interesting game , but the resâwn are sometime frustrating : for example in the zigzag room with the air trusters that kill you you respawn at the bottom of the room which is a useless waste of time :s

@FyLeoPeo, nice one, finishing the game at 277 seconds. I just tried myself and practiced a few stages, and tried a serious attempt at a high score, and got a time of 229 seconds. That's 35th all time, and probably top ten All Time, if we don't count scores that say 0 or near 0. A lot of the rooms have obvious solutions, but there are lots that have solutions that are much quicker than the more obvious solution. @PurpleYoshi, it takes time to kill a wolf because that makes the puzzles more interesting. That way when you stealth kill, you have to be CAREFUL about it. Also the girl he is rescuing is his child. Not his girl friend. Additionally if you finish the game you see her crying. So she definitely loves you. If you want to see more of the story, check the sequel: ► ► ► http://kongregate.com/games/greatcogs/vox-populi-vox-dei-episode-2

This game should have an epilepsy warning... the level with the flashing lights made me sick and I had to stop playing.

On the second teleport level if you are trying to move carefully to the next level it is possible to fall down the wall and get stuck. Glitch presumably.

Up until the steam room, this was mildly entertaining, but no way am I going to put up with those epileptic-inducing flashing lights.

*Body slams a werewolf and brutally murders it just out of sight, getting blood everywhere* Other werewolf: "Huh, where did Dave go?"

Sooo, good game, except that there are points where you can potentially leave behind your companion on, for instance, the falling platform in the room with the one werewolf, and then they can be lifted beyond the point where you can get them back (plus they don't have any weight it seems, so their side doesn't fall). And then when I'd try to leave the room, it'd remind me that I've forgotten them, so with no way to lower their platform I was basically stuck.
In order to complete the game, then, I had to start the entire thing over, which has left me with a bit of a bad taste to an otherwise enjoyable and neat game. If you could fix something there, that'd be great.

I'm just trying to get through this because I only got 4 badges this week so far. It took a lot of tries but I was at the room where two werewolves are on the bottom and I enter from the top right from 5 floors of werewolves. The problem is I hit a key on the lower left of my keyboard, and now the guy runs right through two rooms of teleport floors until he gets to one previous werewolf I had jumped over. None of the other keys work. I don't know what key I accidentally pressed and nothing works to reverse it so I can control the guy again. I don't want to start this game from the beginning again. I tried to play a few days ago and got sick of trying and it didn't save my progress. So that's 2 things that are broken.

To be continued, it is said at the end right? After almost 18 years, is there a #2 somewhere? I'd like to play more of Vox Populi, Vox Dei. Maybe I should look for it?

I thought I was going to have to give up on this badge but I got through it with the aid of this walkthrough - spoiler alert: the end is oddly moving!

In that level first room after I rescue the girl there is a glitch that allows you to fall of the screen if you ty to jump through the door back to the prison.

Great game, thing that bothered me though that was it sometimes felt I was playing a completely different game (like the deadly steam pipes didn't fit in with the epic wolf mauling). I think the game would be better if it harnessed its cool aspects better, such as how satisfying it feels to maul werewolves. If you'd improve on that, a second game would definitely be on my wishlist.

To the wolves, the elevators are like teleporters. You go in and appear in a different place, and people come out of nowhere. Guns are unknown to them, they just view humans as shooting stuff and think the shooting mechanism is part of the human. The humans are wolves to the main character, because they are dangerous, just as wolves are to humans.

I find most of the comment section actually not realizing the perspective of the real wolves (the character we are playing as), even when the game obviously presented the main character as a wolf (pounding etc) and the enemy as humans wielding guns (they live in buildings, shoots stuff). The fact that it's not so obvious to the majority of people, and most of the commenters just see the absurdity, further justifies the game creator's point in creating this game. Most humans naturally think and see from their own point of view, and don't really consider other points of view, which is one big problem with society today.

Not a bad little game. I liked it for the most part. The only thing i didn't like is the one room with the flashing lights. That really started hurting my brain. Other then that good job.
