Well, Protector IV.V is a damn fine self-entitled 'waste of time' in my opinion. FLAGS with finished missions should blend out, maybe with a replay button listing them. Otherwise I just dreamed about your game and the map from Game of Thrones... Wildlings, Kneelers and Foreign Invaders...

Is there a random damage modifier per unit that sometimes makes two otherwise identical units deal greatly different amounts of damage, or is this a bug of some sort?

At first I thought this game was quite difficult, then i realised if you max both your ranged and the ranged of 2 (or 3) heroes, then have the heroes use alchemists you can pretty much beat almost any level with little to no effort or strategy. Other than that, I love the game like any other Protector, keep up the great work :D

Pretty fun could deff be better though, i would like the heros to only have one unit and actually be the hero updateable with items and stats like str and stam and agi but thats just me haha

Is it intended that you can hire the same hero twice? I'm not sure if it's just a glitch, but it seemed to happen to Jude the Miser after I changed his name.

Wow, I guess it's good I looked down at the comments. I've been spending forever trying to get my set of element switch items (which I had in the last version), and I was starting to get so frustrated with none of them coming up. Just one thing...element switches may not be dropping in loot, but it looks like the ones in the shops still exist. I just bought the energy switch one from the council shop. Also, the problem with just getting rid of the temporary element switch items is the fact that you'd still be able to switch elements, it's just that you'll be forced to do so over and over again using permanent change items, like the various cheeses from the one shop for example. Granted, I'm not sure why I'm saying any of this as protector 5 is surely very well under way by now, but regardless.

FYI guys, this game is 2 years old, and been abandoned by its developer as you can see last fix is in April 2011, so no point to comment about upgrade =)

A hold fire button that allows your other units to gain experience instead of just one exp hog taking all the kills would be nice.

The normal quests stay too easy after you win the game. Some should scale with your level to make continuing still possible.

After the first quest, when we get to the "treasure" part, the line "Treasure is great, gold lets us..." includes a comma splice. This comma should be taken out, multiplied and put elsewhere, and be replaced with a semi-colon; you could also split this into two separate sentences.

Maybe a "You sure?" button after sending a person away, cuz there was this guy I really really wanted (he was WAYYYY better than any of my others so far) and then I accidentally clicked the "send away" button instead of hiring him, because I wasn't paying attention. Man, for once I actually hope someone returns...

so... now I have 30 elemental skill points, when an enemy is labeled as "strong" against my element, I actually deal 110% of my normal damage which is more than if the enemy was neutral to my element ^^

more games on kongregate need to have a save system connected to their account. it sucks whenever i spend a lot of time playing it the day before to come back and find out none of the data remains. thats the one thing about armorgames that i like better than kongregate

does anyone know how to beat the second Hamlar quest "forged metal", and then i mean the beatles on wave 14, i just can't get through them... pls help
