After getting into the game a little I realised that my ships sometimes even lose some of their their perks! When I looked at my lvevel 13 Wasp I could only see the Energy-Pros Perk maxed out and no sign of the recently aquired Combat-Drills. Together with all those other bugs the game is unenjoyable for me at the moment. I hope this changes soon as I love the game concept and I'm a fool for any in-depth strategy space game.

This game needs a strategy guide really badly. The difficulty curve is cool and appealing, but the mechanics are just too timeconsuming to find out. I didnt equip my A.P.S. Phantom with target pointers because I deemed them unneccessary... Now at level 10 I got the option to equip it with intelligent Nano torpedos instead... is it random chance based or did it just need certain prerequisites to get upgraded first?

I think I found a bug. I noticed that my Hulk ship didn't get any armor upgrades on some levels. It was level 7 but had only 7/5/6.

It's a pretty fun space game, though as it has been mentioned before the balance is way off. I suppose one way of looking at it is that this game is sort of like life. You can't go back, you can't reset. so just think 3 moves ahead, and hope to out-smart everyone else. The chalenge is what makes it fun. Oh, and JMCrooks, everyone else can make it outta the first star system. So what does that say about you?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Attempting to see what happens if I go through this with only two ships. The only reason I'm making these fights is because of my passive regen, repairing nearly 20 hp a round.

Great game. To win, u must be smart and patient. If u made mistake u must live with it! like Diablo 2 - save and exit option.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
- For each ship you must focus primarily on 1 attack only or you're screwed (except for command ship get atk&def+)
- Pick plasma for 1st hulk, wasp is useless fast, replace it soon
- Most battle description hints toward whether it leads to warpgate key, save optional ones to level new ships
- EMP Torp on bomber a MUST, same with energy syphon on a PS Hulk
- End game is pure plasma/energy damage
- 1 repair ship, 1 energy drainer ship and 1 high damage ship can take you through the entire game w/o components
- Save creds for end game components
- Save old ships as cannon fodder in final battle (up to 10)

Ridiculous, impossible advancement. Terribly balanced game. Did you even play it ONCE before you released it? You can't even advance past the first star system.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
you made a spelling mistake in the fleet overview tutorial(i cant remember how till spell it lol)you spelt this as thsi
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ok, seems I did some optimization error during the first missions. Now I'm stuck in the first sector with a fleet of 3 ships which cannot win any of the remaining battles. This means: Delete your game and start again. Oh, wait. It means: Play something else less frustrating. So far this is the first undefined game I rate below 3.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I was really high on this game and then I got to the point where I can't advance because of the low level of my ship and it just gets obliterated. Invisible curve made this game horrid.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So with the last few games from undefined, it kind of feels as if they haven't been really play-tested much. Some are boring, most are slow or laggy, and invisible/impossible difficulty curves. Don't get me wrong: I love the different things you've tried, the various types of games coming out. Keep putting out new games, just ... maybe shuffle up your play-testers to get some new feedback. Because certain things that get brought up every game don't seem to be addressed. Sorry for rambling. I love this type of game. I really wanted it to work, and I may come back and give it another 4 hours in a few days or so. But the inability to train your team, etc (all these points have been brought up by others, no need to rehash them here) make this one not so enjoyable to play after the third hour or so.

for all those thinking that the ships look like somthing off of star wars your probaily right but i think george lucas is way to rich to be worrieing about a small flash game ,, who cares

As much as I'd love to play this game, and I really, really do. It is EXTREMELY hard to do so.
As others have said, repeatable missions would be nice.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If replayable levels aren't possible it would at least be nice to be able to restart the game with any ships you want after beating it. A new game + feature or something. That way the game play itself wouldn't change but you could still try out new builds without having to raise a level 1 ship while the rest of your ships are level 30.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The gameplay is awesome, but the balance and usability need a lot of work. Balance is touched on earlier, but by usability I mean interface improvements like seeing the ships stats when picking feats and mouseover descriptions on all the stats. Still, a lot of fun.

