I've completed the first 8 or so missions. I have 4 left that I can see on the first system. I also can't continue because I'm simply not powerful enough to survive any of these missions. And since you get no XP from losing, I'm stuck. 1/5 for a horribly balanced game.
Undefined, we expect better from you.....

haha i lost all my ships but killed the last enemy with corrosion... it said i lost but now i'm frozen on the victory screen :/

Would be a great game if it wasn't for the no-replay killing your new units' usefulness, and well.....other people have covered this enough by now.

You seriously have to change 2 things in this game... 1- being able to replay missions. 2- get rid of the stupid level cap.

Yet another fun game... as everyone said, it is really hard at the beginning. Here some tips...
1. Try Focus on just one skill per ship.
2. Try to use the more advance ship of the same type don't buy too many standard ship (400 gold) just buy 1 per type. And when you found more advance ship, replace the old one.
3. Try to level the most use energy skill, it is likely to be the best of that ship (just in some ship but all of them)
4. Exp is very important. Try to go for EXP skill and item.
5. Try to advance to the next area as fast as possible.

I thought I screwed myself by maxing out point defence (lots x small hits), the later enemies have too much defence, so I made a couple big single shot ships which starting to get all the kills.
However the commander vesel is awesome, I concentrated on it giving other ships lots of attack buff, this made the multi hit attacks mostly one shot kils even against the hardest enemies, then that same command vesel put up loads of defence buff and bingo, 2 ships can beat almost any level!
Point Defence, Corrosive Torp, Issue Orders, Formations = WIN (3 ships)

What a great game! You must have played Master of Orion nearly as much as I did.
I hope you continue to build on this as you have with the protector series.
It would be great to see more variety with the ships, weapons, and opponents, but like all the other complainers, I still spent a few hours playing it.

Corrosive torp and FF torpedo is a good way to level up lower level ships. Any corrosion damage kills go to the first ship of the fleet (the one that moves first), so simply selecting the ship you want to level up first in the ship selection screen will give all the corrosion kills to that ship. FF torpedo is a good way of potshoting enemy ships into corrosion KO range, as well as keeping friendlies alive.

Good game, not to hard, not to easy. The only problem I had is, that you can't choose where to place the ships. So i had to place 12 ships in a level and still used only my old 6 ships. (to get 1st hit)

Am i the only one to notice you took all these ships from starwars? The yellow ships are flying backwards unless you purposly intended that. Well anyway goodgame.

Seeing as undefined is known for TD's and such, this isn't all that bad. This game is the first try at expanding on what undefined already knows, and should be treated as such.

See the "Best Comments" section to understand why I'm rating this game 1/5. Levels need to be replayable and/or Battlefleet Capacity needs to be removed to allow levelling of new additions as you go along. IMO, more would be solved if beaten missions were replayable. Game is effectively broken.

I'd like to be able to know how many times i've upgraded each skill already - esp considering how careful one must be when upgrading :)

Stopped playing after I realized there was no replaying missions to grind.
Clearly this will be too easy to screw myself over and hit a brick wall of unbeatability. I don't want to tip-toe through a game, making sure I don't make a bad choice. I want to be able to experiment, and pay the consequences of grinding if my experiment fails.

I found a glitch, with the venom class ships, the target painter attack is glitched, when I used it, my turn was still on AND the energy was used even though it doesn't show...

Just finished the game with a highly optimated but still not flawless strategy. They difficulty is not too high; quite the opposite, it's too low sometimes so that you can get away too long with awful play and wrong strategic decisions. As a result the optimal strategy consists of not buying items except for XP boosts and the most useful armor shield, since the problem when commanding a well-balanced fleet lies not in beating the enemies, but just in leveling the right ships in the right zones at the right time. So there are some flaws in the game design, but nonetheless i give it 5/5 for the challenging experience.

Correctiong regarding BUG: numbers over 100 sometimes are just not displayed correctly, but work as intended (XP and damage). there is another problem where some sort of attacks make no damage (same attack makes 0 damage and then 87 in the next round). seems to be a bug related to armor.

in the second version, players recomend to:
1 - show the finished ''worlds''
2 - correct the damage bug >100
3 - replay on already finished ''worlds''

BUG: There is a problem with numbers >100. Hits for over 100 make 0 damage. XP bonus higher than 100 gets reduced by 100 (120 -> 19 e.g.).

Game IS good, but WAY too hard, and lacking replay missions. Also, it's VERY hard to understand WHAT and WHEN you should upgrade. 3,5/5.

