the best way to get keep your morale up is to capture citys, hexes, ports, win battles and also never put your smaller troops into your bigger troops it will bring your morale down so put bigger troops into smaller troops for a small bonus

Map 865358 as Bluegaria. Sign a pact with Greenland. Between their two capitals are basically empty, so if you sign a pact with Greenland, they would leave it empty. Move your troops around so that Greenland can't get a lot of land, but make sure that they're not surrounded by Bluegaria, so that they can help you against Violets once they conquered Reds. Green will betray you, but you can take their kingdom easily.
After that, fight against Violets in the north to take their towns, but then sneak on the south and take their capital, freeing the Reds, and after that, reds would be easily conquered.
That's my strategy as the Blues.

This needs to be made into a multiplayer, stat! Another cool feature might be some type of infastructure bonus that lets troops move farther. Some kind of reward system triggered by... something, I dunno, you're the designer! This game has soooooo much potential. Favorited, 4/5 stars (you'll get 5/5 on the next release. promise ;)

I like how you can just have a random unit loitering around right in the middle of the enemy's base picking up territory and ports and the AI just doesn't care at all.

Protip: Read the tutorial. Explains that power = troops + morale (sum of 2 numbers), higher power always wins, and morale goes up when you win a fight and down when you lose.

As long as you have the morale, well done tactics, and maybe some map advantages, you can defeat enemies. Not a whole lot of luck involved in this game, I like that.

Certainly a 5-star game, a great strategy skill needed to win. Animations please. Larger maps. More people. More. More Hex Empire!

@returnofthemstra: In case you did not notice, Greenland always moves last. On many maps this is a decisive disadvantage.

262630: Very interesting map with three separate continents, as well as a small island. Redosia and Violetnam share a continent. Interesting game, not much of a challenge but highly entertaining, play this if you like amphibious assaults and general naval warfare.

i love the game, its simple yet addictive and difficult enough to challenge your brain, i agree with blah321123 though, a level editor would be awesome, even without it, 5/5 and favorited

A challenging yet simple game that is put together very well. The only thing that would make it better is a multiplayer

Upgrades will ruin this game and make it boring and uncreative. It's simplicity gives it elegance. Maybe unlockables, but definately not upgrades.

Map #978188 is an interesting fight as Green. It took me 39 turns on hard. I defeated Purple first, then Red, and finally Blue. I tried to make a quick conquest of blue but the red got there fast enough to save them resulting in a protracted war.

Will there be a Hex Empire 4 that is more similar to this with bigger maps? I think we can all just erase the existence of Hex Empire 3 from our memories.

Amazing game! Simple yet very complex in terms of possible strategies.... Feels like D-day when I make landings from the water! My suggestions for a sequel would be a larger map with more countries involved. And maybe make it to where the enemy isn't completely out for my blood from the get go. I have seen the enemy skip everything else and go straight for my capital on normal difficulty. Not hard to stop him, but it's annoying. Makes me feel like I'm playing an amateur bot. Maybe make it seem like the enemy has some intelligence? Hell, they don't even defend their own capitals!

Hello everybody! The creator of this amazing game, uunxx, is working on the next Hex Empire game! It is called Hex Emprires: Grave Consequences. It has its own website and uunxx is there answering everyone's questions within a day. Here are some things that have already been established.
It will be much simpler than HE2 and a lot more like HE1 (no structure building)
There will be an optional multiplayer mode.
There will also be a single player mode
There are going to be 6 players per map
All positions not filled by real players will be filled by computers.
The computers will be smarter (no capitol abandonment)
There will be a new tile type: mountains, and they will act as natural walls.
THERE WILL BE A MAP EDITOR! So you can make awesome island maps, super hard maps, any kind of map you want.
Sign up at the website for free and show your support!!!
I really hope you all join and I will see you at HE:GC (I am DaRoyalHobo if you want to add me).

Darn you kongregate comment system, lacking any way to edit or delete. Now I must live with the shame of having typed 'thout' instead of 'thought' forever D:

I performed some experimental games on the blank map and my experience was that on easy the enemies are completely uncoordinated and just attack whoever's closest, on medium they make half-hearted attacks on each other but for the most part focus on the player, and on hard they all focus on the player.

Wow, the first time i saw this thing i was hooked. I started looking for the 3rd one only to find they kinda fudged it up. Since then it has been a nice relaxing game for me to play, (until everyone decids they all hate the color blue.) The best part is when once you've beaten a country to their capital, they all happily let you have peace.(while you gather your armies around them.) Great game, always will be.

722378 beautiful map with red and purple on one continent, blue and green on separate islands and a big island in the middle.

one of the best strategy games on kongregate i love how each individual country has it's own strategy and the creativity of the map. Plus the amount of maps is lots of fun. Also it is really realistic factoring moral with the soldiers is amazing and cool. this game requires lots of strategy witch makes it fun. This game Needs badges desperately. + up so admins and developers can see.

Love this game. I like the music in the background. If you didn't notice it, it sounds peaceful but then you get eerie and dark undertones, kind of like a peace before a storm... Or in this case, a world war. Still a great game.

135 turns on Hard difficulty. Jesus fuking Christ every time I invaded his island, he crushed my invasion force. That felt like trying to fight WW1 with the trenches being hexagons!!

To mute: click the icon on the right side (looks a bit like the electro symbol for speaker), it's right above the icon that looks like a Q. One can only mute after starting a game but it stays muted unless one reloads the page.
