I hate it when I know the answer, but I can't reach the right letters. Does anyone else ever have this problem? Or is it just me?

This game is incredible. Unity is really going to completely revolutionize flash gaming as we know it. Which means it'll finally be on par with a PS1 or Nintendo 64, I suppose. Rejoice!(?)

Cool game! I love the visual style! Nicely done! The music fits very well too! I confess I didn't understand why I was losing. I found if I stood on a letter and pressed Up and Left/Right at the same time, I could submit a letter and avoid falling. I did this a bunch and but it would randomly just end the game. I played 3 times and it never became clear to me. Anyway, this is a very creative idea and the implementation is awesome! It's great to meet a fellow Unity Developer!

This is great! I have one question though. Sometimes, I will be pushing some blocks and they will stop moving. So I will stop pushing them. When I start pushing again, they will react to my movements very explosively. They will go in the direction they're supposed to, but not with the speed they're supposed to. Is that supposed to happen?
Thanks for the feedback! This behavior is due to the shape of the colliders I used in Langman. I've fixed it in the new iteration of the hangman/platforming concept I just published: kongregate.com/games/vonLeheCreative/plangman

Unity - It's going to replace our game consoles, free video games. Unity is the beginning of a new revolution of games :D

1.) Controls need work. I don't know how many times I died because I couldn't step off one block onto a half-width block below it, and instead went hurtling past it down into the abyss.
2.) re: guysmiley's comment: I didn't find it a terrible oversight that different blocks behave differently based on the (random) word. At first I was like, "This is totally bullshit," but then I modified my strategies to, for instance, leave certain blocks un-guessed at first, so I could still jump on them. It makes every playthrough of a level a little different, which is way more variety than you find in most games. I ended up really liking this facet.
3.) A map would be nice, perhaps accessed by the M key. Even if you want players to have to explore the levels themselves, you could implement a map of the places they've already been, hopefully including the current placement of blocks.
4.) Seriously, change the directional controls so you can make small steps/jumps. That was bullcrap.

NOOO! I have to download to play but I'm not allowed to download D= The comments saying it is so awesome makes me feel left out D'X

the last few levels is really challenging! a wrong step and you have to restart again. better plan carefully before you activate the blocks

Its a surprisingly good game for a unity game, but it couldve been made as 2D as well. And there's a lot better 2D flash games out there than this, but at least the idea is fresh. I would rate it a 3.5 if that was possible but as it isn't I'll just refrain from rating.
And its not necessarily any more difficult for foreigners than english people, decent knowledge in english will be enough to help you guess what letters could, in the regular english grammar, fit where. Here in Finland the words have noticeably more vowels than consonants in them and a working way to start is to first take down vowels in the alphabetical order till there seem to be enough of them, but that works decently here as well.

Awesome! Some levels suck though, Cause the falling blocks end up being stuck on the ones below them, Causing some levels to be unbeatable T_T Resetting 5 times, still stuck. 4/5 For awesome graphics and gameplay. Ah, but i should just be more careful with falling blocks. 5/5 is your endscore, sir <3

In the last level you need a lot of patience, cause the letters are hidden throughout the level, "e" "g" and "o"" are the toughest letters to find

on a few levels, the problem wasn't figuring out the word. it was getting to the letter! great game! 4.5/5 for difficulty

Thanks, @UITimaWeapon. Update: I moved the bomb on the second level to the left side of the level, where it's more likely to be seen.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@greenfuzzey - In those situations, you can use a bomb to blow up the block that's in the way. Was this unclear? Or had you simply used up all your bombs?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Smeltis: I'm not sure I understand. Did you try using a bomb to blow up the block? You can find the first bomb to the far right in level two.

Updates: 1) Three new levels. 2) Progress saving. 3) "Reset" and "Game Over" no longer cause you to lose guesses. I hope these updates make the game more enjoyable.

I love this game, and I would have given it 5/5 if it weren't for the fact that blocks get stuck or randomly kicked instead of pushed so that I have to restart the level because I just lost the only way to get the letters I need.

The game is good, but the level editor is the worst ever.
Nice music, animation could be better... An average game, 3/5.

5/5 and downloading unity thingy for this game was worth it! Love how you created the levels for the letters, and how they drop..love it all! GREAT JOB!

While the concept did not seem cool at first, this game is very cool. love the music, and appreciate the fact that it works with an xbox controller (intentional or not)

Also, did you make this for a class of some sort? Because some of these terms sound like they would be used in a project for maybe a computer science course "Cathode Ray Tube" "Central Processing Unit", "Monophonic Sound" Ect....?

Over the weekend I made some performance improvements. Hopefully this should take care of the lag and framerate glitches some folks were experiencing.

I've added a couple new features:
You can now skip levels you have previously beaten by pressing L (however, it's not retroactive).
I've also hidden three bombs throughout the game, starting at level five. Bombs destroy blocks or fallen letters, and can be used to clear a path to a letter you need if you happen to have dropped something on top of it. Bombs can also be used to take shortcuts through puzzles.
Please let me know what you think of these new features.
