"Sire! This our is already ours! We can't kill our own people for nothing!" Is getting charged to rent a boat nothing?

"I found and equipped a “Mysterious” Leather armor which had the following description (only shown from within the inventory):
“Increases hit chance by 100%, critical strike change by 90% and damage by 0-1000, but sets defence and dodge chance to 0 and decreases HP by 80%”. Since this description wasn’t shown when buying/selling items, i did not expect these crap weapons etc. to do me any good.
It was enough to just wear the item in order to recieve the badge, no need to go to battle.
Hope this can help other people trying to achieve the badge."
posted by Re3x on the forums, thought it might help other noobs like me here for the badges.

fun game haven't played it in years. Having trouble with the 500 dmg achievement is the best thing to do to get dexterity and use the throwing stars?

For fast domination for all faction, just try to go to ichego village as fast as possible...for easy win that doesn't require unit just buy a crap ton on of healing potions and stand in a corner so that the ninjas can't attack you though you need to be patient for the fight as the black samurais can dodge your attack 9/10 times...just can't get that 500 damage still

Take Wanderburg, buy enough Crusaders to fill your 1st line, 2nd line, and reserves; sit back and enjoy your complete domination.

Dev knows the 500 damage is too high and never corrected it. You need to get blue items and combine them into 500 minimum, not deal 500 damage. Other than that it's kinda fun but mechanism is flawed like hell. You attack a poor village and have riders with golden maces coming at ya. No "sell all", "buy 10" etc. Many, many flaws that could be easily corrected.

Far East Empire is by far the most OP, main character wise. All you have to worry about for stats are Dex, Far East Weapons, Int, Patriotism, and Art of War. With the other factions, you don't really have to worry about Dex or Far East Weapons, but you have the swords, axes, bows, crossbows, etc. The only thing that keep you grounded in the Far East is that you're stuck on an island at the beginning.

If you run into a city that wants you dead and are unable to conquer it, you can just click on any of the buildings instead of the fight button, making it so you can just leave. Helpful if you haven't saved.

To get the medium badge, all you have to do is upgrade your max damage to above 500. You do not need to actually deal any damage at all.

Why the hell does this game autosave when you run into an enemy town, thus forcing you to win the fight or start over?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
when you try to conquer your own town "Sire! This town is already ours! We can't kill our own people for nothing!""...hmm Okay

Now I have 63,855 HP with -40% hit chance. Could not find an armor with the 200%+ hitpoint enchantment or I would have been able to get around 180,000 HP

And you know, there must be a point where "bandits" become "Crusaders against the terrorising invaders" Also, thanks for that japan tip, them 5k units are epic.

Woops, to get the damage I needed I made my character go blind! But still gave me the badge even with -35% hit rate!! xD

If you want the badge but get bored after a few battles, just pick Japanese from the beginning, and max out patriotism and art of war, along with Intelligence. Your ninjas (5k gold each) will be able to one shot pretty much anyone so you can just sit back and do nothing during the entire game

I have honestly no idea how I got the medium badge exactly. It doesn't seem tu actually update when I deal damage with a hit, because I got if after equipping an item with the "crushing" attribute which was said to increase damage by 100-300, and on leaving the town with no fight or anything I suddenly got the badge. I'm not complaining since this took long enough and was already boring me. A lot. But it's still weird.

@thelordslime Obviously you aren't conquering any cities without any troops, I bet you won't survive a capital fight alone. Maybe if you had like a few hundred heal scrolls or such, but that'd be tedious and take a lot of time. Just do yourself a favor and buy some!

Hard badge: Start out as Sieg (Far East Empire) and at first focus on Dexterity, Constitution and Far East Weapons. Do rogue quests and sell the loot for gold. Conquer Kozuke, Matsuyama, Izumo, Nagoya and Echigo in that order. Make sure you've got plenty of troops before conquering a city; around 50 of the best melee fighter you can buy should do it. Once you've captured Echigo, buy a bunch of their Black Samurai. Around 20-30 should be sufficient. These units are the strongest in the game and only Wanderburg and Alexandria should cost you a few units. From the moment you conquer Echigo, first max out Patriotism (for which you need Intelligence too), then Art of War and put any skill points left in Intelligence. Proceed to conquer every city with ease.

Protip for medium badge: keep an eye out for enchanted equipment (those ones with blue background). Some of them increase damage by 100 or so. Badge counts the damage you CAN deal, not the damage you have dealt. To track how much damage you can do, open inventory and hover your mouse to the character. [+] to keep it alive!
