Scratch that theory on damage formulas. This game has the worst "random" numbers. Hit type has very little difference in damage. I hit 1 damage on a medium attack and up to 7 on a normal hit. The % chance might not even represent actual odds... it's all shenanigans. Your weapon probably raises the damage cap, but doesn't seem to effect your actual attack. Neither does the displayed hit chance on each attack type or level of attack.

As far as I understand it... the base weapons deal d6 damage (6-sided die roll) So a normal attack "can" hit 1-6... but I think it's 2-12 for a medium attack and 3-18 for a heavy attack? Even so, the odds aren't in your favor, since the die is rolling too high for hit chance and too low for damage.

soo boring! And only because of those broken probabilities! How can I miss 4 times in a row with 95%? How can i make 2 damage with my normal attack while i have 3D10? How can i make 15 damage with my most powerful attack and 20 with the lowest?

This game would be much better if you had the option to skip animations. It would keep the game from being so unbearably long.

Additionally to the issue with the crafting materials, I think the UI and the menu handling are very inconvenient, for eg. just to get into barrack I have to click twice, first the barrack button then the building itself, and why? Changing between group units is bad as well, and the constant packing between store and inventory is annoying as hell.

vntz89: In roleplaying games (rpg's) of both pen and paper and computer RPG's damage is determined by a roll of the dice. More than just a typical 6 sided die, rpg's rely on several dice which have different sides. There are 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20 and also 100 sided dice. So when someone says roll 3d4 what they mean is roll 3 4-sided dice. Just like a six sided die that has six sides and is numbered equal to the number of sides it has so too is this true with the other dice. So to compute damage when you roll 3d4 would be anywhere from 3 - 12 damage per roll. Hope that helps.

If it's a 55% chance to hit, how come I keep getting miss-streaks of 9 in a row? There should be a .25% chance of that happening, but it happens more frequently than that...

Ha. It's funny because I used my dodge potion and she still hit me for 14 damage every round. Meanwhile, I missed her 75% of the time even though the hit chance said 85%. Wait, did I say funny? I meant dead. I'm dead again.

wow... 100hp with 47% to hit against a 25hp bandit.... I died unable to even do 10 damage... I don't think this game likes me.

you miss way to often we should have a bar and we have to tap a key or something right on a certain point to have a critical hit or something

I've played D&D for 15+ years and I have never, ever, seen this many high numbers rolled. If you absolutely have to display how your combat works, at least make sure it actually works as advertised. I just rolled 5 96's in a row, on a 85% chance to hit. This is absurd and near impossible to happen without shenanigans.

I may not be a fighter or dungeon crawler, but I'm pretty sure I have more accuracy than these guys if I was blindfolded and then spun around about 10 times.

Game is great! Enjoying it to the fullest, however, for some reason the attacks are effed up. a heavy attack did 4 dmg... then a medium attack did 7. You may need to re-examine the combat system

I like how the "head styles" have such minute changes that it's almost like you didn't click the arrow buttons in the first place.

You no, I actually really enjoy the arkadian games. However the fact that none of them are in my favorites would beg to differ. You know why that is? Because I can't play them for more than 20 minutes before my computer tries to explode. It's like that in every single one. I sense a memory leak afoot, one which you should have fixed a long time ago.

Pretty rough game, no wiki link, no explanation of anything. Biggest complaint the hit percentage is BS. Try a 27% heavy strike, 10 times hits once for 1 dmg. Even the supposed 75+% hits less than 3 out of 4

@WyllEmbers thx for the detailed explanation ... so what a bout heavy attack vs light attack? heavy is more chance of it getting the higher side of the die?
