Great fun. You need to work on your game balance, though. Certain combinations of weapons/powerups give crazy advantages. Example: Desert Eagle + Bloodbath makes killing weak enemies really lucrative.

This game is really fun, but ends up being very easy (at least, on defence mode). It's difficult for the first few levels, until you get a machine gun (this is what I got).
The SCAR makes the game far too easy, as the gun does lots of damage, and reloads really fast. Is it supposed to only have a 0.4 second reload time?
Also, since there's so much blood on the ground later on, it gets really hard to see the red coloured enemies, and the constant shaking from gunfire doesn't make it any easier.

The overkill + laser cannon combo is slightly overpowered :) (i have over 400.000 xp on my current save and nothing to spend it on (have tons of hp etc allready).. booriiing....

this is my favourite gane on this i really love the idea and even though it can be easy seeing zombies splat EVERYWHERE is pretty damn cool!!!

I don't know what everyone is talking about w/this game being too easy. I can't get past the 6th level without dying, no matter what weapon combo I use.

Very Fun ... but ... The firsts levels will be a little hard, after you get the taurus it will be easier, and after the laser cannons, when you can buy everything ... and powerup the Base and the health ... how can I say ... a piece of cake ... and also it will get boredom ... cause it seems to be imposible to loose ..
1) magnums - S&W .357
1*) Intermediate if needed
(Light machineguns - M-60
pistols - CZ97b)
2) magnums - taurus .454
3) powerups - overkill
4) laser Cannons - XM 58
5) and for the next level you'll have so much Exp. that you'll can buy everything in one level.

I don't agree when some of you said auto short gun is easy... I tried survival mode and when I have killed around 169 zombies. with my auto short gun, I can die easily.

Fun, until you get the auto shotgun. Then its one of the most mind numbingly easy game I've yet to play. Still, its very polished. Lots of spiffy grapficks to look at, eh? Kept me amused for about 15 minutes.

Superb!
True, once you get a level 3 gun, the game's over...
Favorite gun: Jackhammer. I have to actually move around for this one, so it keeps it a bit more fun than standing in one place with the SCAR and building a pile of bullets. xD 5/5!
I can't think of any good improvement, because anything that'd make it tougher would kill you before you got to the level 3 guns.

While this game has solid gameplay mechanics, the variety of content in the game is pretty weak. I'm suprised there isn't a range of power-ups, courses, and other content (like creatures) implemented in this game. Still, for a flash effort that probably took a long time to make on spare time, it's pretty fun for the first hour.

Fun game but as others noted Defense Mode is too easy. You could get a billion points on it if you had the time. Survival Mode is also kind of fun and maybe a little bit more challenging.
All in all a great game tho. Just make it tougher and give players a reason to switch between weapons and it would be 5 stars.

Is it just me or is it way too hard to get to the cool guns in this game. The best mode is expiremental so you can just use the fun guns.

the game has ok graaphics compared to other zombie games on Kongregate but... The guns are too powerfull I mean I'm typeing this review while playing without having to pause... more bad guys would be nice a boss or two maybe a really long lasting zombie but it's not as good as Box Head or even Last Stand so I give it a so-so 3 out of 5

Overall, you've got a very good game with a few glaring issues. First off, there is a major problem with the balance. The first few levels present some difficulty, but as soon as you are able to get the SCAR (or the Jackhammer) the game becomes extremely easy. These two weapons render the most expensive weapon, the GAU-8 practically useless.
The other big problem is that some of the dark red and maroon colored zombies are difficult to see against the blood bath that is the ground.

Not a bad little game here. Definitely could use some balance tweaking to inject some longevity into it, but its still good fun.

I just can't get very far in this game, so it makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong when I see people talking about it being "too easy." After about 5 levels I lose my base so quickly that I never have a chance.

To put it bluntly, this game is too easy. MUCH too easy. After playing for about 2½ hours I still hadn't taken any damage, and had around 500.000 xp that I didn't know what to do with. Even with just standing around and not firing, it took several minutes to die. This type of flash game is NOT the kind of game that you will usually spend many hours playing.
Higher difficulty, and more variation. Levels with different objectives would be nice for instance, or a way to improve highscores without having to play for hours and hours (such as combos / rapid killing for instance).

The longer i keep playing for, the more obvious the balance issues becomes. Currently at around 3000 killed zombies - I have all upgrade, all weapons, bunker with 50k hp and 9k hp on my character. 2 major issues are showing:
* Zombies do way too low damage compared to the level. When my bunker has 50k hp I could just go sit on it and eat dinner during the level, because the zombies still do around 1 dmg/sec average each, and its just 1500 exp to repair it afterwards.
* Huge spread in exp gain between what weapons you use. With all upgrades, I get around 10-12k exp in clearing a level with the Autoshottie or the Assault rifles, and more than 100k by clearing it with the Laser cannon.
Suggested solution: Retune Overkill to give a maximum bonus exp equal to the exp given by killing the zombie. That way Overkill with highdamage guns would yield about the same damage as Bloodlust with a low-damage gun, like the Jackhammer.

Very nicely made game, although it needs some balancing - Especially in the combinations of powerups and weapons. An early laser gun + overkill means that the next level you can buy all the weapons and upgrade your health levels quite heavily very early on. From there on out its pretty much as fun as you can make it with endless waves of zombies dying. Going from struggle to laughably easy in only a few levels. Anyway - very decent work with the coding - that many gunshells and corpses added over the levels and still i get no additional visible strain on the machine - very well done.

Very fun, a little slow, upgrading from level to level of gun takes WAY too long. But that's just imo. Other then that the game is very fun; easy gameplay, fast shooting, fine graphics, 5 for 5

I would like to see a weapon buy-back system so that I can trade in my early-round weapons for some credit back that I can use towards other purchases.

Many good points have been raised here. The game is very well made, but it loses steam extremely fast. It needs more balancing, more variety and, perhaps, a more steep difficulty curve. I agree that the blood becomes very annoying over time. I know that keeping the litter from the previous level adds realism, but it also adds strain to the eyes. Another point is that I didn't see an options menu to lower the volume or change the quality. That's very important, you know. The game has A LOT of potential, though.

I won't dwell on the balance issues everyone else has mentioned. I like the variety of weapons, the nice graphics (very impressive to keep all blood, bodies, and bullets on screen!), and the good control. Can't wait to see version 2!
