bjhammer you can see your turns in the top right corner, in the newspaper. And the turns are RED - VIOLET - BLUE - GREEN.

i like the ideas. But i wish that there was a more structured gameplay. I often don't know when its my turn or what turns i have available. Maybe it just needs a few sfx to indicate or a risk-style three-step gameplay that is signalled somehow on screen.

Love the subtleties about war, like the beutiful lanscape getting charred after battles with the gravestones. Great game.

851184 as green, 36 turns, on hard.
I'm assuming everyone is fighting their battles on hard setting when posting these right?

As long as you have the morale, well done tactics, and maybe some map advantages, you can defeat enemies. Not a whole lot of luck involved in this game, I like that.

851184 as green in 41 turns - treaty with blue on turn 4 start and go for violet. Without treaty, its unpossibable. Thanks for this map Retained_Walnut, it was impossible until I remembered treaties.

Another map; 636837 has Bluegaria isolated once again, but not on an island. They are on a small landmass accessible only through one 1-hex wide route. Also, the watermasses in contact with Bluegaria's land do not have any ports, making Bluegaria's capital easily defendable.

161281 Blue, hard mode, 29 turns. I signed a pact with violet about turn five before we made contact so that saved a bunch of units. Violet finished off red and I wiped green. I snuck around the bottom of the map and captured a city close to violet's territory before they finished red and had a nice base to launch my attack on them as soon as red bit the dust.

161281 as Blue, hard, 36 turns. No "enemy units turning into naval units" either. Honestly the comp made some tactical mistakes, but still... Cannot believe I pulled that off.
*Sorry correction, was as blue not green*

For the people who couldn't sign a pact. Try that when you have more cities then others. The logic is very simple. If you are stronger, your potential enemies are willing to tag along with you.

Map #978188 is an interesting fight as Green. It took me 39 turns on hard. I defeated Purple first, then Red, and finally Blue. I tried to make a quick conquest of blue but the red got there fast enough to save them resulting in a protracted war.
