Got the medium badge on my 4th try. After a while, his health will stop dropping. At that point, you have to keep dodging until he withdraws the pearl. He will then explode. Simple as that.

Probably the worst rating of "medium" the medium is like insane difficulty on BF4 and COD Ghosts combined. Good luck getting the badge for the Epic Quest

Wow. I would have beat it, but I pressed CTRL during the boss fight. Suddenly my browser freezes, and when it finally unfreezes, the trumpet is blaring and the game isn't progressing anymore. Thanks.

Update: Finally beat this stupid game. One person below gave the tip to not shoot the boss during the pearl laser to not encounter lag and this person was right! Do not shoot the boss while the pearl laser is going around and you will be able to keep just ahead of it to not die and finish the game. Although I figured out the trick I still stand by my assertion that this game is pretty awful.

While I like the concept and the title lives up to its name is execution is very poor. The game freezes on me at random points even though so many other games on the site play perfectly, it's laggy towards the end iwth the critical pearl laser phase, and it also seems like it won't die when it gets to the pearl part either - I hit him for several seconds with that last little bit of health just sitting there refusing to go down any further. Definitely should not have been in a quest. I give this game 1/5 stars. Do not play it.

accidentally found an awesome way to beat him when he drops the electrified gate, i changed tabs and that reset him to the beginning with the same health

Day 37. The ungodly laggy game that has no way to turn off the buggy sound, or turn down the "quality" of the graphics once more resulted in an inability to maneuver around the pearl laser. What keeps me coming back to this? Is it purely matter of pride? Or perhaps something deeper, something buried in my psyche brings me back, day after day...
Do I even have the choice to leave this game unfinished?

Ok, just a hint for the medium badge. Do the most damage possible 'till you get to the pearl. When the pearl is active, stop shooting, concentrate just in fleeing, there's a pattern there, it's not so hard if you try a few times. when it stops (yes, I almost cried when the pearl stopped firing death lasers), if you did a lot of damage before, it'll be easy to kill it. By the way, I finished the game and didn't get my badge, so i recommend you to take a screenshot in final screen, before highscore, just to be sure. Good game to you all!

The pearl laser moves too fast and does too much damage for how hard it is to avoid. It is also absurd how you cannot win until you survive the entire thing.

Die the most you can on Eel part by letting him hit you every time (also be at the top of water to do most damage), then go next to Crab on electric fence, you kill him before he even does Octopus special, but it took me 2 times to win as game is old and rather buggy.

Pearl atack is a 3 wave runaround the boss. First 2 - EZ, but on the last you'll have problems. Stay as close as posble to the pearl to mach the speed of lasers.

tip: ignore the minion bot, just shoot the king. When the electric fence comes down, stay together with the king, that way you will kill it before the pearl. + to keep this comment alive
