One thing that might help, being able to port your data from protector IV would be awesome, since this IS an expansion.

Let me begin by saying this has the definite possibility to be a 5 star game. However, this game needs to work on the dithering problem of the text and making the font size readable. Secondly, while I love deeply involved backgrounds, yours is just a tad too much. And it's not very clear. If the background choices give game stats/boosts, we need to be told. Finally, you don't get enough gp to actually buy Paladins, which makes having one pointless. There are no completion bonuses for waves, so starting out, spamming a board with archers and lvl'ing them is pretty much your only option..... 2/5 with a 5/5 possibility because you have the potential for a fantastic game.

quick note. storyline quests have shading behind them. normal quests do not have the glow. how is that for "filtering"?

ok so i noticed something odd, for a while now the first unit I place on maps gets a huge power boost, is there a reason for this?

IMHO, the main thing this game needs is better item/hero management. I really love this game. thanks for making it. I just wish I could organize my assets without pen and paper. I understand flash has its limitations, but Caravaneer 2 has a pretty handy system.

Curious. Is Arkandia Jones a waste of money? You spend $1000 to get a rusty ring you can sell for $59. Or a scroll worth $400 you can sell for $269. Money better spent on items you need in the stores? Have lots of money so have been sending him out frequently --- level is 300% efficiency. I am questioning his value.

Fun game. The shear number of "towers" you can add get insane. I kinda like it. The King's Armory is good too, though you can get by with 3 well Armed Towers in that. My total fav.

The game could be made harder to the end. When having 35+ ranged combat skill you can beat whatever except absorbers with crossbowmen.

After completing 4 to 5 maps, I became completely unable to progress further despite three hours of effort. I realized it would be several more hours, possibly days, of grinding before another map would be completable. No thanks.

Really good game, the hero units really make it feel like your building your own private warband which is awesome.
However it would be nice to see what skills units have before actually using them and viewing the level up page.

Some suggestions for protector V, 4x speed; On the stats page you could have more details about every faction's units, base damage, speed, special atack, the skill tree of each unit etc; the option of selling units, dismiss heroes; a more practical map; forbid you to buy a talent scroll if you already have it, automatically use the talent scroll when buying it; A more practical inventory.

A person is winning the Granpops Quest but then it appears putting fire sword foot units instead of fire mages and cross bow units is a mistake for reason you are told you fail the queat since about ten war locks get through.

Why is nearly every fire enemy at the start of the game flying, but the only fire unit at the start of the game can't hit flyers at all? Kinda... Annoying.

Protip: Focus on Wisdom and Elemental. I'm only using the mage hero Kirana and annihilating all levels due to high Elemental. I even renamed her "Master Kirana" :P the only waves I have problem with are the absorb ones (absorb Energy), but I'm waiting to get the item that changes the element of the hero, then the game is a walk in the park. 5/5

Easy gold game bug? buy items from what ever store (spend all your gold) go to menu then continue game. you have same gold before you spent it then sell items you bought. rinse and repeat for unlimited gold !

Oh my god I didnt know there was such a scroll as that. Good to know. I just have to focus on upping my loot chance more to get it I guess, as well as the other lootable talents.

The best way to get those high skill point talents is to reset your skill points with Player memory wiper. I've done that 3 times and only need to get poison 15, and swordplay 12 & ranged 12. Unfortunately, player memory wiper not in stores, I've only looted 3 so far. I need to get 2 or 3 more to get those remaining skill talents. Other than that, only other talent I'm missing is Plainswalker.

This game SERIOUSLY needs like harder "secret" challenges or something.... its gets too silly just repeatedly grinding trying to get the last few talents (the ones which require you to have a silly huge number of skill points in various things). Its just like, why even put those Talents in the game at all when there is no way anyone ever gets them by accident? You have to grind like mad and there is no real challenge you need to grind that far for to complete....

Oh also the priority for your skills with your Heroes should probably be Magic Use/Ranged/Swordplay (depending on which kind the Heroes are, also NEVER pick a Hero with 2 different kinds you want to ONLY use Heroes which Basic and Advanced units are the same kind), and then Elemental. Elemental also boosts your damage that is why it is good. I usually do Elemental about 1/2 the other skill. Also buy those Cliche Mage Hats from the Council Court store once you can they are godly. And the Forest Friend store has great items for ranged heroes. Finally the Coin store has a good item for Melee heroes.

Since I'm bored and there is no forum for this game I'll share more info I've found out. Scavenger/Reaver the melee of "Chaotic Covenant" are also extremely useful due to their very high attack speed. Also by repeatedly grinding those maps I mentioned (or really any but those two have only 5 waves each of high exp enemies so theyre ideal pretty much) you increase dramatically the odds of finding new Protectemons. Too bad those things only add 1 base dmg but meh.

Sorry for so many posts guys but: switch your melee to Poison and grind on "It's Good To Be Bad" map and switch your ranged/magical to Physical and grind on "It's Gooder To Be Badder". Units which attack faster gain MORE exp too!
