So, i was having troubles getting the medium badge when i read Marvaddin and Pla post...
Everything was going alright, and just when i had 30 lives and only 10 turns to win the last level... just when i was thinking "there is nothing that can stop me now" i got a blue screen...
...really? why?
Anyway, nice game had fun.

Bummer... on OS X Lion and the Flash bug has screwed me. I was doing quite well then the Flash local storage request popped up and I'm stuck...

A tough badge, but some extra tips (situational):
Monitor your health, yellows, and hatch times more than others,
Leave space to back out of a bad transform if you do not have vampiric ready,
Harvest yellows if necessary or you will die quickly late game,
Consider "wasting" vampiric on ~5 hexes if there is a large yellow chain nearby - this adds quick health and allows for recharge of yellows,
Try to line up lasers for gold eggs + reds/yellows to help yourself.

Although the hard badge is quite difficult to obtain (quite some luck involved too), i surprisingly didn't get annoyed after the numerous attempts of obtaining it in the past hour cause the game is just so damn good :P

small tip NEVER use that laser thingy when eggs start to hatch late or at any time cause a line of eggs will instantly blockyou

I find it kinda funny that you can get the medium badge before getting the easy one, and being good enough means that you have to voluntarily lose to get it.

So, what do you need to do to get the middle badge? I've won 5-level mode 4 times now, no badge. Normally I'd assume that Kongregate just failed to give me a badge, but the "5-level mode" button in the opening screen has only has one disc lit up, which makes me think that there's something else I need to do to get the badge. Any ideas?

This 100K thing is much harder than the comments make it seem. Idk if I just have the worst luck in history but golden eggs NEVER appear for me. By 13 turns I only had 27K. I love the game but damn. It's too bad there's never been a sequel.

Uhg, I get 100K and lose net. Kept trying again just to get to 96ish only to fail. People are right, way too much luck involved. Would love to see different color eggs to allow for some strategy.

Not a bad one. Frankly, Marvaddin gives a good piece of advice. Whenever you want to get health from a big group, and you have vampiric transform and harvest ready, cast transform first. If anything, you will get a nice boost of those sideline cuties that weren't part of the group before. AND - I am a lucky, lucky bastard. On my 2nd try unlimited, I got 111797 points and still had 22 health. I quit the game then - after all I already got the badge. :)

it would be nice to know what level you were on when you died. maybe some other stats like how many gold eggs you got or how many of which color you collected the most or killed the most. otherwise i love love love this game.

The problem with the Hard achivement is that you can be going well, then because of the randomness, you can suddenly get a level where you can have two or three massive groups that just wipe the level and make it impossible to not get egg-kills.

The problem with this game is that the hatching types appear to be truly random. That results in a lot of scenarios (sometimes multiples hatches in a row) where you get very small groups, which means that even if the user plays perfectly, they still lose quickly a vast majority of the time. That should never be the case, and any developer worth their salt will tell you that true randomness (i.e. no game intelligence) is just plain poor design. It turns what would be a mildly fun game into nothing but a series of frustrations. And, frankly, this game type is so simple that not having any intelligence is a sign of either pure laziness, or sincere disdain for your users.

To continue Marv's tips, if the transform ability turns the targets red, use the blue ability "harvest" to double the amount of life you're taking in

Ingenius, puzzling without extreme complexity, cute things being blown up... I do believe this game has everything. 5/5

hard: make large clusters by creating eggs between smaller clusters. use transform on large (non-red) clusters. Hopefully (1 in 3 chance) you'll get red cuties, then use harvest on them... failing that, just use vampiric touch on those large clusters when you don't have any transform/harvest left. use jump to get around quick and use black powers to collect golden eggs :) 100k!

Well after getting 70,000 points, I tip my hat to those who can get the Hard. Hell, I'll give you my hat because it seems that every star in the universe must align to get the right sets of everything when you need them.

This is a really great puzzle game. It manages to be unique, yet familiar. It can be frustrating at times since luck is a part of the game, but skill and strategy will also do wonders. Just beat 5 level mode and enjoyed it..getting 100,000 points...that's going to be a bit harder.