The combo multi hit attack + command ship is overpowered...
The a.p.s phantom, with the special machine gun can make more than 50 hit with a single attack.
With a +50 attack bonus from a command ship, it basically kill ANYTHING.
And i'm not even talking about wasp's rail barrage...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I found Wasps surprisingly effective in the late game, not for their Rail Barrage but for their Tracer shot. It may look dinky in the beginning, but once it levels it deals massive direct damage at extreme range, and crits -more- than 100% of the time (I'm pretty sure I've been seeing it double-crit in the later levels... scary). I would also guess that using a Command's offense buff on a Rail Barrage Wasp would be rape in a can on turn 1.
I made the mistake of trying to spec the first-area Bomber for Torpedo only to later discover that it damages far better with BFB (with massive Kinetic armor to negate the self-damage). There's a Bomber that becomes available later that offers a two-hit Torpedo that ramps up in damage far faster.
I also tuned my Hulk for durability and make heavy use of Energy Syphon [sic], two of these can completely disable and then kill clusters of heavy enemy units, while the armor buff from a Command helps them get there intact.

Why is it that my level 4 phantom managed to insta kill two level 40 pirate bruisers by hitting them with target paint?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
quick guide- max xp perk first, pick Xenon not Kunri II, choose only one weapon to upgrade per ship, if you use a lot of wasp rail barrage, get one command ship and upgrade issue orders. you dont need a ton of ships so ignore most new ships. 6 ships is enough but more or less will also work. Have fun :). There are a lot of very cool strategies you can use to win this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is less than average. The skills are poorly detailed when you learn them; the layout is silly; the game scales WAY too abruptly. Did you guys not test the game before you released it?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
what good does it due to get a lvl1 aps ship way later in the game. with no real way to level it it makes this game a giant buzzkill. You must make a second engage with a way to gain more xp for lower guys!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great game, I had a lot of fun but it's kind of frustrating that I'm stuck on the last two mission without any other levels to play. My fleet isn't capable of beating these missions and I'd have to start all over with a different tactic. overall very entertaining but give the game some re-playable or trainer missions as other have already said.

quick guide to avoid restart- Always max xp perks first. Always buy and always use max xp equipment. Pick Xenon instead of Kunri II and buy and upgrade the rail barrage of the ship with the kong sticker on it. Wasps are excellent in the early and mid game, but get no more than three of them because they cant kill late game high armor effectively. I went for a final team of 8 ships but more or less ships probably also works. The rest is up to you :). If you follow these tips you should be able to defeat all enemies without restarting.

the fact, that you can send in a varying number of ships in each battle, gives the game a interesting strategic twist.
please, everybody that found it too hard, give it an other try, it is worth it!
here are some tips:
+only buy new ships if you feel you will soon need them.
+you will encounter many battles where you can send in only 4,3,2 ships. that means you will need a mixed fleet of 4-6 higher level champions and some mid level support.
+that also makes levelling of new ships easy. if your core team is strong enough, you will find 1 or 2 empty slots to send in newbies, nearly in every battle. (give them some learning enhancement.)
+ damage dealers should concentrate on one weapon each. don`t worry to much about damage types.
+ simple weapons for the start. more powerfull (and energy consuming) ones for the second generation.

There appears to be a bug when leveling up. I'm not sure what causes it, perhaps it is if you get 3 levels in a single battle, but whatever the cause one of my ships is missing a few perks for its level.
If you fix this bug can you please find some way of fixing this on the bugged ships like with respeccing or something.

1/5. No replaying missions, and I'm a level grinding, upgrading fanatic. Too bad too, seems like an otherwise great game. Undefined, y u do dis?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So white elephant in the room, but isn't this basically the ipods "Tactical Warriors" in Space right? I love both games, don't get me wrong, but just wanted to point that out.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Enderjmu Yeah, the flux ammo seems to be bugged. It doesn't work with the machine gun attack either. Personally, I think the bonuses should work for each of those attacks since high armor values make multiple attacks almost worthless in later levels.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'd give it a 5/5 but the fact that you can't play around with ships, and the fact that no information what so ever is provided about a ships ability’s/attack templates means you screw yourself over by just trying something new. I don't want to have to restart a casual flash game just so I can get the right combo to beat the damn game. So 2/5 because you don’t realize that flash games are for casually blowing off some steam not hard core gaming.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
... Flux Ammo does not work with Railgun either. Tried it on a bomber, but it didn't even show the icon... wasted my credits?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This item not working for anyone else? Flux Ammo (Drain 4 energy from target every attack), T3. I'm using Rail Barrage, but it's not working, despite showing the "Energy -4" icon.

bug: one can switch back and forth between an attack and "move" and can gain an extra movement point that way (re-roll the dice each time...)
