Stuck on Guarding Sungard -- I've been all over Sungard and haven't found anything to take back to the Rootvale seer. There's a puzzle gate that says "looks like this switch needs a rune to operate it" and there's only one switch and I have no idea what to do. HALP!!!

The game is not that bad. But the skill and battle system are not well thought out.
For example the mage has a passive skill that gives +20% damage reduction while the warrior has a passive skill that gives +10% damage reduction and reduces his damage by 10%. Another example is the skill Concentration: It adds 30% damage to your next 3 attacks... So you do more damage (and save stamina) if you just attack 4 times instead of using the skill and attack 3 times.
#1 Why do the passive skills matter? Mages typically have much less health so what's the problem with giving them a bigger buff? #2 What if you're crippled? Or debuffed to the point where attacking won't do much damage? What if a regular attack just isn't the best choice at the moment? You're thinking too linearly.

I had a level 10 guy and was really enjoying it now hes gone and I either start all over or quit i am not doing all that over again just to lose my character again....

Overused internet meme aside, I loved this game. I NEVER buy premium content, but I grabbed my credit card and grabbed some Kreds ASAP. LotV was awesome, and this one was no exception. Awesome work and well done.

All the resistance/weakness thingie is a bit weird. Why can a spirit be frozen? Why can a stone golem be burning? Why can a sceleton be stunned? etc. Battle tacticks sucks, because a unit from any row can attack an enemy from any row. That way melee and ranged are no different, there can be no tanks etc.

it would be cooler if you could choose who to safe a wizzard a warrior or a rouge because then u can have more stratagie at the biginning

@Helgihard Since you are a rouge the only weapons you can use a sword and a bow. Twig, wand, staff, scepter, etc are a mages weapon
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ok. I have a rogue and I found a rare twig that required a magic stat of 13. So I spent 2 precious skill points to magic but still I am not allowed to use it! Is this a bug?

@drkleiner, I think it would mean 10,3%. Or possibly 1,417%(1,3*1,09) but I really doubt that as I do see a noticeable increase of crits witch such gear (much more than 1-2%.)

@Alectric,
yes it does reset your skills too. It also de-equips your current gear, so a tip would be to 'junk' all the current unequipped gear in the inventory before you re-assign so it will go faster to equip your character again.

@infomage27
It confused me too in the beginning. A tip is to look at the equipments requirements. If it is a Strength req, you know it is for warriors and if it is Agility you know it is for rogues. Some items show requirements for both strength and Agility, which wont help you there. But don't forget that you can also click the respective button for Mage/Rogue/Warrior to make the shop only show items that can be equipped by that class.
I wouldn't spend too much time in the shops though as you constantly get better gear through the battles. Maybe around level 12-15 when you are getting ready for the endgame. And when you are there, don't forget the two secret shops (mentioned among the top comments). Good luck!

I don't remember if I commented already, but this is a great game. So much fun trying new skills and experimenting with combinations and gear. Big plus for cheap reset of skills! 10x character lvl is just exactly the right price.

I'm confused by the items... Massive Steel Boots of Wealth cannot be worn by a Rogue, but this isn't indicated anywhere, except by the X in the inventory screen - i wish I knew this *before* i spent all my money on it at the shop.

I know there's a button to redistribute your bonus attribute points, but is there any way to reset your skill tree too? Does that button do both?

The game has some balance problems. Using myself as a fighter with belittle, the archer with smoke powder, and the two mages with the frost debuff, I can have the enemies' damage output reduced by 70% 3 out of 6 turns, and 120% (everything is blocked) the other 3. Using this strategy, even on legendary almost every single encounter I faced, even the final boss, was quite easy. The only hard enemies were the lava golems, but good use of frost spells allowed me to win anyway! I'm not sure whether this was intentional or not, but it really made the game way too easy.

great game. Only thing I'd like to see change is the value for arms and armor...they are too complex! It became a real pain trying to do values in my head for armor, damage, and special abilities like penetration, burning, bleeding, poison, healing, stamina, etc. Enough! What you should do is make them more fixed and have classes of armor, weapons, etc that tells me which is better than others. Like start with ordinary, magic, rare, then legendary, and do not let any from one class be more powerful then the class above. Would make it a lot easier to keep track of. Other than that I really liked it.

I believe that this game, like certain others, make a category of thier own, having been made by developers who just want to make good, fun games. 5/5

This is a fun game (one of the most polished games I've seen on Kongregate!), but the inventory management system is a nightmare. It's a prominent blight on an otherwise superbly executed concept.

I loved the first game and am really enjoying the second one. I was glad to see it come out and am having lots and lots of fun playing it. Hope the next one is as good as these two.
