"make yourself useful and go find out what is clogging the drain." *decides to be a bit rebellious, and clicks "no." "Do it or I will kill you." A bit harsh.

Hey guys, this is indeed the legit version. We've deleted the stolen one and banned that user. Thanks for uploading this wittyhobos, and sorry for the thievery.

I like the atmosphere of the game, the music and graphics. But I have honestly no idea how I got from the basement to the ... organ rooms, and I have also no idea what I did to land in the boat room. I just randomly jumped everywhere until something happened.

For people with terrible memory here are the notes you must play on the piano to open the secret basement door: debab

Pete did not die.
Did you notice the odd shape of the boat?
The boat is, in fact his hospital bed. As he slowly becomes conscious, his dream becomes more and more realistic. The guts were his IV bags. They pulsated to the beep of his hearbeat monitor.
Furthermore, Pete is a small child.
This explains the spelling errors (Dore bell) and the whimsical aspects of the adventure (Talking bird, anyone?)
As for the characters, the bird is his mother. By playing along with his subconscious, she attempted to wake him up. The "I lied" line is his mother confessing about the "game", in case her attempt fails. (It doesn't.) The fisherman is a doctor. The big lady is a nurse. The little girl named Jon is the "Bad" side of his personality. The swinging boy is the "Good" side. Everything else is simply his imagination.

It's so rare that someone has the talent, the time, the drive and the skill to produce something like this. There are other games with a similar feel, certainly of the same genre; but still this is completely unique. It would be nice if Kongregate had a games section for 'art house' (or other synonym) games (along with the shooters, puzzles etc) because games like these are in a class of their own. Respect to you wittyhobos.

Shut up and take my 5stars. This game is so atmospheric and dark. I loved it! Make more like these. The end makes sense when realizing the game title and it does not take so much thinking to go through it. I had a great time and imaginary traveled with your story.
P.S. D.e.B.A.B. if you forgot when going back to the house

The advertisements for the upcoming iPad game (which I'm sure has been out for years now) were really intrusive in a game all about atmosphere.

Such a sweet game... i hope theres going to be a number 2. might, might not..
***SPOILER ALERT***
Am i the only one to notice at the end when your on the boat, in the water, the reflection shows a person on the boat...

I didn't get the philosophical part/message of this particular game, to be honest. It WAS however artsy, fun and it had good music, so I'm not at all disappointed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's a short game but it's fun and the music and is really nice. I kind of enjoy how they leave the ending open to *SPOILERS* "is he waking up or dying?"

the buttons at the end (by the pink blobs) are too hard to see, so i spent like 5 minutes running and jumping around without any clue what to do. but the game is amazing.

Love this. Very well made, very original. It's very Kytt-like, Kytt being an old game with similar style and focus on non-violent platforming. This game has atmosphere and that atmosphere allows it to tell a story with very few words, and that's always refreshing. Good job.

Found a glitch. I tried to play the tune on the piano before I left the house and was given the fish hook before meeting fatty fat cakes and now nothing happens when I get there with it.

when you fall into the basement and the bird says he lied to you or whatever there are a series of
hard to find little black switches about the place which open doors to a boat room where you finally see the door bell and escape your coma yay.. it's beautiful
this game is trully wonderfull but it would be lovely to see a sequal and or an update where you get to see your friends as you wake yp :D

The last rooms are too freaking dark man. This is a nice ambient puzzle game right until the end, when it becomes a game of find the tiny pitch-black switches in the pitch-black rooms.

Beautiful game, and reading MrHedge64's comment made the story even more beautiful. Hope you make more games, and we really appreciate this one :)

So the top score by holden4556 is 99,999,999. In other words he is the oldest living human being and spent all 190ish of his years beating this game once every minute. Amazing.

Pete definitely dies in the end. The silver shoot is a feeding tube keeping him alive. The worm is his digestive system. The sky (not the basement) represents Pete's brain, which is where the tumor (Mama Gomgassa) is located - putting aside the obvious fact that you have to go "up" to get there, the trees around her look somewhat like neurons. The brain tumor is what causes the disorientation that makes left right and right left. The basement is Pete's heart. The key to his heart is his sister. Turning off the switches stops the heart, then you're dropped down to the gateway to the underworld. Nothing about the boat looks like a hospital bed to me. It has the curved prow and stern of old-fashioned Greek boats, which fits with the Grecian myth where Charon ferries the dead into the underworld. The ringing of the "dore bell" sounds a lot like a bell tolling at a funeral. Also, the text at the end says "thee nd," a subtle way of letting you know that it's not just "the end" but YOUR end.

Its a lovely game, but when your not great at jumping from platform to platform and there are some really tricky ones AND then you have to do them multiple times..its not for me.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
degon: Try jumping around randomly without any rhyme or reason. That's how I beat that part. Actually, that's how I beat most of the game.

This is a really cool artistic journey that you have made. It had me feeling scared in some parts. That is a good thing by the way. The journey messes with your head sometimes and you don't trust yourself when you are doing certain things.

3 years i've been in kongregate, hundreds of games, and i just bought kreds for to tip for the first time. Although it asks nothing from me, i recieved so much from this game. beautiful, just speechlessly huntingly beautiful.
