An excellent game! I'm really amazed by the graphics, the balance of troops, and the game itself!
And I just want to give a tip to those who are struggling to complete the hard badge: Heavy Commando and Strike Commando can turn into Albatross Transport for free! This means that if you only consentrate on taking out the Flak Tank's and the planes, it will be really easy and cheap to make a barricade which they can't break trough! Use this to defend you warmachine, and just push the barricade forward as it suits you!
PS: Albatross Transport's are the "fastest troops" in the game, use them to came close to a turret, and crush it!

I'm getting the feeling that when your unit isn't in full health, like for example, a flak tank's health is already red, it doesn't destroy a raptor fighter in one shot like it usually does. Why is this so?

Great game, again, but here's a suggestion... if not in use for other controls, always allow the WASD keys as an alternative to the arrows. Repeat, ALWAYS. Especially so for mouse-intensive games. Perhaps the developer is a lefty... but for those who mouse with their right hand, WASD is far more comfortable (in this case for scrolling around the map) than are the arrows.

Chapter 4 might have been such a Nightmare, it is possible, but if you lose your ranged units then it will be impossible

i like the nemesis graphics better, i also liked how nemesis was structure structured. that is no war machines you had to capture and hold certain points. still i'm happy to have another installment.

Why am I unable to use pickups and repairing in bonus map? There is the menu from previous games which demands money for repairing.

Dude i was thinking when i came into it "man i can just go play Advance Wars for the DS and i can get more" then once i got a little into it i couldnt get my self to play Advance Wars again for lack of features :D

Good game, but the AI should treat its war machines more carefully. Especially when playing the hard difficulty setting, going straight for the war machines makes winning a lot easier.

protip+:if you attack a enemy with a lancer tank and you have an ally behind the target enemy, that ally gets hit too =(

Level 4: There's a trick to it. Move your squadron until you reach the 2nd bunker. Move your melee units away from the Spider Tanks' range. See the first mountain at the bottom of the map? Put your Rocket tank at the 3rd curve of the road, Mortar tank to North-east of rocket truck so both ranged units can hit the first mountain at the bottom of the map. Spiders are lured to ranged units and get destroyed. Move your melee units safely :). Win

To pass chapter four (hard): You need to destroy all of the enemies; that includes the spider tanks being produced every turn and the scorpion tank next to the warfactory. What to consider: *the mortar and all of the trucks can destroy a spider tank on open ground in one hit. **the spider tank can usually destroy any of your vehicles except for the annihilator in one hit. *Use the annihilator to tank damage and deal extra damage, you will be able to retreat it and repair it on some occasions. **You need to get at least one ranged unit past all of the blockades to destroy the scorpion tank, preferably the rocket truck since it has longer range.
*Your ranged units are vital for this mission, losing one can mean a restart is needed. *You can sacrifice your other tanks at the end to deal the extra damage needed to destroy all of the enemies.

On chapter 9, the AI sent it's warmachines over to me via barge... I'm certain it shouldn't be throwing the game like that.

Mikauo_Xblade Try placing the mortar truck on the hills between the mountains. They 1 shot spiders, even on hard. Use the rocket truck to take out some of the barriers from a distance, and wait until they start running out of money (They don't get enough to build a spider tank every turn). Then Mission 4 becomes much easier. Hope that helps!

Enemy AI thinks like, Oh, you destroyed half my army and is now trying to defeat my remaining turrets, tanks, units, and planes? I'll just send my last Warmachine out in the ocean in a Leviathon right next to your planes and ships then!

I beat Chapter 5 by sniping his War Machines with my Rocket Trucks. I never even got my other units halfway across the map XD

@thelloyd to beat level 4 move your long range units toward the factory and destroy the normal tank in addition to all of the spiders spawning. Once no more enemies are left you'll have beaten the level.

In response to Muffins, the second mission has Tucker warn Yurik that you cannot fire onto ground troops entrenched in the new terrain, "canyon." In response to Joverla, my strategy was making short stops along the way to Durand's main spider outpost. At every barricade, I would destroy any spider tanks coming at me with mortar tank, the annihilator tank, or the flak tank. The rocket tank is actually ineffective against the spider tanks. Then I would use my rocket tank to destroy the barricade as the spider tanks approached. If my tanks were badly damaged, they would be fixed. The spider outpost eventually runs out of funding and cannot send any more spider tanks for a while. Use this vital time of relative peace to advance. A better place to hold up, if you want to camp, is at the bottom-left corner of the map. This area offers more space so you don't have to deal with the sudden spider attacks from the mountain range. For pretty much any map:
1. spam rocket trucks
2. make a palisade around your trucks with scorpions and annihilators
3. pull damaged tanks back and send in reserves
4. wait until just a trickle of infantry is left

@Gavyn444: I'm having the same problem. I finally managed to get three healthy units to the southeast corner, including a mortar truck. Ended up in a quagmire where I could destroy every spider tank they made and never get hurt, but I couldn't complete the mission because of that damn factory behind the mountains...oh damn, maybe if I had used the mortar truck to destroy the tank and one more spider tank...

does anyone else find the idea of building an intrepid (sea capture unit) from a war machine ironic?its not like your going to be using properties if you have war machines...

I find it funny how many people are calling this advance war ripoff. Ive never played advance wars so i could be wrong in saying this but..... Why cant there be a game based off an older game without it being a ripoff? So should i call any FPS game a ripoff of the 1st FPS shooter due to it being just that, a fps?
