If you don't have an army and you only want to fight someone one on one face a wall and turn to face and enemy as he comes from behind you. It also stops archers from hitting you. it's a great way to avoid losing health to a sneaky bastard you're not fighting. :)

How to get easy archievement in no time? Start the game and immediately go and "try" to capture the capital. Worked on me just fine!

If anyone is having trouble with shogun ghosts, get some stalkers from the south desert. These guys have a high dodge rate and can kill some shogun ghosts before they even get close. Added to the fact that they have very little defense, makes them perfect against the skill of the shogun ghosts.

Easy and cheap way to get +10 weapons: Save the game, Refine the weapon to Refine Level 10 in one shot. If it fails, reload and retry. If it succeeds, congrats, you have a +10 weapon in a short time, without losing any weapons, or wasting money. Now you can use the money saved on new soldiers.

Ugh... Tried to take over the South Desert capital- made it past the first fight, but I didn't know there was a second. I would've taken over the capital otherwise.... Honestly, I owe it to the health potions. I don't know where I would be without them.... probably on the first level.
Still... Why was there a second fight? And why did I know about it?

Greek fire doesn't kill your own troops on this one. Get it to +10 and use the occult rune and you effectively have a nuke for a weapon. towards the end you don't even need an army to take out capital cities. You do have to take off your armor for the ninjas, but it makes the game a piece of cake.

To beat the "annoying ninja town": just raise dex to 100, const to 50, remove your armor, buy health potions and get a decent weapon... thats it, just keep trying to hit them and youll envatually succeed!

How the hell do you beat the far east empire champion?! He has a flame attack that one hit kills me always. Its basically a case of hope he doesnt use it and keep hitting him. Sometimes he uses it as his first attack killing me outright. This works in both full armor or no armor at all.

Okay after some frustration I found the easiest way to beat every single champion and nation in this game no matter who you play is very simple. Buy greek fire as someone said before in Ceasarea. Max it to level 10 and put on armor piercing enchant... not the one that reduces damage but regular full ignore armor. Just watch your health and hold down space bar you will dominate everything. I never took my armor off at all for anything, Just get the best defense guys you can till you take over oriental then make an army of Ghost samurai. When you fight champions choose army and its easy. I did this as the forest guys so I had buffs to 2handers maxed and the hp aura buff.

Last note - Try to get +10 on your weapon. I find myself doing 2-3k damage by crits. I just bought a ton of replicas of the original weapon. Then kept clicking to forge straight to level 10. Then kept repeating, and breaking weapons until I got one by chance. The extra damage is a god-send.

The second problem will most definitely be fighting the leader himself. Just go very, very low defense again (I still recommend 3 defense. Or for the sake of lols and utter defense against the assassination skill. Just go naked). You'll be able to survive the hit + you'll be spamming potions and abilities in hopes to hit the annoying sob. Max dexterity + max weapon skill + spamming abilities worked for me in a duel.

Tested something against the ninjas and found an effective strategy. Max out your dexterity, and max out your weapon skill. Then, before you assault Nagoya. Go buy the weakest armor at Nara (Dont complain about the 3 defense. You're tanking for the units I'll suggest). Be sure you have conquered The Black Horde first. And go to their capital, then spam 30 Creepy Archers as your main force. They will deal with ninjas like chop-suey. Now get to the front-lines and tank for your horsies!
When you get to the second-battle for Nagoya. This is where things are difficult. Because your horsies cant do crap against the Shogun Ghosts. So, spam potions (I recommend 500-700+ Large Potions) and spam your abilities in hopes that they hit. Your horsies might take down a few. But you'll have to deal wit the vast majority of them.
This is how I've dealt with that annoying issue. If you guys find more, please post for people to deal with it and get the achievement.

Not cool :-( I'm at max level, but the ninjas can insta-kill me from full health and from many squares away. There's no dodging and I can't get more HP.

Well, i changed my rating to one star. I loved this game until it wouldnt save anything. I lost my empire in five minutes because it didnt save my stuff.

I think that when you succefully upgrade a weapon, there should be an increased chance of succefully upgrading again, or the weapons should not be destroyed when you unsuccessfully them.

After I conquered a city, I got a quest in it. The soldier called me "wanderer", as if he didn't know who I was. I think he should have called me "Master" or something like that.

When the most fun I had in the game was using the ninjas jump katana attack on horses (found this mildly amusing esp when he got surrounded and hopped in circles, same with kick looking like a dance o_O) then somethings clearly wrong >_>.
Not sure why this got badges, but then a tonne of very medicore ones (Red Hood, Papas games) do frequently -.-

lol you have to enchant weapons one enchantment at a time because if you try to skip to ten its like a 15% chance for succes

am I missing something or is there some trick to get a weapon enchanted to level 10? I have been trying the same weapon and Im up to 58 failures.

all you need for hard badge is to start off as the dude in far eastern empire. he has an ability for instant-killing so you can just use that in town champ duels
