Lol man the holy order's troops are so op.Like,first they have crossbowmen,then master bowmen,then knifethrowers and mounted knifethrowers,and then inquisitors(the strongest unit EVER!!!)I'm damn impressed lol.Finished the game with lv 44 and a whole army of inquisitors(they're basically like mounted master knifethrowers.)These are their stats:Actually.No.U know what?I aint gonna spoil it for ya.Go figure it out urself once u unlock them,and then see just how op they are(even WITHOUT intelligence,art of war,and patriotism,these are still,in my opinion,the best units in the game)

Nice to know only NPC archers can aim their shots, while you need to shoot in a straight line! Must've looked so impressive to my troops when I kept shooting at a tree in front of me

Man, I played this game for AGES as a kid. Would take over the area, starting as a different person on each go-through. Saving Carthage for last this time - Cartago delenda est.

I never seen that non-hirable unit, like Black Shuriken Throwers in this game. How to get that unit? and btw, good game!

OH, and I agree with the other player, I should not have to pay the same price to use boats from my own city as I would from a city I do not own.

Great potential in this game, however it falls short for very many reasons. First, in Fire fox at least, I cannot switch between weapons at all. Lost 3 stars for that. Additionally, having to recruit a single soldier per click 50 times is mind bogglingly monotonous... lost 3 stars for not putting the shift + click function in or something like when selling weapons where I click on soldier type once, and then choose quantity to purchase. Total of -1 star at this point simply because game play is such a pain in the ***. HOWEVER, I really like where you are going with this game. I could see the development of real quests and perhaps a deep story line in the future versions. So, I gave it a single star.

the medium badge is just luck... you need to get blue equipment that raises your damage.
and the hard badge: its too easy after understanding how to become stronger.

Just spam delivery quests and save up gold, then buy the best troops from the barracks and attack, you don't even have to do anything yourself except you can rage/heal them if you want. Keep doing this until you can fight harder and harder cities, and upgrade intelligence and the bottom two things (something and patriotism) to buff your army. For the medium badge, just equip something with the "Mysterious __ of Death" modifier on it (as gun3241 stated).

There is a "Mysterious xx of death" modifier that makes your damage 0-1000 just from equipping the item, makes the medium badge (and the rest of the game) a breeze

Quick tip for the 500 max damage in one hit, use something with high accuracy, and get 4 items that all have the "Rage" modifier.

There I was, with the best armor and the best horse, completely unkillable, and I had the shittiest sword ever. All combats take almost half an hour, so I decided to write a comment in my free-time.

Walked around aimlessly collecting money until all of my troops were dead, conquered the first trade city by myself and a pocket of potions, ruled map with an iron fist and hundreds of thousands of gold. Would play again!

Spoilers: if you want an easy way to win the whole game, be a ninja and fight your way to Echigo. The black samurai are the most op units in the game and you'd need only 15 to win

"I found and equipped a “Mysterious” Leather armor which had the following description (only shown from within the inventory):
“Increases hit chance by 100%, critical strike change by 90% and damage by 0-1000, but sets defence and dodge chance to 0 and decreases HP by 80%”. Since this description wasn’t shown when buying/selling items, i did not expect these crap weapons etc. to do me any good.
It was enough to just wear the item in order to recieve the badge, no need to go to battle.
Hope this can help other people trying to achieve the badge."

fun game haven't played it in years. Having trouble with the 500 dmg achievement is the best thing to do to get dexterity and use the throwing stars?

For fast domination for all faction, just try to go to ichego village as fast as possible...for easy win that doesn't require unit just buy a crap ton on of healing potions and stand in a corner so that the ninjas can't attack you though you need to be patient for the fight as the black samurais can dodge your attack 9/10 times...just can't get that 500 damage still
