I agree with Grandemperor15. Losing your main capitol should be game changing. But it shouldn't necessarily mean gameover. Losing your main capitol should wipe out all of your moral, or at least all most all of it. Your troop production should also be halved or something. A bit more realistic, but their way just ends the game faster.

grandemperor15: After fighting a long war, when the enemy captures the capital, the heart of your country's power, people will lose their will to fight.

In war, an enemy capital can be captured but the armies keep fighting, so it should not end the game once your capital is captured

How is no one complaining about the contradictory instructions? They tell you that the army with the most manpower will always win, but time and time again I find myself losing battles regardless.

Tips: take and sustain the territory whenever you can, it reinforces your army and most importantly lowers your's enemies armies
Use that peace with enemies not on your direct line of conquest
Conquer ports, they distribute their manpower to other cities and can effectively make your army way stronger then the enemies
Distribute soldiers in choke points so you can quickly retake lost land, land also make soldiers
Use spartan tactics, close the gaps with 99/99 armies
Use persian tactics, throw little armies so the enemy get late to your cities, allowing you to reinforce it and unalowing him to reinforce
Guerrilla your way into a stronger enemy, spreading soldiers 1/2 turns away from most of his unguarded cities, in low-importance territories. in 1 turn you can paint half of the map your colour

It's remarkable how this is not a contest between four players for supremacy but between the three AI players for who can kill the human player first.

It still gets me that the AI of all factions comes after me no matter what they have to go through. Even though all nations are at war. They still have an unspoken agreement to come at the player at all cost.

Step one: Find target.
Step two: Ally them.
Step three: Put ships full of unites next to their captial.
Step four: When their week take them over!
Step five: Rinse and repeat till world is conquered.

Steve296 - take the city just north and right of your capital first, send your next capital army to your right and start taking those outlying cities heading north. don't worry about defending your colony cities just get a built up army to redosia's capital as quick as you can.

My strategy: Play as Redosia, ally with Violetnam, built up at least 2 99 tanks on violets border. Wait for Violet to move tanks away from your 2 99'ers, shamelessly betray Violetnam and take capital. Win.

178886, violetnam, hard mode. Can somoeone please tell me how to win? I want to feel superior over a dumb ai that can only win by cheating, towards which I feel infinite contempt and deathly hatred.

I wish this AI wasn't so predictably stupid. There are a few moves the computer makes that are just beyond ridiculous. Notably the Kamikaze-style suicide attacking that always leaves it vulnerable to losing a city. Kind of takes the fun (and challenge) out of playing when you can always rely on the computer sabotaging itself.

One war lasted 100 turns... I was Violetnam, who just killed Redosia and the last empire standing was Bluegaria, which killed Greenland. Border struggles with Bluegaria lasted around 30 turns, then i capitulated because it was a pinpoint stalemate. But it turned out that I surrendered on the 100th turn! Wow!
