Under rating threshold (show) To give people an idea of what's possible in survival mode: http://i.imgur.com/CRZZE.png This run through was done on the knucklecracker website using Nov. 18, 2011 - I finally lost at 4:05:32. The blasters that are disarmed I only turned on if the creeper started overflowing - drones are the most energy efficient at killing dense creeper.

Under rating threshold (show) Getting tired of all the people complaining about automatic survival mode. It takes AN HOUR for that to kick in, and you can still win after it starts. If you were fighting a real creeper, it'd probably start sending out more minions after a while. And seriously, if you don't have that creeper securely pinned to the wall within an hours time, you're doing something horribly, horribly, wrong. Rethink what you're doing, obviously your strategy isn't a good one.

Under rating threshold (show) I like this game a lot; every time I play a map I can do something different. I just wish there was a way to turn off "survival mode". Sometimes I want to play around or my grandson is a little slow and suddenly you're toast. Please add an "on/off" on the survival that kicks in after 60 minutes.

Under rating threshold (show) I miss the fact that there's not an actual game here. There's no real progression of maps from easy to hard, there's no significant new gameplay features. The new map a day idea is good, but you do it and that's that. They don't really have a theme, so it's just whatevs.

Under rating threshold (show) My strategy for today (Jan 5th) was similar to all of the below except I used the 'increase fire range by 20%' upgrade so my one mortar will reach the pools better and so I could trust my 3 sams to be plenty. Here's my initial setup: http://i.imgur.com/mDRK8.jpg... 5 collectors before only running energy to my one mortar. After the mortar, build a blaster to push the creeper back. Move the mortar to the left and continue moving it south while building more collectors. Under rating threshold (show) If there is not enough challenge for you in this game, set yourself a time goal or play it multiple times, each time in a shorter time. To load all totems in 7 minutes is hard to do on most of these automatically generated maps. It depends on where are the totems and how the map looks. On some rare maps it's possible to finish under 3 minutes, and on some it's hard to win in 9 minutes. The average map is a good challenge to finish in about 7 minutes. In this free game here on kongregate, i like to GREEN OUT the whole map before I switch on the totem packets :) MY GROUND! :D I would love to be able to set the difficulty! I think, the best way to do that would be to set the emitters' output frequency or the amount. It would be nice to have a kind of a slider with at least 20 difficulty levels to set. The minimum output should be that in the original game. The maximum should be NOT more than HALF the survival mode output.

Once you build up your army and you finally beat the game, it'd be cool to watch the creeper destroy everything you created. Under rating threshold (show) DEV, I'm not sure how often you update this, but a little change could be on the level selection screen when you roll over a played map, moving the time to the same line as the score and then listing up to 6 plays. Sometimes I will replay a map more then once and would like to compare what I got.

Under rating threshold (show) Part of why this isn't as awesome as the original or user levels is because these are extraordinarily vanilla--there's totems, a few elevations, and that's it. There isn't a specific challenge or gimmick that's being built upon; it's just a hilly layout. If you could modify your generator to make not just maps but also a randomly selected scenario--like 'avalanche' type levels where the creeper is above you, or a 'levy' type scenario where there are a series of banks and rapidly-filling valleys between you and the objective, or an 'isolation' level where there are islands of buildable terrain, separated by unbuildable sharp inclines.

Under rating threshold (show) dec 10 probably the best survival map *for me* to reach longest time, total 3:14:57 almost hitting 1000 emitter spawn, line up single blaster with C pattern at middle and put mortar among 5 blaster, build reactor till you have 33-34 energy, build at least 3 storage *sometimes energy decreased even though energy usage is 32* upgrade except 30% movespeed. after that build ton of blaster on empty space as reserve blaster, move odin city near blaster line *faster ammo line* this pattern should able to resist till 183-186 minutes in, after that move reserve blaster to destroyed line blaster if lucky enough should be able to reach 195 minutes aka 1000 emitter

Under rating threshold (show) i resisted 46:38 minutes in survival mode - that's total time 106:38 (a valiant stand! score :), emmiters were around 410... i built 1/5 of the map with Storage, 1/5 Speed, 1/5 Reactor, 1/5 Blaster, 1/5 Mortar, plus 10 Drones (2 for each emitter)... worked very good, first 20 minutes were really boring, after 30 minutes blasters were out of ammo and after 50 minutes my first 5 lines of defense were gone... after that it was only a matter of time... the problem was ammo and i kept replacing the towers with fresh ones, but the creeper was quite deep in that time
