There are a lot of annoying aspects to this game - how the sorcerers can zap you with lightning before you can even see them, how certain enemies seem to pace between two squares until you move, how the grid style movement is awkward, etc... - but in the end it's a pretty fun game. Being able to replay levels would be a big improvement. I'm somewhat annoyed that I didn't get to read the last notebook page as I got too close to the end-of-game trigger before I could touch it. Anyways, it was enjoyable and the difficulty was spot on for a casual game. 4/5

@captaincoolguy Sometimes enemies kill themselves. Such as when two archers face each other and fire,killing each other.

This game is really great, but fun is definitely reduced by being instantly killed by a sorcerer that's out of screen and having to redo the whole level. Perhaps save points, at least at later levels would be great.

also, the game is ridiculously easy, needs either harder to upgrade skills, tougher monsters, OR more content, i mean really, i killed the 2nd boss in what? 2-3 hits because my shot gun was maxed as well as a few other skills? the first boss was only hard because i was stupid and lvld all the pointless skills for that boss *cough smite cough* i kill even the toughest normal monsters in 2 shots and with the shot gun upgrades to max thats like 1 second and they are dead, i mean really the reload time is so un natural, you can really shoot a shotgun repeatedly like that? no, you cant, its only one upgrade away from a machine gun i mean come on!

im rather pissed with the ending, i got to the final boss and i wanted 100% completion so i thought there might be stuff behind the secret door, so i waited on killing the boss and i walked in the door, it didnt even let me pick up the diary page it just walked me to the cheerleader and it was game over and i have to restart the FKING GAME to get to that part again, youre kidding me right? its a fun game and all but just out of the annoyance of that i say fk it, not worth going through all that again.

@samuelpismel its rather obvious why he likes brains, he ran out of food so he ate slugs, he ran out of slugs so he was forced to eat zombies, and since he ate zombies he gained a taste for brains and such, and he got corrupted BECAUSE of this taste plus really...when you are offered to rule an army of monsters.....youd reallly say no :D? lol

what's the point with having a final boss, if u can just get pass him, open the secret wall, save the cheerleader and beat the game?

Well well, fun and cool game but
When you finish the game killing the last boss, and you try to make your last upgrades with the last coins, the plugin flash crash.
If you try to catch the last note near the cheerleader, the ending starts and you failed retriving all the note ... so 2 achivments you canot have

every1 who has trouble finding places where walls open try and find the wall that looks out of place on later lvls it gets more subtle

Excelent little game, this is as close as any of us will get to being as cool as Ash or indeed Bruce Cambell. I hope I eat my GF's brains when I win.

Fun game. Let me just say that this is a fun, clever game with great design.
But %%@!%($$!## those insta-deaths are annoying when one has to start all the way over from the beginning of a level, collecting all those $%@$!@!# coins, notes, etc.

I'd love the ability to save during a level. Maybe I should be better at the game, but having to completely restart the level each time I die is starting to ruin it for me. Even if there was just one checkpoint I'd be a happy girl.

OK, I found the glitch (or is it meant to be this way?), it is that shooting towers or whatever, can shoot and kill your enemies, giving you a kill. the next level, I got 4 kills because of this, and either you'll have to delete that achievement, or fix/delete that towers can shoot their allies ...

@Fe: the shoes have a tip that has a different color, you can notice that if you look closely when facing either left or right.

Really good game, but on my second game I tried doing it without a kill, to get that achievement, and on the first lvl with hidden doors and ghosts etc. I get one even tho I know I haven't fired the gun nor upgraded the smite spell :( Ruins the whole try, just because of some ... glitch? or maybe the ghosts die from touching you 10 times or something? If this can be fixed, then PLEASE do it! if there is a hard badge with all achievements or something, I'd hate it even more ...

For demons: Fully upgraded shotugn and fully upgraded smite can one hit them. Shoot with the shotgun first then press smite - there's no cooldown between the two.

I don't understand how you're supposed to fight demons, they're tough enough that a fully maxed shot from the shotgun or smite doesn't kill them but they're fast enough that in the time you take to attack them they can get a hit in...

"On a side note, I'm loosing it! I thought I saw a zombie!" Noooo, the dreaded loose/lose swap! My major pet peeve and only weakness! It is a good thing the game rocks awesome with its arcade style WITH upgrades AND achievements or I might ~lose~ my mind!

The demons are INSANE! 2 hits from them and I'm dead on full life and it takes 2 hits with smite to kill them. When you smite, you stop for a second which is plenty of time for them to catch you and attack you. Am I missing something with the demons?
