Adding to @linty's advice, once you obtain the Sneak Attack spell and cast it during your first move, you can kill the enemy THREE times! You'll need it to grind everything up for Unholy Temple and beyond!

Can't sell decent items but tatty pants sell as soon as they hit the shelf. The game is remarkably accurate to modern fashion

I have found a good money/loot making method. First you acquire the "Healing Fire" spell. Then go to the first dungeon and stop at the first opponent. Now, start matching all elements except ice. When you have about 10hp less than your max hp, cast the spell and repeat. Theoretically, you can regenerate and collect as much loot as you want in one day, as long as you don't kill your opponent. It's a good method for low level players I think.

Using the spell "COLD SNAP" to finish the enemy, you can do additional hits to earn more LOOT!
With 40 mana storage, this means 5 hits per enemy!

I think that the game would be way better if the enemies actually played the game along with you, instead of just automatically attacking.

Another bug: Sometimes, using timewarp will freeze the game - enemy won't move, but you can't either because it's their turn.
Other than some occasional bugs, this is a really enjoyable and addicting game.

Ran into a bug with the Midas Touch spell - it created a ton of fire blocks and then didn't remove them, even though there were a couple rows of 3+. I swapped one fire with another and it triggered them all but I only got mana from the ones that I switched, and it left a fire element sprite in the top left of my screen.
Got the bug to repeat - this time I got the same result with the ice mana (except without the ice icon stuck at the top left)

I got addicted to this game in a heartbeat! It's really fun, and although it's similar to Puzzle Quest in some ways, it has such unique features that it stands on its own...the 'enemies remaining' suggestion I saw above would definitely be awesome, though.

Heal match needs to be increased, or at least increase over time. +2 health becomes pretty insignificant real quick. Really great game though :)

I have to agree that unholy temple was a huge spike in difficulty that seemed out of place (as the rest of the levels were actually easier. That seems to be par for the course with this series though. Also, really easy to spam storm spells at the end to prevent enemy turn.

One of my least favorite things about this game is that, by the time you pay off the debt, the items you get aren't really that good... Think I'll pay debt-free next time, that's a lot of gold I could have used elsewhere.

Stupid timewarm is bugged... NEVER EVER use it if you do not have any gems you can combine, because it BANS scramble, surrender and spells! Ugh..

You can actually kill them up to three times after they die if you have enough rage and are quick enough (yay daggers!)

Badge hunters: the key here is survival over damage. 1) Wipe away the debt--that gives two essential regen items. 2) Spells: Regen, Warlord, Healing Fire, Life Leech, Wealth, Ice Shield. Use Regen constantly, keep purple mana high. Use Warlord when safe to max rage. UseUse green mana on Life Leech. Blue mana on Wealth to clear screen of (useless) gold. Wear tribal furs for regen. Have patience and enjoy!

@Linty's comment: If you use the 'Sneak Attack' spell before you use Linty's double loot trick you can actually get TRIPLE loot from every enemy!

there;s an annoying bug in the game; if you were to finish an adventure and press the button to continue instead of waiting for the board screen to vanish slowly, it will continue with the menu screen but the board screen will still be there.

Oh, the NPC comments in this game
"I'm going to turn you into a walking pin cushion!" - No! If I can still walk when you're done, you're doing it wrong.
"Brains! Must have brains!" - So, you don't have any? Could have guessed.
"I like big bones and I cannot lie" - Mm~ I agree, I like big boners too.
"Would you dance with the wolf in the pale moon light?" - Aww, if you ask so nicely, of course I will.
"You are either very brave or very stupid, Which are you, boy?" - (proudly) I am both!

I really like multi-layered games like this (a Match-3 as part of a dungeon crawl). But the balance in this game is often off. The right combination of spells, especially late in the game, turn most enemies from unbeatable to so easy that it isn't fun anymore. Also, there isn't nearly enough gold, even with sales in the shop, to max out upgrades without (in-world) "months" of re-fighting older pushover battles just for loot. Lastly, I don't know why the debt exists at all. It doesn't affect gameplay, and there's no badge or in-game achievement for clearing the debt. All in all, the puzzle elements only remain interesting for a little while, until the only purpose of repeating them thousands of times is to finish the game, and if you're looking to finish everything (max upgrades, max achievements, and all 24 bosses defeated), it is way too grind-y. And, BTW, there isn't even a particular "Congratulations" for beating the final level. 3/5, a bit generous but I like the game type.

To get the most loot possible from each battle, just follow this simple procedure. Equip the cold snap spell. Start each battle as you normally would. Test your cold snap damage and bring your enemys health down to enough for the spell to kill it in one hit. Max out your cold and rage mana pools. Match a few extra gems if you have to in order to end your turn, and then at the very beginning of your next turn use cold snap as many times as your mana pool will allow. Then attack the enemy twice to loot two more times. Do this for a few levels and your loan will be payed off in no time ;D

I just spent all that time paying back my loan so I could get whatever rewards to beat Unholy Temple and I got TWO stupid equips 1 of which wasn't even better than my current one!!!! The other was only slightly better. Wtf

Completed the game with, Face Of The Devil, Prince's Passion, World's End Amour, Dad's Gloves, Greaves Of Darkness, Ghostly Ring, Reaver Boots, Nomadic Shield, and Angelic Halberd. Thought this might help any trying for the hard badge. Need spells or anything else, just tell me.

So, I kept the enemy alive for days (!), just to score a ridiculously large amount of gold/loot, and my game crashed when I killed him. Did it again, twice - same result. Huh. Guess I won't be able to pay the debt back that easy.
