Disregard my previous comment, apparently the creator updated the game while I was playing it. Reloaded the game and breezed through the final battle. Much better

wow... this is a really well done game. And you seem to pay close attention to your fans here and implement all the changes that people want sooooooo..... i really think this game could use more naked women walking around.... and a pizza delivery button. Alright, let's see if this works. :D

I just changed from one character to another once I realized I'd have a warrior class guy with me, and Rogan is referring to me by the old char's name.

I reached the final battle and after about 25 tries, I gave up. They're resistant to any status effects. I think I managed to stun one of them once. Earthquake is far too overpowered, especially if you give it to both of them.

Sidenote for my post earlier: i kept trying and (after 30-35 tries or so) completed the endfight. I barely finished it and was pretty lucky so here's a pointer for warrior classes; make sure both Rogan and your own char have at least 1 Stun ability (2 would be better though). First try to stun Blaek and make sure he stays stunned while you kill him as fast as you can. If you have to fight them both at once you're a dead man so keep him stunned. Make sure you have a lot of health potions (you'll need 'em). Once Blaek is down, just keep consuming those health potions 'cuz Gazzar can do some serious damage with his spells. Once his mana runs out he's basically defenseless and he'll be easy to finish off.

It would be nice if items that you have equipped didn't show up in your inventory; or at least have an option to filter out equipped items so they aren't accidentally sold, and don't generally clutter up the inventory

So, you commented that "all monsters auto-level with you so grinding wont be of much help, you'll just be fighting enemies with more abilities!", I dont think we should be "punished" for grinding, we used our time to train and get better not to have more problems.

It would be good if you could see the currently equipped weapons´ or armors´ stats if you hover your mouse over an item for the same slot to allow for direct comparison.

Developer response from violatorgames: "Just FYI, all monsters auto-level with you so grinding wont be of much help." Stopped playing when I read this.

Wish there was a way to quickly and easily compare equipped items versus items to be bought or in inventory. Other than that, spectacular game!

Few things, you have hotkeys for character, skills, inventory, journal, but they only show the screen, they do not toggle the screen off when you are done. Escape also does not do this, we still have to actually click on the X which I always find very annoying in a game. Perhaps allow toggling of the panes with your hotkeys and/or allow escape to toggle the panes off. Good game :)

There needs to be an item comparison so that when you are looking at a merchant item it will show your current item and + - on the stats it would affect.

"By popular demand, 1. RESPAWNING ENEMIES, 2. ROGUE BUFFS/CHANGES, 3. SHOP/INVENTORY IMPROVEMENTS, 4. MORE BALANCING..."
REALLY needs a restat option. I'm a level 10 warrior class with primarily passive buffs and multiple hit/heavy damage attacks. Cut like a knife through butter the whole game, now i'm at the final fight and can't get past it because i got the wrong build.. Already tried 20 times but those b*st*rds keep stunning and hitting me with heavy mag attacks so i can only attack 2 times at the beginning of the fight. In other words: i'm stuck like a brick.
Please keep this post alive so others don't waste their time making the same build mistake as me.

Don't listen to the people who say that the Rogue isn't very good. I just beat the game (awesome game btw) with the Rogue. I felt like the Rogue was almost too good, he blocked a ton, and had some incredible skills
Last before bed: Due to time/work constraints it just wasn't possible to have every item be available in every color/gender. This is definitely high on my to-do list for future LOTV's, in fact I have 1 female character with armor already completed. Skin color will be a pretty straight forward addition but just a lot of work and a much larger game (+5-10MBs).

It is not true that rogues suck!! You just have to choose the right skills. I have played as a warrior at the first time and he was useless. For the second time I chose rogue and it was much better. In combat I use Martial arts in the first turn and then with a Gut and Blade Furry skills rogue become killing machine. I would say that Assassin skills are very good to play with. Plus rogue has high agility and often blocks enemy attacks.

Found an interesting glitch. Used Stun to kill two enemies to win the battle. The literal 0 HP enemy mage hit me with Swarm Lord right before the battle ended, but he was still standing.
Thanks for reporting this... yes, enemies hit from AOE that weren't targeted directly MAY NOT DIE. I will work on this first thing when I wake up in a few hours.
Just googled "fury of a thousand suns" and did not find anything specific you may be referring to. If it's from something else than it was subconsciously stolen :P

@drexelast This game came out YESTERDAY. You must really be bossy or demanding to want him to change all this in THE FIRST DAY. Give some time and the game will change. Patience is a virtue.

"EDIT2: Just FYI, all monsters auto-level with you so grinding wont be of much help, you'll just be fighting enemies with more abilities! (edit2 made at 80 upvotes)"
this is not sounds good.
if it is like this, then where is the meaning of my leveling up and get better equipments?it from a relax thing, now become a race with death, because of since of the enemies always level up with me,and harder and harder to deal with,i have to constantly buy new equipments to ensure in the race i will not defeated by them.
you should change it.
I don't know if I agree. It seems most modern games take the auto-level approach, otherwise a player may unknowingly level up a bit too much and suddenly the game becomes a piece of cake with no challenge at all since you're way above your enemies in skill. Please, lets take this discussion to my shout area so we can keep it all together :)

I would like a little sub-menu that compares the item you are looking at with what you have equipped. It's not a huge deal, but it's an obvious annoyance sometimes.

few things, when u sell the junk to vendor its anoying that the things u sell gets in his list so I gotta look through them 2, better if u make a special list like buy back.
Another thing is I woud like to c how much + skill points I have on my stats from the gear I use.

Uggghh! I keep losing the first fight. I've reset the game like 50 times and that mage still kills me. This game is impossible!
I'll come up with a solution to this soon, for now you can try exiting the game and re-loading your character to get your potions back at the beginning of that area.

- Bug with "Wind Training": I selected it on my rogue and stamina increased only by 4 (which I presume is due to level up). I can't check other passive skills but you should.
- The insta-kill skills are very nice but useless on elite+ opponents. For the massive stamina cost the critical is not enough in regards to other skills you can use. They could maybe do % of total monster's hp of damage? (50% for yellow monsters, 25% for red or something).
- The equal level enemies should recieve different damage from my skills when they are of different type (like wizard, guard, assassin). My magic should easily damage heavy armored guys and be less effective against enemy wizards and vice versa for my warrior attacks.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
- The skills that buff your damage (like 20% to attack, damage, critical) are mostly ineffective. Why spend a turn casting it and then do 20% more damage (on average, they're all the same) for 3-4 turns, when you can attack 1 extra time and you'd deal on average more damage (and also spend less stamina). So either make them stronger (like 40-60%), last longer (at least 6 turns) and/or you can also attack on the same turn you use them.
- The ones that affect opponent and have effect on them should be 100% (in terms of delivery, not resist). For example the strike with bleed effect should also make opponent do so unless he resists, there shouldn't be 30% to actually hit him with bleed effect AND he can also resist it. If it already works this way then disregard (though resistances are then through the roof). Just lower the initial damage otherwise.
At this point in development neither of those things will be able to be added to LOTV ch1. Sorry, I want to but it would be a major overhaul of a lot of code, notice how there are no "empty handed" enemies? I'll definitely work them into a future game though.

Great game. For the weapons shop, a "sort by class" option would be nice, to make it easier to figure out what's the best stuff for each character.