I seemed to have missed key for Revenant,Binar,Fangalev,KunriII,Tuska,Orion and Home. the only mission left is in Jorellia
but I haven't got any chance at my lvl

- Buying a ship if your shiplist is full costs the money and discards the ship... not great.
- Target Tracer is ultimate weapon due to a bug that you can fire it infinite times per turn
- Command ship issue orders benefits are shown in wrong fashion on the ship during battle or in upgrade screen

bomber is awesome... at later levels hiz FoF do 80x3 damage to all in it's big radius, with high level crit items and max crit ability it burns up to 7 ships in 1 shot

WALKTHROUGH!!!!!! -Use only 4 Wasps, 1 Phantom and 1 Command ship. You only need those quantities, and all other ships suck. -For skills, on Wasps train nothing but Rail Barrage, on the Phantom train only Nano Repair, on the Command ship train only Issue Orders. -For secondary abilities, max extra XP first, then energy regen, then the rest in whatever you want.
-To train brand new ships, put the strongest XP boost items you can get on them and send them in one at a time with at least one high level ship. -When selecting ships for a mission, the order in which you click them is also the order in which they will move, so ALWAYS CHOOSE THE COMMAND SHIP FIRST! -The Issue Commands move of the Command Ship boosts the damage of every strike of a multi-hit attack. So for the Wasp Rail Barrage, which can get up to 9 hits in the later levels, the damage becomes downright unholy. They can annihilate most, if not all, of the entire enemy force before the enemy even moves.

awesome game. it looks difficult the first try, but once you realize that every system has a level cap and develop different strategies to level all of your ships equally, you won´t have any problems lategame. some tipps: xp is rare, don´t waste it for ships who reached the level cap in a starsystem already and level the xp perk for every ship to 10 . also try to advance in the game as fast as possible so you can get better ships as soon as possible. focus on leveling one skill/ship and don´t forget to grab a command ship skilling "issue orders" to get some crazy damage. i finished the game with 50k credits spare, 11 ships btw. lvl 39-54 and 6 xp improving items (+15 and +25%).

I really enjoyed this game. As long as you spend your money on buying new ships and getting them to make the final kill you can get them upgraded pretty quickly. The first part of the game is the hardest, the middle game is easy and u will find yourself free to destroy the enemy with weaker ships with the help of a main higher level ship to aid. The last part of the game will be difficult but as long as u saved enough money to buy some cool stuff for the end and researched correctly you will be fine. Took me 2 goes to finish this game. Just be careful on what u upgrade and try and get at least 8 ships kicking ass at some point. Only bad point was that I couldnt visit all the systems in the game :P Would be nice after completing the game u are able to do so.

Do not buy anything under Mark IV protection and only buy kinetic until the end. Always equip bombers with kinetic because the BFB is kinetic, A couple of MKIII kinetic plating is fine.
Make sure to go Revenant not Endurus, Binar has 3 15% criticals to buy.
This is the way I got to the end.
Tuska vs. Antaria doesn't matter I ran both routes.

Train classroom first, always, then for energy attack ships critical then juicing until you can get two shots before resting after that train energy then plasma plating
For bombers train classroom, then kinetic plating then jury rig, then energy then plasma. You absolutely need energy for the last legs of the game
For the phantom train classroom, jury rig, energy plating, plasma plating, repair crews. Only train nano repair
For the APS hulk from Britannia, Draconi is your friend, do not waste battles unless you get the APS hulk from Britannia in Draconi, that is where you train up your last new ship. Only train FOF torpedo, that hurts enemies and heals friends. I went with classroom, tactical, juicing (only until 2 shots before first rest), jury rig, energy plating, then plasma plating.

Only train one weapon on any ship you acquire.
Go to Plindus and get the APS Wasp, train rail barrage.
Get APS Phantom from Twig's Star, buy nothing except the most advanced critical from shops, 5% or more at best, save, save, save
Always use the maximum number of ships, You'll hit 50th level regardless by the end.

This game is awesome. You can't win it on the first or third or even fifth try. The only complaint I have is that APS ships are to far in between, the last you can really train is the valour hulk from Britannia. And the extras at the end are way overpriced though they aren't necessary to win. I've played 10 combos and this is what worked for me.
Dump the hulk you get initially and buy a bomber, The wasp won't be very useful in the end but it helps mid game with rail barrage.

Hi, found another bug. I'm not looking for them, really I'm not I just keep noticing them. Anyway, flux ammo is supposed to drain 4 energy from the ship that you are attacking. But instead it drains the energy from your ship. It does display a -4 energy icon on the ship you are attacking, but the energy is drained from your ship.

Not sure if this is a bug or by design - I beat the game and still have some sectors that I cannot get to. No more stations to kill either

Found a display bug. Minor, but annoying. On the fourth weapon slot for the hulk cruiser. Depending on the level you are given the choice of either battle stations or plasma smash. I went with battle stations. Now the bug: Every place that the weapon is now displayed, (battle screen, ship upgrade screen, etc. ) the damage type icon flashes rapidly back and forth between the icon for plasma and the icon for energy. This does not affect game play at all but having this rapid blinking going on in the corner of my eye is driving me huts.

Whilst it takes a fair amount of grinding and careful management of your ships to level them up in later levels IT IS BY NO MEANS IMPOSSIBLE. I suspect many gamers who are used to flash games being less challenging than this one are posting comments here asking for the game to be changed into something closer to what they're used to, and that possibly they are making an assumption that because they aren't winning there is something wrong with the game. Personally I think the difficulty curve (although admittedly challenging) is fine and you have a great game here. Keep up the good work.

I think it's too hard to bring new ships up to par with the battles they are trying to face. You can't buy an advanced ship until the 4th Gate, by then all of the enemies they have to face can wipe them out in one or two shots. You should be able to repeat battles in easier levels so you can level up your new ships.
