regarding the score loss thing when you start an area: I like the fact that you have to be strategic in the level you choose and that your score can go backwards.... BUT.... I'm not sure I want to play anymore as my score is pretty well as high as I can get it. Replayability stops at this point.

Also note that if you click the level balls with your mouse button, you can boost them, and if the player ball hits a boosted ball next, it'll bounce more (plus you get a bonus). So if in a tight spot, buy some slowmo time, boost the ball you are going to hit next and watch the ball fly. :)

LucasBurgel, that's one of the core mechanics of the game - gambling. Do you trust your skills and do you feel lucky enough to retry a level with big score? :)

nevermind about my last comment. they player does do things, they have the ability to manipulate the ball through thrusts and slowmo

caetano makes an excellent point. despite how fun this game is, its really most of all just an exercise is probability and physics. Still cool though

ttursas,I think you'd must make that when you try a stage you don't lose the score you had before, sometimes I make a worse score and I may train a lot to get the other score again D:

Thanks LucasBurgel! If the game gets popular enough I'll add features to it, and perhaps make a sequel... I wish Kongregate would add badges to the game, I output quite a lot of statistics already that can be used to create badges... I also asked them to sponsor the game, but no answer.

acidDICA, the 80 balls limit comes from technical issues. I got the system to transport easily those 80 balls to the server, but more might require new tricks... Dunno, I'll enhance that later, if the game gets popular (I already have a new game under work)... :)

Level 5-5, when does it unlock? I have a score of 22,000 and it remains locked. I can't get anymore points than this!

it does deserve badges but there really is no end to the game is my only complaint. should of a total score to try to reach to get an ending screen

Ttursas, is there a definite need to limit us to 80balls? Could it maybe be X black balls and XX other balls?
I ask because I thought it'd be really fun to play a level that works kinda like a maze, drilling down through grey blocks, trying to reach the points areas whilst avoiding some embedded red circles...

Teenage Kicks - I like your 'silly score' level. (21mil vs my 6.7 mil)
It looked quite unassuming, though I guess that's because you'd layered all the blocks on top of each other.
I also like how it doesn't bug up.

Also I have currently no idea how hyperjumble and Marth999 got their freakish scores. Marth999 was in my database, so I guess it was a fault in the game. A bug somewhere? But hyperjumble wasn't in my db, and I have a couple of banned ips already, so I guess he just hacked the game.

I've got to admit - the way the 'x2' ball works has me confused - sometimes it gives more than the score I have, so I assumed it was the score I'd GAINED (i.e. disregarding penalties). But just now it only gave me 38pts and the way it works seems bizarre and inconsistent.

Thanks acidDICA! Sorry about the outline, but I hope it's better now than before, after you press 'o'. ;) I'll implement rating system to user levels if this game gets popular enough. Should help a bit. :) And yes, Special Ball Hits should indicate how many times you've hit a special ball, so if you replay the game with new special balls the count should just keep on rising. :)

Thanks for the fast updates! Regarding the outline, I actually ideally hoped for no outline at all (if possible).
I can imagine the user levels being annoying to search through after a while. Maybe for the continuation of the game, you could implement some sort of portal? Newer levels at the top, but each day, the number of plays needed to remain on the list doubles. (And maybe subsequent plays from a single user are worth half the previous amount? So 2 plays would be worth 1.5, 3 worth 1.75 etc.) Some sort of way to keep better levels at the top of a list would be cool.
This game deserves a higher rating than it has.

Ok, v1.01 is in with autosave (saves every time you return to the level selection screen). Plus 'o' to change the size of the balls' outline (for acidDICA)... :) Also added a couple of new statistics.
