It seems kind of pointless to not be able to fully expand a units skill tree. I know that this game and related games have ceased being updated but I would love it if I could get my units to have their entire skill tree open so I can watch full scale badassery.

Sometimes units gain xp from poison damage and sometimes they don't. Does anybody know where to find out why that is; it is not in the protectopedia

In Protector IV.V do I want a unit with higher or lower speed. I mean does it correlate to the speed of attacks, or the number of attacks in a set time frame or the cooldown.
Basically of my 2 units : Engineer (Speed of 8) and Technomancer (Speed 5) Which is faster?

The way I beat Forged Metal. With fire Warriors (armor) and Wizards (debuff). And poison Trainees (debuff). I put them the best accessories I could find from stores. Low cost for paving gloves is good too, have one.

Or maybe since this is a weak / strong map flip-flop, maybe try for another completely different map. Or look for a unit with consecration?

Follow the red flags to complete the questline required for the hard badge. Try to skill into Wisdom on both your heroes and yourself early on to increase your EXP gain, then skill into damage. Melee units are bad, and are to be avoided. Try to have at least 1 Frost and Fire hero in your loadout. Good luck, this game is an old school jewel!

are skills cumulative? If I have 3 units attack with a 1 damage per second infection will the enemy lose 3 hit points per second, or 1 hp p/s
the same with the debuff, slow, bleed, etc?

While I know the game isn't maintained anymore; balance-wise melee needs a buff. There's too many maps where you can't use melee or else you lose to the flying rounds. And melee doesn't get enough of a damage boost to justify being used over stuff that can hit flyers.

i played for some time in this game and i have a little advice for all beginers. Take one mencary (with basic unit ,,wizard") and max him out in ,,magic" ,,elemenal" and buy items wich can change element

How does Paving Cost work? I had 30 costs because one hero had -15, then I gave another one -15 as well and I'm still at 30.

I don't really see the point of melee guys. It seems like a better idea to just make your range and magic really good rather than having units that can't hit certain enemies. Seems like a waste of money to me.

I've successfully played every decent tower game on Kongregate and yet I don't understand this game. I've played the second level at least half a dozen times and I can't get more than halfway through it. I've upgraded my characters, added inventory, revised strategy (placement, type, balance of upgrade vs. new tower), and patiently waited to repeatedly grind through level 1 and these multiple failures on level 2 of the campaign. Level 2 of the Storyline should not be this hard.

This line of games misses a couple very basic staples of the tower defense genre. First, you can't sell placed units. Second, you can't view the range of a unit after you've already placed them. If it had those two changes, that'd be worth at least another star.

Maybe it's just me, but more "speed up" options would be appreciated.
The one "Speed up" level is still too slow (especially for quests, where I know what to do). Right now the speed is 1x, 2x... I would like also 4x, 8x ... :)
