Great game, I really enjoyed this... I feel like I am just saying good stuff to the creators of games I have played A LOT over the past.

Why are weapons so completely shit compared to the ones they have? It sucks balls, making it impossible to fight head to head...

First, I apologize for my English. The game is really nice, my compliments. The Red Baron is not impossible to beat, I used an alternative technique: with albatross with firepower at the highest level and missiles I was able to shoot down the airship. I had only one life and Baron still 4. However, much better with the emp as recommended. I started the campaign with the Baron's triplane, but it is too easy ... :)
A word of advice, since you have implemented the bombs, it would be nice to have ground targets. ;)

Great game. 5/5 , because there is not bettergame of this type. But the multiplayer is horrible and mayby there should be a survival mod. Despite these problems grat game.

just fly above the red baron's blimp, and he will keep crashing into it trying to chase you. The AI in this game is hilariously exploitable.

The control need A LOT OF WORK. It should be switched to controlling the actual plane, but the targeter. Where the plane goes, so goes the targter, not the other way around. It's hard to control and I find myself doing loops out of nowhere.
Also, it needs a wider flying field. Dogfights need to be more than loop after loop and luck.
the mouse controls are easy. Just tell the plane where to fly with cursor and it will follow it If it is possible. Or if you have hard times with mouse controls, just switch to keyboard controls in main menu.

I don't believe in using walkthroughs unless as a last resort. Needless to say the Red Baron is ridiculously difficult. You can barely get off the ground and you're nuked. He has access to weapons that you have to beat the campaign in order for you yourself to use. I like the game, great idea, challenging, fun! Just wish that the Red Baron wasn't quite so invincible :(

i'm sure this is fun, but the controls stick so bad in IE i can't even complete the tutorial, 1/5 until the game ctually becomes playable, i shouldn't NEED to change browsers just to play...

Wideanglegames can you add a "endless" or "survival" mode? When you kill the Red Baron you can't continue and i have it with all upgrades....

It's easy, just need to have a bit skill and luck :) Check the walkthrough video how to do that. Equip your aircraft with stalling weapons like malicious parachute or EMP and erase that nasty baron from the sky.

if we had survival mode it would have 4 planes come in fight you but they get better guns after so many rounds and there would be money system where players could buy weapons and all that stuff before rounds but be timed to and the enemys get more health every round but you get to choose your plane at first and you have to beat campaign first i thing this is a good idea
Hi, Balloon defence is something like sandox or endless mode, you play until you are able to defend balloons :) Or do you mean something else? If yes, tell me the details, because I'd like to add a new game mode soon.

Storm clouds and birds are ridiculously overpowered (example #2312 of sentences I never imagined typing), mostly due to their size and prevalence. The enemies guns seem unduly strong as well, usually destroying part of my plane after two or three hits, even with several armor upgrades (whereas I need many, many hits to down them, again with upgrades).
The only thing you need is a practice. This game is not easy to play at first time, you need to develop some skills and be patient. And sadly, that is the reason the game gets low rating from some players. If you are patient and practice, I guarantee you you will have fun!

I tried "Altitude," and it´s game play is too unrealistic.. You forget they are planes after a while since gravity makes very little effect... and their weapons are too sci-fy. I like it that you could easily Stall in this game.. I´d hope that in the next versions you would increase the ceiling height at least 3x, and reduce the turn rates, and increase gravity a little bit. As is, climbing advantage doesn´t really mean that much vs. speed.
I really hope this game goes Multiplayer some day... it has great potential.
Altitude is not about simulation it is pure simplified model that everybody can play and has fun of it. If I do your recomendations in the game sequel I definitely bury the player audience spread since many casual players will be unable to play. However I can make 2 modes - 1 easy for casual players and 1 hard with all the physics for pro players :) I hope someday I create multiplayer version, but it is too time consuming.

Tried a fight with red baron as a single level, he nuked his own bloon. Then respawned in thin air, hanged there, and flew again. seems like a bug XD

liked the game a lot more than most plane games but i think it would be better if the co-op part of the game was online and not just on one computer if you do take my advice i think more people would play the game
Hi, that was my former intention to make multiplayer game. However, old AS2 technology doesn't allowed that so I had to leave at least hotseat. Sequel will be online multiplayer :)
Hi, more players reported this as a bug. It's just imperfect AI. I'm currently working on it to improve the AI so it does not crash into airships or ground. I hope that that Red Baron will be beatable after AI upgrade :)

I would say to use "Shot Accuracy" instead of "Shoot Accuracy" in the stat chart after a mission..but it is a very cool game none the less.

Would adding a game mode to make this game like "Epic War" style be a good idea? If you could control one plane, but release a bunch minions every so many seconds in a battle of east vs. west... that´d be really cool.

This game was awesome, and appreciate the Dev responses. A sequel would be good. I'd like to see bigger differences between the planes and missions, and maybe different upgrades for the different planes. Still going to give it a 5 star because it was fun and I can come back and play it agian.
