Under rating threshold (show) Nearing the end of a mission, I look at the way I have networked my collectors across the map, and how I have inched my way from one edge to the other, covering everything in my wake, destroying the creeper in my way, and I realise, the creeper and I, we aren't so different

Indeed.... This observation/philosophy is an underlying theme in Creeper world 3. Which 3 is now out! knucklecracker.com/creeperworld3/cw3.php

Under rating threshold (show) I enjoy playing strategy games and such. I dislike tower defense games, because the enemy is on a controlled path, but games like this are amazing. It feels so simple, but you just can't stop playing. Even when you're losing, you just want to fight again. It's a simple game, but amazingly addicting. I have no words to describe how happy I am that this game exists, I wish I could rate higher than 5/5.

Under rating threshold (show) Don't know what parameters are currently variable, but since a new map is generated daily, it would be neat if they occasionally had an extra emitter or two, or slightly higher growth rate. A bit of an occasional challenge for the regulars.

Under rating threshold (show) @Kazan_Epic The OC can't send out any more than 32 packets per second - deficit is the number of packets that have been requested that have not yet been sent. Any energy collection above +32 does essentially nothing (apparently the last time I said this it was down-rated, but down-rating it will not change the game mechanics).

Under rating threshold (show) 1. Hit Pause right at the start and study the terrain. Use Pause often during the game. 2. Move Odin City to a different location at the beginning. Look for higher ground, closer to the totems, but not too near the emitters. 3. At the start, click the green button on Odin City. This turns off totems packets. Turn it back on just before you connect all the totems! 4. Be careful with energy management and don't build weapons sooner than you'll need them. Build collectors before building reactors. Collectors are more efficient than reactors. 5 . The longer the interval for spores, the more spores there will be. They will always arrive from behind where the emitters are located. 6. Upgrades: Choose carefully. Some upgrades will use energy. If you don’t have energy, choose other upgrades. 10% more energy when you have 2 energy is less than 10% off building cost.

Under rating threshold (show) Yes, the truth is that no matter what we do, the Creeper always wins and takes over each planet. After we leave, it's all Creeper.

Under rating threshold (show) I've come to realize something about the entire Creeper World series: eventually they're going to have to find whatever is making and sending out the Creeper spore totems and put and end to it to permanently eliminate the Creeper for good. They can't keep planet hopping; in time, they will run out of hospitable planets to inhabit if all they do is keep running from it. Creeper always ends up where they are, so it's either following them or just spreading everywhere in the Universe and eventually encountering Odin City. Any way you slice it, they have to stop the Creeper origin...

Under rating threshold (show) One tip I haven't seen is to start each game off by moving your city to a high elevation if it starts off at a low elevation. Then just follow everyone else's tips and people should find this game much easier.

Under rating threshold (show) The best on this game is that you can set the difficulty level as high as you want to by making up any rules. Obviously there is a basic difficulty level set by the map you play and by the game itself - you need to learn some basics to win just like in any other game. But as soon as you're done learning the energy management and properties of the city, units and buildings, you're good to go and set your own rules to make it more difficult to win. Survival mode, top time score, not moving the city, not using some weapons or buildings... it's up to you :)

Under rating threshold (show) Here is a way to beat Sep18: right at the start build a blaster next to odin city and nothing else. When it's finished hit pause and fly it to the top of the highest hill as close to the emitter as possible. Odin city itself follows right away. (They should arrive at the same time.) You do take some damage but it kills the emitter fast enough and you have a safe position on the highest spot of the map. Sound crazy but works.

Under rating threshold (show) @fractalman I'll have to read the Knucklecracker board. Yes, there are a bazillion (subtly) different possibilities here in Evermore, but all of them are only somewhat minor variations on what I guess is about a dozen or so "seed" layouts. Still, I've noticed that at least some of them within a family can range from easy to hard depending on the variation.

Under rating threshold (show) For those of you who keep getting surprised at your "total time played" just remember that if click "survival!" it automatically advances your game to the 1 hour mark, which will be what is recorded in your total time statistic. Which means that its really easy to inflate that stat on accident.

Under rating threshold (show) Excellent work! We've neutralised the creeper to the point that they're no longer a credible threat. Our infrastructure is solid, we are generating enough power to last here for an indefinite period. Good job, private. Maybe we can rebuild something here. Mission accomplished. Actually, never mind. Prepare to teleport out of here into an unknown, and almost certainly hostile territory!
