This game is done really well, and it's replayability is legendary. The first part was inspiring, and the second one is also writing history of turn-based rpgs. The developers used the wow sprites very well, adapted spells, locations, and also managed to set up a good story and gameplay. We can surely say both parts got challenging, and tactical parts (skirmishes, permastun enemies), and only the expansion is suffering some excessive grinding from 15 or 16 to 20. Today these aren't great words, but when this game was made, such improvments were new and coding was rough. This is a timeless masterpiece!

How to win practically every battle: Step 1, cold blood + charge. Step 2, frost nova. Repeat this step after every other step. Step 3, adrenaline. Step 4, heroic strike/lash of pain, depending on gear and stats. You will most likely want to use heroic strike, but this depends on your personal preference and stats. Step 5, use magic dust if stamina runs low. It's not often you'll need to use magic dust, but I'm listing it for those battles that require it. Step 6, execute as soon as possible, preferably with stamina to spare for high damage. Follow these steps and you can beat just about everything. It's worked pretty well for me so far, anyways

I love this game every time I replay it. It sucks that there won't be more. I never got to use the ultimate gear since I beat all the big bosses at lvl 15.

At 869 armor, I was taking about 13%-14% less damage than I was when I had 616 armor. Can confirm armor plays a role in damage reduction in a major way.

What does the armor stat do ? I got the mage skill that gives me 60 armor but the enemies certainly don't seem to be dealing 60 less damage

the cash grind is real.. i wish this was the postman edition so once u beat the guy at the end of the arena u get NaN gold

Can someone explain what do stats give me? I got a staff that gives +16 intelligence and also 3 items that give bonus to strength and yet I deal the same amount of damage, recieve the same amount of damage and my health has stayed the same. Is there any point in stats?

Came back to this game for the first time in years to find an expansion, pretty neat.
For anyone having trouble with the Stranglethorn content, make sure you max out your skill trees before you start speccing into something else. The cornerstone abilities of Adrenaline Rush, Execute, Polymorph and Pyroblast have huge impacts on how a fight plays out. At level 15 I'd managed to fight my way up to Helm and Hakkar simply by spamming pummels and heroics strike while weaving in polymorphs and snorting dust like a madman to chip away at enemies without letting casters heal, and the only real trouble I'd had then was the rogue, before I found out Zul'Gurub was over to the east and I could get a shield that tripled my armour there.
Still haven't beat Helm and Hakkar but I figure I can once I get a few level ups so I can actually wear all the raid gear.

Tip in how to destroy the Arena. One you will have to have the full fury talent bar to the left, and have the full magic talent bar to the left. Then you will buy lots of magic dust *have them until you have one slot of inventory left* always when the arena matches start you use cold blood then charge then use polymorph use magic dust then cast pw shield then cold blood + pummel. Rinse and repeat till your opponent is dead *you can try in zulgurab too*
