If you number the stage 8 rooms like a keypad, where you start in 8, the first room I clear is 1, then 2, and 7 and 9 together. Launchers can take out room 4. Room 6 is a bear, but if you build a portal by your ship and in room 2 you can wait for the current to shift and sneak build a shield wall and a neutralizer. I'm not sure its worth building makers or picking up the ore.

Stage 8 down to 6:00 even, hot damn. Pro tip, you can build things on the other side of the room to your initial bottom right. I build some guns in the initial room set to fire on drones only, open the path to the bottom left room, and place a bomb besides that portal. When the drones clear out, you can fill that entire room with energy producers.
The rooms that are hardest to speed clear are the far bottom and the room to your initial bottom right. I saw a youtube walkthrough it was over 15 minutes what a joke.

My strategy for pretty much every level.
First, i build up a huge force of blasters and launchers. Makers too, if possible.
Then, i 'GET READY FOR BATTLE' near the target location.
Finally, i breach the target location and destroy everything within.

@broney453 - Pause at the beginning, make a plan for a bit, unpause, go, repause, etc. You want to get 1 launcher built by each of the satelite-dish looking things, maybe a blaster too, and when those piles get low enough be sure to destroy the generator. Otherwise just dig around, make tons of energy collectors, and dig to the bottom. You may have to build beacons on the way. I save all my white creeper for the end. You can set Makers to "Charge" if you have some mines going, and later drop it all at once when you're in position.
Pause a lot, save game is there for you too. Try to not build so much at once your energy is in the red, but don't build so little you're wasting much.

Excellent Game! A Nice twist on the original CW1 formula. I hate to admit it, but I went through the entire game without realizing I could move the ship. It wasn't until I was reading comments afterwards that I noticed it!

for mission 9 you need kind of special build. use gems. build energy for about 3 antispores and 4-5 guns. rush for middle and right passages to intercept creeper bomber. dont let antispores tank stuff, pull them back between spore waves. get range for beacons and weapons first.
most important is to rush forward with guns. you have to kill creeper bomber far from your base.

Stage 10 6:59 Hoohah. I think upon replaying that only stage 9 just terminally blows. Its really cool to replay 8 and 10 to try to shave a little bit of time.

Somehow the only stage I feel like being super competitive about is stage 8. I'm down to 6:32. Pro tip, you can build things on the other side of the room with the square creeper pattern; it doesn't move unless you push it.

@Swaginatorman this map is a hightened difficulty to be sure the key is taking things VERY slow and methodical. try to Place the ship under the middle bottom asteroid and only make 2 or 3 phantom coils guarded by 1-2 turrets to start. This map will heavily penalize you for overbuilding and not planning your builds.

@floppyrope, if you're talking about the thing at the bottom, you can clear out the dirt on the row above the flying droplets, and kill them from there safely. The that blob of creep won't spread.

Level 5 sucks. I honestly have no idea how to beat it. Tried repulsors with 8 maxed out blasters and still no dent. I like a challenge but damn.

@bigmac5b: I don't know why losing your ship would be "for the win". Also, there is no Easy Badge. Did you mean you got the medium badge in 2013 and the hard Badge today? I got the medium Badge on 8-23-2013, so this game might have been a BotD that day. I got the hard Badge the following day on 8-24-2018.

to add to my previous message: you can save/load with ctrl + c/ctrl + v. i happened to adventure in help->controls and noticed that i defeated the game. i facepalmed so hard that i could have just saved when i had everything in control with few creeper spawners destroyed. especially in world 8 or 7 where i restarted the entire map couple of times because of fails. world 9, you don't need to defeat all the creepers but rather get the capsules. big tip to world 9 too: you should move ship to up where one gateway is. place nullfier and destroy this at start of the mission, you allow yourself much easier misison. you can also move the spaceship to near the creeper spawners and destroy them with nullifiers due all you care in 9th mission is that you get 10 red dots to the thing inside the thing that is protected with 3 creeper spawners.

here is big tip for missions: ctrl + c = quick save. ctrl + v =quick load. so nice to every mission, atleast to the last one where you climb up.

for level five you have to use repulsors on the sides and build LOTS of defenses:10 blaster, 8 launchers ,2 rifts,LOTS of reactors,2 creeper makers.(thats how i did it.).Basically you need to stockpile attackers until they can beat the final thing

@Techhead7890 Really? I just used more dakka and never had to leave the pit. There's no emitter down there so I just kept pumping ammo until the place was empty :D. Level 7 was tight fun!

Wow, I thought this was way harder than CW1, but 7 was insane... I had to use all the pickups, dump about 50m anticreeper and run up to the surface to save the ship...

it took me till like, level 8 to realize that ALL buildings can be put on whatever face, not just the ore rigs.
so uh, make sure you do that. would have made the other missions quite a bit easier, especially mission 7.
not that they're terribly difficult anyways.

With 7, if you do everything in the right order, you can actual kill off the top chambers before you have to deal with the bottom. Just make sure to put a few shields up and have a couple of blasters and enough launchers to slowly push the creeper back.

For level 5, collect gems first, then build a few more reactors by your ship. Drop your repulsors down one block each, cut out two blocks on either side of your repulsor beams and put 4 Blasters on each. It'll look like a T with the beam pushing down to the bottom of the T. Let your blasters beat up the creeper enough to put nullifiers down to kill it off. From there, clear out rows of dirt and build a ton of reactors. Build down to the creeper below and put a rift above the moving creeper. Drop 6plus blasters and launchers above it and let them punch through, let them go through enough to neutralize the creeper generator, then clean up... best time I have is about 7:30 minutes.

Level 5: Use makers and use rockets to clear out the creeper chambers one at a time. After that it should be easy. Level 7: Do not dig out a path to the creeper. Use the time you have to increase your energy and tech. You can then spam rockets and shields to kill the creeper, there's no emitter either.
