Please add: 1) All combinations of 5-of-a-kind. Account for a 2-vertical/2-horizontal and then sliding one in to match both. That is a 5 of a kind, and should heal you. 2) Gems Matched counter - This would alleviate many people's complaints about "grinding" since you know how far you are. 3) Enemies Remaining Counter - I'm only on the 3rd mission and my counting skills clearly aren't good enough. It will prevent future mistakes. 4) A "bestiary" and/or "inventory encyclopedia" that gives a better idea of what there is to sell, what they do, and what they're worth. 5) For combat, put the Surrender, Scramble, Enemy Counter, and Match Counters all in one bar where the Surrender/Scramble buttons are now. Then the playing field isn't impacted and there's a lot more value to the player. Love the Gem Match idea paired with the economy system idea!

Loot Tip : You can kill again and again and again each monster while your turn is not finished to loot again and again the same monster without taking damage.
Ex : Your turn starts, you kill the monster by magic and then Cold Snap * X times you can.

The game is not very good. Too slow for my tastes. And really the gem matching thiing is unecesary for the adventure type game.

After going against what everyone in the comments said, i decided to play this anyway, to get the badge of the day. However after playing for a little while I'm actually starting to enjoy this game. It's an interesting concept however it not everyone's style of game. So before anyone passes this up based on reviews you should give it a few minutes of your time.

Wow, a bunch of complaints on the pacing? It's not that bad... I mean it's a matching game for crying out loud. Not everything has to be an actionfest.

how about more info in inventory...what is the snail shell for? I cant equip it. And I assume this game is something like bejeweled? for someone who has never played a game like this explaining how to play would be helpful. The inventory management needs work.

very relaxing gameplay. kinda like bejeweled + turned based combat. i can see how it turns some people off but i enjoyed it

Even though i like the general concept of the game, it feels to slow to play, too small screen wise to enjoy and there are many small things along the way that just makes this game feel like an unrefined betaversion. A shame, i think i could really have enjoyed a more refined version!

It's a bit slow but the premise is quite nice. It'd be good to see some more varied spells, especially near the start of the game too.

If you kill an enemy on the first move of your turn and click the attack button again afterward you can kill the same enemy a second time for more loot!

tamtarter: how come it's meant to be unsellable? Isn't it bad design? Soul drain is a MONSTER ability that drains all your mana for 10 damage to monster, as advertised - it either drains 10% of my mana instead, or none. (After all 10% of 20 is just 2, I might not notice this small loss) Storm spam is Fire storm - Ice storm - Poison storm - Energy storm - Eternal rage, bam you've left with gold+chests only, a lot of rage and MORE mana than you've started with, and you've delivered enough damage to opponent to justify the time investment (5 turns, with occasional extra, meaning 2 attacks). Easy peasy.

@vesperbot, initial longsword is ment to be unsellable, souldrain takes 10% of damage so you need to do 10 damage in order to drain, don't know about Midas Touch, never got that one, what the hell is storm spam? and I have only got 3 coal and I have completed the final dungeon

Fire Storm -> Ice Storm -> Eternal Rage -> Wealth
Using high rage high damage weapon and that spell cycle worked too well. Just throwing in attacks whenever possible and matching obvious 4/5s. Really enjoyed the game, an interesting take on a matching game.

After replaying it and looking at it more thoroughly I'm happy to give this a 3/5 rating (out of 4/5 initially). There are too dam many bugs to not to notice, starting with an unsellable initial longsword, continuing into many monster abilities not working, most notably Soul Drain - monster does damage to itself but nothing to your mana, as advertised, and Midas Touch spell turning gold into one kind of gems visually (but many kinds internally), and finishing with storm spam as game-ruining utility and dam coal instead of anything worthy (it still sells, mind you).

Tips:
1. Eat all consumables, the stats they list are permanent buffs, and can not be used in battle to heal.
2. always perform the latest available area, often times these will yield better and more valuable loot.
3. buy upgrades asap, they will make proceeding forward in quests much easier.
4. some times its better to just go through several areas before doing a sell/pay off routine.
5. don't be scared to hit shuffle, its there for when you get stuck, even if it does drain all your mana pools, it can turn the tide of the fight.
6. Pay close attention to damage vs rage cost on weapons.
7. do your best to get loot modifier to 100 for every enemy, some times this is hard, and early on nearly impossible if not impossible, but is well worth it.
