in case y'all don't know, this was turned into a steam game in 2020, it was originally called Once Upon a Coma (but was changed to neversong), and it had pretty different gameplay as this one, but still following the same concept and having a few returning characters, like fatty. You should try it!

"Found a glitch. I tried to play the tune on the piano before I left the house and was given the fish hook before meeting fatty fat cakes and now nothing happens when I get there with it."
I think the glitch or bug is actually related to restarting the game after the end without refreshing the page. I read about it in the comments and then verified myself as a passionate bug hunter who likes to always learn more about game design and coding :).
I believe it's about not having designed the game for restarting as there are no phisical deadly threats which force you the restart the game at a given checkpoint undoing actions. It probably means thus that not every trigger and script of the game is correctly reset upon restarting.
But I have to try this too to see at which point playing that tune works.

If I understand, you can keep Flash, even better, backup it and it still works, just won't have more versions.
Do you also have to keep versions of the browser for which this works?

In case people are interested during the ending credits i found out you can press left and right arrow keys to cause your character to fly in different directions until the white light fully envelopes you and you go back to the title screen.

As soon as I saw the title of the BOTD I knew what it was. This is pure nostalgia and I love and loved this game since the first time I played it. Thank you for reminding me it exists. <3

This game is really well made. The atmosphere is dark in some parts of the game, the messages inside the worm saying to "wake up" and to "ring the doorbell", makes the player wonder, "what is going on, what does it mean". Very great game.

Awesome atmosphere, the art and sound really build it up. Wish it didn't need the mouse for options (especially since there were only ever 2, so up and down arrows would've worked), but it's a small thing.

Shut up and take my 5stars. This game is so atmospheric and dark. I loved it! Make more like these. The end makes sense when realizing the game title and it does not take so much thinking to go through it. I had a great time and imaginary traveled with your story.
P.S. D.e.B.A.B. if you forgot when going back to the house

This game is beautiful, but it would be great if a) you fixed the grammatical errors, and b) you didn't advertise yourself within that one screen. It takes away from the magic.

For a game like this, not having keyboard controls for the menu options is not a great choice. The player has to keep switching between arrow keys and mouse. This is especially true because WASD doesn't work.

great game, but it was really hard for me to know what was a platform and what wasn't (or what was a button in the cave and what was just a bump in the floor) wich was a big drawback for me...
Awesome music though...

For people with terrible memory here are the notes you must play on the piano to open the secret basement door: kebab

The ending has got to be the most surreal part of Pete's journey and the game in my own opinion. By the way, good game. 3/5.

Brilliant game. I loved the game visuals in conjunction with the music.
The game tells the player a story and is aesthetically and aurally wonderful.

No I am not interested in any of your iPad games. Thanks for ruining the experience with those constant "follow me"s especially at the end.

A really beautiful environment and interaction animation, but that's all it has going for it. I quit after 5 minutes for the following reasons: The movement is beyond frustrating, nearly infuriating. Sometimes you'll fall right through what is clearly a continued platform. There are no puzzles, it's just moving around in a linear fashion. The underground dark area is far too dark, you have no idea what you're doing and can barely see your character. Maybe that was the intention, if so, it was a bad decision. Generally, feels like the designers did their work, the physics and strategists mailed it in. 2/5
