actually the best way to farm loot is to use the two abilities that allow you to attack without using a turn (cold snap and sneak attack) once an enemy has low hp, 1 shot them on the start of your turn. Then use cold snap and sneak attack over and over to keep getting loot from the same dead enemy

use cold snap to kill an enemy on your first turn. Then use melee then use cold snap and melee. You can kill the same enemy 3, 4, 5 times

The shop is pretty damn useless, given the items you sell hardly ever outweigh the interest. You end up with a cluttered inventory full of junk pretty fast.

I ended up with an interesting situation in Dead Lands. I had Regen 7 and Armor 38, and that combination made it so that I wasn't taking any damage and could farm for as much gold as I wanted. Eventually I got bored and moved on, but it has set me up nicely for future runs in deeper levels (as well as gold gains from selling things in the shop).

If you have a turn left, hitting an enemy after they are already dead will give you their loot drops again, including gold. This is especially useful with spells like Cold Snap, because you can farm an enemy 5 or 6 times without needing to repeat the level. Combine this with the shop to get a ton of gold.

The last 3 levels will mainly give you only Dusty Coal (useless loot). So Heaven's Door is the last level to farm money and loots. The spells I use for the last level are Fire Storm, Ice Storm, Poison Storm, Energy Storm, Treasure Hunt, and Warlord. Equip the highest damage weapon and increase your rage capacity. Repeat Heaven's Door for good gears. I got a helmet that gives 30 rage capacity and a weapon with 60 damage + 100 health bonus. The way this combo works is collecting just 2 types of mana at the beginning of the game, one you have enough to use any Storm spell, go for it. keep repeating other Storm spells until you have enough for Warlord. Keep watching your rage and use it too because the Storm spells might break rage gems in chain reactions. When there are too many coin on the puzzle board, use Treasure Hunt or other spells to get rid of golds. This way, I barely use the puzzle board. Mostly just the spells and attack.

having an issue with Midas Touch Spell. Sometimes it won't let me proceed in game and have to scramble to continue. it isn't that there are no valid moves, but it doesn't process the 3 or 4 or 5 matched gems.

So, unholy temple stand out as being insanely difficult. The two levels after that were a breeze, and even teh final battle was only mildly concerning. I still got through it in one shot.

Gets archlich down to 5hp left
gets sent back to town even though it said I had 3 hp left
gaaaahhhhh unholy temple is insane!

Nice game overall but seems to be quite uncomplete.....several descriptions are missing, some spell branches seems to be more explored than others and some bugs occur; when your enemy HP are unde/500 you really don't know what to expect :D

In my experience, the best selection of spells is: 1. Magic Arrows, its damage scales with your maximum mana. 2. Steal, it refreshes the field if you are really stuck for little cost. 3. Wealth, it can make really nice reactions. 4. 5. 6 Create Fire, Ice and Poison. You can often make easy 4 lines with it, which is always good. No Create Energy, because you need everything for Magic Arrows.

For all those complaininge: look when the game was programmed! Bam! this was well ahead of the times - lots of "undefined'" games were! And yes, I am a fan ;)

After about 20-30 minutes of solid effort I have finally decided not to even bother with trying any longer since I've already earned this week's Kongpanion and its 'Shiny' verison. 3/5.

Moreover, the levels are far too long and you waste all your time if you don't beat the level. And the increase in difficulty wasn't poorly conceived, it's simply not contemplated at all. Fighting a guy with 500 health points (and then 4 more after) is upwards of 3x more difficult. Really, really poor end game. The developer mailed it in. Made me quit as it became a grind. Rating down to 2/5. Good start, but a long way to go to make it a decent game.

A pretty good start to a game, but some major flaws. The concept of selling in the store gets old way too quickly for it to be viable. I do find myself needing energy and rampage way more than everything else, which devalues the rest. Some levels I win with losing 10-15% of health, the next level I lose 95% - so the incremental difficulty is deeply flawed. The upgrades were poorly thought through. 3/5, but could have been more. Great early try, if this was the first attempt at this type of game.

@Webaspider Great you were right, I got the easy badge now... I'll tell you I had lots of rage a moment ago unfortunately I couldn't use any of it in-game

This game sux, I struggled through 2 battles to only find it impossible to win the 3rd... the game is very boring and one cannot obtain enough rage to attack sufficiently because its so random and luck based

The most powerful spells are the storm spells, and sneak attack, you can clear the board of whatever you need mana of, damaging the enemy in the process, then attack several times, I finished the last level under 100 hp below my max, whilst doing nearly 500 damage a turn, and with the 2 turns you get for every opponent turn, and the little bit of regen I'd picked up, it wasn't too hard. It was a nice little victory lap after getting past the challenges the game had to offer

After coming across that wizard (the shop owner), Papa Louie doesn't seem SO bad. At least Louie didn't leave me with a 30k loan @ 180% A.P.R. on top of running the shop. But then again, killing werewolves > making tacos for fat guys, so, yeah...

It's possible to double the effects of the secret linty mentioned; make sure you have enough rage for 4 attacks, and use Sneak Attack before attacking the first and third times, with a weapon that will kill in one shot. You'll kill it twice per Sneak Attack use, but it requires a lot of Rage and at least 20 stored Poison Gems.

linty (11.Aug, 2013): "If you kill an enemy on the first move of your turn and click the attack button again afterward you can kill the same enemy a second time for more loot!" Yeah nice, but you can extend it futher if you use a combo of 4 directly after the second kill. :)

that darn longsword
I am now making a new chuck Norris joke
Chuck Norris managed to sell that longsword and did it as a mint

I broke the game! I lost to the unholy temple final boss and went back into the temple, and then a default white bare human model showed up. [near the final boss sprite]
