Under rating threshold (show) There's several interesting things here, but many little annoyances. At first I hated the push key faster = move faster, but then it started growing on me because I, the player, could make my character work harder by working harder myself. That said, ow my fingers. At first, leveling up seems pointless, until I could finally afford a better pickaxe only to be told to come back at level six. I also didn't like the "you swing valiantly at the rock, but fail; try again" message. It made me feel as though the pickaxe I'd just purchased was very tenuously useful. If as you level up the odds of succeeding increase, I'll forgive you (I only got to level 7 before my hand hurt too much). However, there should be a sound or visual effect for when you swing to no avail, to let the player know that they're doing something. All in all, decent. Mildly addictive. 3/5

Under rating threshold (show) How about another option in the inventory menu for "just drop" so the item is left where I was standing and will be picked up the next time I stand there. That'd let me hoard a bunch of gold and gems in a special section of the mine.

Currently not possible, sorry. Will add storage at some point. Some special storage room you can build in the mine maybe ... Sorry, but atm technically not possible.

Under rating threshold (show) for the pick to mine the magma, something like having to collect 5 or 6 of the "strange stones" and enchant your mythril pick. or maybe collect the scatterd the pieces of an ancient magical dwarven pick and put them back together.

Under rating threshold (show) A minimap to see where the nearest shop is so I dont end up walking farther than I have to or search for any forgotten/missed ores. I dont think the ore part is nessecary but to find the shops would be great.

Under rating threshold (show) I give it a solid 3/5 right now. It's a bit too simple. It felt more like I was just strip mining everything. Many things could be done to improve it, depending on what you are shooting for. Adding skills (mining, appraising, haggling, carpentry) you can gain when you level would be great. Having items like backpacks, torches, lamps, food might be nice. I was hoping when I first started that I would have to dig down and shore up tunnels and head towards veins of ore or gems, instead it was just strip mine everything and don't run out of wood. I wanted things to collapse on tunnels that haven't been shored up! I also agree about walking faster when not mining! All said, it's a great start and I'd love to see more! Keep it up!

Under rating threshold (show) Over all, a great game. Things it could use to be better, in my opinion: Stats! Something to level up! More walking speed (by this I mean, covering 2-3-4 tiles per step instead of one without a mineral block), better chance of block break, more inv stacking. A vault! A place to visibly hoard your shinies, maybe with an upgradeable graphic. Some sort of farm would also be nice, but not entirely practical.

Yes, I'm trying to think of a way to do this. Just blowing up your your mine would be iilogical i think, though... although it would look nice ;) but... why should it reset the ores? The only way I can think of is an option "move to a new mine/land". The problem would be that I can't save the old mine, it would be lost O.o.. and I would need way more shopkeeper names ^^

Under rating threshold (show) same game is abit odd, for one thing. If ya reload it you are placed back at first shop, while there are several of the same locations scattered throughout the entire region. Work in progress ehh? well ill be back to check in and provide opinions on progress. As of now, N/A ranking

It's "César-Auguste-Jean-Guillaume-Hubert Franck - Sonata for Cello and Piano - IV. Allegretto poco mosso" performed by Paul Pitman, in the public domain ^^ As Paul Pitman is a piano player, I suppose he played the piano. He is listed as performer on musopen, they don't say who played the cello.

Under rating threshold (show) As others said, yes it definitely needs more. Currently the only strategy is dig, find rock you can't dig through, go further to the side, move more over, find some ore, return when backpack is full or when out of wood. I don't know if mobs would fit quite yet, but yeah, lava/water pits would be cool. Some more explanation, and knowing quite what leveling up does would be nice (If it does anything). Maybe the ability to hire workers to lower cost of wood, or construct buildings that would generate money or wood over time, like a lumber mill or a bank. I don't think it would have to be anything complicated. Maybe at higher levels you could take one space without wood and it wouldn't cave in. Just some suggestions, right now I'd give it a 3/5. With some additions it could be great.

Yes, I've noticed that and dislike that myself. With the next update though, the real fun will begin. You'll be able to decorate your mine and place furniture, carpets, tables, doors, living rooms, bed rooms.. etc..etc... everything you can imagine (submissions/suggestions most welcome) I hope that will fix this issue - at least a little ^^

Under rating threshold (show) If your planning on doing elevators or carts, instead of buying it at a little store, why not traders come along with a recipe to build it, Items to build it etc etc? Btw, I agree with illucoran, Mobs, Magma, Why not underwater lakes? Why not, depending on the weather, it affects how you play?

Are you sure there aren't any blocks of the light brown soil left? There should be thousands! Another thing is, you can mine without wood, it's just not suggested... Regarding the cave-in: The world isn't flat. There is still soil in front of you and behind you. I still makes a lot of sense.

Under rating threshold (show) Since this game looks king of like motherload you can consider adding artifacts which are rare but cost more. Make them foundable anywhere because to save for a first pick axe you have to play for at least an hour.

Under rating threshold (show) Has a lot of potential but at this stage its barely a 2. First you need a menu where you can mute or reset in case you get stuck. Also the game is very unbalanced, I've been playing for more than 20 minutes and barely have money to buy wood, not even talking about buying a pickaxe to dig deeper. At this point the game is VERY repetitive (which can be fine) and you dont feel any sense of accomplishment. Also speeding up the game would be fine, as you dig deeper or further, the amount of walking increases, so I do 1 minute of digging and 2 minutes of walking, very annoying. Fix/add those things and this came could be a 4.

Hey, I made the lower levels quicker by increasing rates of coal and iron. Also i added 7(!) more shops along the surface to avoid walking too much. Hope that helps. Thank you for your comments! I will add more features once I find the time. ^^

Dou you want an autopilot so you can just watch the game play itself? ^^ Sorry, seriously though, I *have* been thinking about transportation but only if you really earn it and work hard - very - hard for the money to buy an elevator or cart.. They'll be expensive. ;)

Under rating threshold (show) I'm afraid I can only give the game a 2 ("basic functionality" on my scale) in its present form. Simply putting it’s boring. I got to the steel pickaxe and then quit due to lack of interest. There is no overarching goal and no challenge, no strategy and it lacks the charm of Farm of Souls and other “unending” games. Here are some random ideas: consider adding some threats (magma pockets? mobs?); make the player consider their resources, how about different areas require different amounts/types of wood so the players need to think if they want to spend more on a chance of getting more; some way to return to the shop or move around faster (elevators? carts?) going back for 3 minutes is a pain. Technical stuff: the tune is nice but gets very tiring after a while, how about a mute button? It's possible to step outside the playing field (at least to the left) and for me the shop was either extremely unresponsive or caused some horrible lag, this last thing may be machine specific.
