covered in men. Considering this is the main way you defeat enemies, you're left slightly blinded and wasting time.

to anyone looking for botd there's nothing at the end that lets you look back, take a screenshot of one of the cutscenes or do it all again.

For those who don't know, your surviving soldiers are converted to bonus points, this is important! Use the bonus points in the market to get resources, upgraded markets give more per point, currently, I get 1k gold per 1k bonus points, which is a 1:1 ratio. Don't overlook the market feature, it is key to winning!

if you build your ninth building and don't want to play another level to get your badge you can use the market and the badge will be submitted

in the first world, focus on upgrading the cat. by 1 and by barracks. then in the battle. only send like 2 or 3 soldiers out and wait til they lvl up. but u gotta back them up too and u should get a perfect wall

How am I suppose to win a battle when the ennemies kill my elite soldiers in 2 hits? And the boss kill them in 1 hit???

I went ahead and beat it. Not worth it. In addition to the complaints about the "tutorial" and the uselessness of the archers and Holy Spirit, you can beat any level the easy, time-consuming way. There are two mechanisms for victory - kill everything, or wait out the timer (5-10 minutes depending on the level)
In the harder levels, such as the aforementioned orc boss, hire a repairman and kill everything in the first wave EXCEPT one archer. You can do this on all levels with just the catapult if it's upgraded to level 4 (and your wall is 3 or 4) and you keep the repairman running. Alternatively, you can be careful sending out troops to keep the last guy alive. An enemy archer damages your wall more slowly than you can repair it, and when the timer runs out, "Reinforcements" arrive and chase off the remaining waves, boss and all.
Rife with typos and grammatical errors in addition to being an imbalanced and slow/repetitive game. 2/5

PRO TIP: During wave 1 leave 1 range unit alive and send only a worker unit. The castle won't die and the timer will run out leading to victory. This works in EVERY LEVEL.

This game was a disappointment. The difficulty curve is sharp, and a bit unforgiving. I'm very surprised that there hasn't been any balanced done to this game.
The troops quickly become under-powered, relying on three or so units and archers to make up a bulk of your defense and to defend when you're reloading your catapult.
I hope, if there is a next go around for this, more of an effort is put on balancing the costs/power of troops as well as some other upgrades to the catapult itself.

it is great but need to fix the way when you shoot the catapult it will follow the targets when they get to the orange bulb thingy

Level up your market max before spending score to get the most out of of. Try to upgrade your palace and mines to max as well. You can get to level 8 by just upgrading catapult and sending in normal troops for low gold to push while you blast them down. Later on you'll need lots of stone so don't sell it but you should be okay selling some crystals especially if it'll get you your mine earlier.

I've even watched the tutorial and I can't beat the level 4 boss.... waaaay too hard. everything else is mad easy though, weird

I found the No Retreat, No Surrender Badge to be more like a hard badge than a medium really...:s Also as for the game, its really nice...we should have an option if we want to autosave or not. That would help from losing some of the game like I did when I forgot to save and clicked on load game. D;

If u make a second one, can we actually be singeing another castle? Maybe more levels, more types of units, and buildings? That would be really great, keep up the good work man.

The game isn't too bad... but one thing really bugs me. The level 12 boss is much harder than the level 15 boss. In fact, it's not even close to a contest.
The fact that the level 15 boss is so pathetic makes me sorry I continued past level 12 in some ways. The game failed to get harder, and the only new enemy was a super easy weak to melee type. Other than that... it was fun.

Suggestions for improvement: Shortcut keys, ability to choose the order of your troops before they are sent out, having an option to set the catapult to autofire on the selected position, and anything else that makes multi-tasking easier.

to people who might have trouble with boss Know that the knight is invulnerable, and every time you click d he stops for a moment to charge. When he stops, the boss will try to kill him which is impossible. so press d, space bar, d, space bar, although it will take time, it will finish the bosses tips turn off the sound when you do this

Why did you have to give the bosses a heal ability? Aren't boss battles long enough already? I gave this 3 starts initially but there are too many overlooked things that just annoy me, so I'm removing 1 start.

The stupid bird whore doesn't come out sometimes, why does everyone have to come out before her? It really makes her not worth it.
