in the level that teaches you to press R to restart, i thought it was like 'the company of myself' and you had to leave a gold statue of yourself to stand on

King Midas was King of Crete and Mycenaean people. The people were attacked by Sparta and migrated to an Island called Cyprus. Cyprus means copper in ancient Greek.

im greek and im proud tat this game exists.
it comes from our mythology. Μύδας was a king, as described my Ηρόδοτος
and whatever he touched turned into gold. he became the king because it was his destiny. He was famous for his wealth and his fame.
SO, when he realised that he had this power, a first he was really happy, but then, he noticed that he couldn't even eat food because it turned into gold.
SO, he begged god Διόνυσος to take away his power.
SO, he touched the river Πακτωλός and went back to normal(water blocks in game), but the rivers absorbed the gold and became full with it.
before that, he accidentally touched his DAUGHTER, and she turned into gold(golden girl at credits level).
I hope u liked this myth!

sadly the real story of king midas is that he wished that anything he touched would turn to gold so he could forever be rich, then when he touched his wife as a kiss she turned to gold and he learned the valuable lesson "careful whatcha wish for!"

I love and hate that if you try to play again. I love how it's a metaphor for you can't do things over again. I hate it because I want to play again. ):

I really like the concept, but I didn't get connected to the story. It came off as a little too artsy-for-the-sake-of-being-artsy to me.

Seriously if you give me a level on the credits I'm going to waste several minutes trying it until I rage quit, even if I already know it's impossible.

After you've beaten the game to the credit, press M/ESC to go back to level select, and if you press space-bar, you'll be brought back to the credit again.
