Don't buy the legendary packs. They're a waste of money. Ultimate packs are much better, as they still give a good chance at getting a legendary and usually have other good cards, making them far superior.

You hire some peasents with gold, and they can't even beat some puny skeletons.. And why do I need gold to get a gold mine?! Good try, but has many things that need to be fixed... 2/5

Those archers are WAAAAY to strong,if they have only two of the green caped archers they kill the entire army!!! This is just frustrating DAMN!!! I have to wait until they get near my portal to overthrow then!!!

The problem with this game can be summed up in three words: NOT. ENOUGH. GOLD. The vast majority of battles are spent watching helplessly as my opponent spawns unit after unit, and I can't do anything about it because I only have enough gold to sparn one unit who'll get cut down almost immediately, and I didn't get dealt any gold mines. Too much luck of the draw here, and WAY too much emphasis on resource farming.

Step 1: get as mush income as possible, I used 10 goldmines, 3 dark merchants, 2 dwarven mines and 1 dwarven bone, after clearing the deck I had +35 gold at a second. Also 2 iron mines and crystal mines will suffice.
Step 2: Use golems, scouts and variety of mages/archer you find useful. I also found fire storm incredibly useful (used 3).
Step 3: Get and income of atleast 9-11, get some units to hold the enemy, upgrade to 15-19 and build some more units to hold him. then clear your deck and save some money. you are now good to go, blast the opponent and win.
You most probably won;t win with 100 health, but you WILL win using this method.
Protip: You don't have to use 50 cards when building a deck.
Hope it helped anyone.

removed a card from my starter deck to view it in the browser (since you can't examine the card's icons directly in the card builder) and now it's just gone... buggy buggy bug bug... the game seems pretty cool otherwise, except for the fact that it is pretty much the same over and over... 1. get as much gold as you can, one iron mine and one crystal mine (more iron/crystals are just a waste since you rarely use them), 2. queue up some guys and save gold. 3. spam all your guy buttons as fast as you can, 4. return to step 2 until you win .... and if you don't get two or three gold mines at least right out of the gate, you might as well restart.

If you think archers are overpowered you are doing it wrong. Scouts plow through archers like they are nothing. It's just a matter of playing them at the right time. The lack of multiplayer and the fact that opponents play impossibly unbalanced units (or unbalanced amounts of units) make it lame without making it hard. I know of a single, inexpensive strategy that works against all but 2-3 of the battles. The beholder-esque units are insanely overpowered, as are any like them. A single beholder can take out an army of any size. There are only two counters: an even more insanely strong unit, which will probably die in the fight, or Kamikaze/Parting Gift. And if you have Kamikaze or Parting Gift, it's just way too easy to win against a beholder. Either you have the card and it's ridiculously easy, or you don't and it's near impossible.

Please add a high/medium/low quality option...with tons of units on the battlefield it definitely affects performance and it's not important that everything is in high-res, especially since you're not watching the battle most of the time... +1 if you agree

After playing a bit this game in a bigger depth i can say you created a diamond here but you did a major mistake. You balanced enemy's moves and summons around what player draws and summons. So in order to progress, player must stack a lot of expensive units to counter AI's defense (wich follows by a counter attack). This game can be 10/5 if you make AI act like he actually draws cards as well rather than countering player's draws. ty for this awesome card game.

"Dark merchant:" common- adds +2 gold. Cost: 15 souls "Sacred pact:" Uncommon- Adds +2 gold. Cost: 20 souls. The two cards do the same thing, but the rarer version cost more? That's just messed up. This game really needs some rebalancing.

Fun little bug, apparently the enemy sometimes summons a generic unskinned invincible body. So now I've got my whole army beating on this one guy and not entering the portal.

Does anyone know how to get more gold mines? I've bought almost 100 cards and haven't gotten a single one. (Also, does the starter deck disappear from your pile of cards after removal from the deck?)

@ King_kid64: It's all there: Browser (top of the screen) -> click the card -> mouse over whatever symbol you want explained.

Deck building sorter needs to be enhanced, most preferably, cards to stack, secondary ABC order, or maybe the ability to search for card types. When you have a card, such as say, Mana Storm, it can become tedious to sort through everything, expecially when you're a new player and trying to get through level one, when you don't even know what anything on the cards mean.
Second, you need to tell us what the things on the cards mean, it's not in the tutorial, so what the heck. How am I supposed to line up 'telescope' with 'ranged unit', or '5' = 'about the distance of your screen'.

Is there some sort of guide that can help me understand what all the symbols on the cards mean?
It'd be really helpful.
