I just found my answer, see you're supposed to open the spellbook and get the spell you wanted. Why is it set up like that.

I noticed that one of my spells called Rend has disappeared from my list without explanation. Not to mention I went back to Master Xio to see if I could relearn but I can't. As a result I think its some kind of glitch.

Even if you turn off all the special effects it still slows down after an amount of time. Although you can complete the episode by that point (unless in arena mode). I hope that episode 2 will come quick before I forget about it again ^_^

FOR THE DEATH FROG IF YOU'RE A SHAMAN, USE THE GUARDIAN ANGEL ABILITY SO IF YOU DIE THEN YOU'RE REVIVED. LIKE IT SO PEOPLE WILL SEE IT.

is it necessary for me to HAVE to take rez sickness? why can't i just walk to my body? you die easy enough already...

A bug with at least rogues is that around 30-40, it doesn't give you +10 energy after the rounds, but +20 energy after 2 rounds instead. Lost a couple of battles due to not being able to do a sinister strike because of this.

Hrm... Shaman is effective against things that aren't the Doom Frog. Just don't let him run out of mana. For the Doom Frog... remember Darkmoon Faerie? It's kind of like that fight, where the guy either does nothing or one-hits you.

Ah... to clarify my comment from earlier... Shaman gets only 1 *in battle* mana regen ability (Ghost Wolf is pretty good, though the cooldown is odd but negligible, and the fact that it isn't passive/toggled is also odd). I also have to mention the potions and whatnot that cannot be used in battle (why would I use them out of battle?! I can just sit still and regen!)

Value of weapons seems to be a bit odd too: Broken Wine Bottle (6-13 damage, level 12): 2 Silver 34 Copper. Lumberjack Axe (7-13 damage, level 9): 1 Silver 14 Copper.

Part 2:
Also, all restore/damage over time abilities reduce in effectiveness with time. Damage increases with level, but damage/restore over time does not? So 60 damage over 5 rounds is kinda useless late-game (Barbarian), and 100 mana restore is less useful if you've got 400.
Grinding a Shaman to level 40 now, seeing if Ancestral Spirit revives once or multiple times. If I missed some strategy or another, sorry.

Shaman seems to be at an inherent disadvantage. From what I can see, gaining more max mana is useless (unless the spell damage is based on mana amount used, which is not true AFAIK) and spells end up costing more for no benefit. There are few silence/stun abilities for shaman, but it is made up with increased HP and survivability. The point is, you *will* take damage, which is always worse than taking 0 damage. Scout has a cheap silence and *2* stun abilities (3-round stun costs 25, while 2-round costs 40? WHAT? Make it a replacement, not an addition). Shaman has two stun abilities, one with a 45 round cooldown? And Shaman gets no in-battle mana regen except through an ability (Scout gets what, 20 energy every 2 rounds + ability, Shaman gets an ability with a 60 round cooldown + potions.)

I'm really amazed to see how much the combat system has improved since the first game. By leaving the skills and interface the same and allowing you to just open your bag during the fight the game has become immensely more similar to WoW. A good thing in my opinion.

Uh, finally doomfrog is dead. It's pretty easy with scout lv 33. Buy 2 stun skills and sucker punch. Use stun for 2 rounds, 1 hit, stun for 3 rounds, 2 hit, sucker punch, 2 hit, stun for 2 rounds, 1 hit... He can't do nothing if you doing like this, and you need no flash bombs :>

I notice the scouts and barbs start weak at the beginning of the arena... The boar's slash does way to much damage and is used way to often...

Easy way to beat doom frog: Barbarian lvl 27, (all skills up to level 27), 1. spend all your gold on flashbombs, you can buy flashbombs from Zurgul after you complete his manure quest. When you have all the flashbombs you can buy, go fight the doom frog. All you have to do is use your skill that sacrifices health for rage, use the skill that gives you rage over time, or use battle shout (you only need 20 rage so pick whichever 1 to use first). Use pummel, when pummel is down (after 3 turns) use intercept, after intercept is down (after 2 turns) use the flash bomb. Keep spamming pummel-intercept-flashbomb, until he gets down to about 2800 hp. Once he is at that much hp, keep stunning/silencing him, but this time instead of attacking between turns use execute instead. Congratulations, doom frog was no match for a lvl 40 barbarian :). *Up please so people who are having problems with doom frog can see*
