Protip: once you unlock the Village store use those cheese to alter elements to exploit weaknesses in grinding maps. Another protip: eventually for the last few story quests the "best" element is going to be Physical. So maybe put into Physical as your skills more than others.

I'm experimenting a bit and I think I like the Patrolman/Defender theyre the ranged "Protectorate". They attack really fast and have good ranges. I also like Warrior/Barbarian theyre melee "Tribes of Gorland". These guys have only 1 range which is boo but their insane damage is just wow. Any kind of a smaller map without many flyers they will dominate the living crap out of.

I finished all storyline quests, now I just need 6 more Protectemons and 16 more talents. Though now my units are strong enough to beat most maps, just a matter of replaying to get things.

Yeah I havent even tried a lot of the units yet I just realized I "beat the game" through by doing the last story quest. Oh well it was pretty easy with the strategy of "get 5 magic units, 1 for each element". Good grinding maps are the Cult of Skaran maps in the bottom right of the world in my opinion.

I hate that ranged is the only real way to go.... because melee is useless 90% of the time "Weakness physical, flying" FUAAA!! xD i suggest grabbing a ranged of every element and pumping points into hero's ranged skills. if you want to progress.

what a pity that kongregate do not have an online save system, it sucks when you change your computer and wanna continue with your progress. Hope it could come out ASAP.

With as much grinding as this game needs, saved game files would be nice if they actually worked...."No Save Game File Found"

Ah, name generator. I always wanted to watch Conan the Barbarian fight alongside Gandalf. Granted, Gandalf is an archer, but still.

I hate when they request permission to save stuff on your computer and u click no so many times that u get annyoed cuz obviously u just want to play the games but it doesn't save cuz u did not click yes.

Anyone else have a problem with the information ahead of playing a map not being the same as it actually is on the map? Some waves are supposed to be flying and they're not or absorbing and aren't? Kinda screws with what heroes I pick and items I load up on.

All that background, I really felt this was going to be an interesting and interactive game but then the awful graphics and simple defense game emerged... what was the point in asking all the questions and building such a huge story? What a waste of time

I find that I rarely use my melee units due to their limited range. If there was a was to "un-pave" some of the enemy's roads in order to force them to funnel past my limited-range units, I would probably use them more often.

Gotta love these unit names, nice work even though people won't read them most of the time :/ One of my recent ones: Greg, yes that greg.

Instructions for getting hard badge the easy way:
Don't buy heroes, just use current ones, and focus on Trainee Kirana. Pick magic oriented perks at the very start.
Under skills invest only in energy.
For Kirana, pick only magic use.
Items on Kirana for magic use boost, on other 2 support heroes lives.
When upgrading units focus on dmg.
Finish all the blue storyline quests on the bottom of the map.
I had some difficulties on some quests, but proper unit mixing helps. On most quests you just need Kirana.
Time wasted 43m: 21s. Good luck!

Good game, but I keep losing my saved games - any chance of an online save? I've done the first dozen quests over and over :-/

great game series, very unique, great combo of strategy, difficulty, and gameplay value, needs a few minor tweaks and would be perfect though still 5/5
