Why are achievements "unlocked?" (As opposed to something logically and grammatically correct like "earned" or "awarded.")

autofire, hold L to shoot, then use mouse to click to off screen, release the L key, then use mouse to re-click onto game, u now have autofire

It would be nice if we could also close the shop with U key, and shoot the gun with mouse click. Great game otherwise

I'd really like to be able to check my achievements from the pause menu. I kept getting them, and kept wondering how many more to go. It's an interesting game -- it reminds me a lot of super crate box, but without a lot of the bells and whistles (despite having a higher resolution) -- and I like it as a little snack of a game. Good controls, good general design (love the enemies =D), but the difficulty could use a little work =P
Also, I kinda want a "random hero" button on the hero select screen, but that's more of a joke about the title.

Nice game 4/5, it has great game play all you got to do is make it more difficult, maybe a bit harder than the 3'rd chapter. Suggestions on making it harder: Make enemies turn around sooner, it's too easy when they just hit the wall and turn around, maybe make them run past you a bit but than follow you, and making them jump would make them more difficult. Make the things the drip acid drip the acid in bigger droplets, they're too easy to avoid. Make those flying guys shoot, I found those to be the toughest enemy to beat by the way. I think you should add checkpoints in the levels instead of giving the player a lot of hp, but that's just me. And for the weapons maybe instead of having to buy them you have to find them, or unlock them after beating a level. Because I think I got the ray gun on the 5'th level, making the game easy. So basically, you got a good game, just improve level design. 4/5!

Easy way to earn money:
1. Find a location with money near it's start
2. Collect money
3. Die
4. Collect money again
5. Repeat
+ to keep alive!!!

Tip for the developer: Don't make the music a little louder to compensate for the lack of variety in the sound effects, just make more sounds effects, like for example: Monster death, projectiles hitting walls, player jump, hurt, and death sound effects.. It made the game seem kinda hollow.

There's no reason to ever buy any gun but the last gun. Buying the bonus to %money books first will get you the last gun by the 2nd level in the 2nd chapter. That's if you chose not to restart because you mistakenly thought the characters would be different. On a side note you keep everything you've earned when you die/quit. Also the final boss seemed to be easier than the second boss...not that anything in this game would be considered challenging.

I found I was able to fire through the blocks with the last gun. Was this intentional? I can provide a screen-cap if needed.

Good movements, jumps, speed and graphisms.
Some level design errors (like in the last level, i guess, where you have to jump in plateform with falling slimes and you can't know there is an enemy further before getting hit or blind jumps), aerian enemies are the only (little) challenge in the game because it's really hard to hit them.
The money system is strange, you can easily keep the first weapon until you could buy the last one, and then the game become piece of cake.
Different heroes are great even if they are all the same.
So i put 3/5, -1 for the money system, -1 for the little design errors.

Weapon system is kinda dumb. Upgrading to the 300$ one doesn't give any advantage. Attacks should make enemies flinch for fractions of seconds, thus making weapons with higher DPS more effective.

good programing, good game play, but it's missing something. you should make different weapons available at different times- for example don't allow people to get the mini gun until they beat the second boss, don't allow people to get assault rifle until after the first boss, etc. it's too easy when you skip from the starting pistol straight to the mini gun or laser. also, you should increase the price for the books, make more levels, add different abilities to different characters, add more enemy types, add a duck button (down arrow or s would work), add more weapons and add more books. 4/5, but could easily be better.

Right now if there was a possibility to turn left, I already knew what was gonna be there: coins and maybe some health. After a while I stopped even checking them out because I had already bought all my upgrades anyway. The bosses. While not badly done in particular, I felt there was also room for a lot more variety here. You could have made them a lot bigger and better. Also, since you took the effort of adding aditional character classes, why didn't you give them different stats?
Now don't get me wrong. You did a lot of things right. But the standard for games like this is pretty high and there is a lot of room for improvement. Keep up the good work. 3/5

Fun game. The art looks good. The gameplay is simple but effective. However, I see a lot of possible changes that would greatly improve this game. Some of these have already been said. Firstly, the money system should be tweaked. Either you should earn less money or the weapons should be more expensive. (At least the latter ones.) Secondly, More variety in weapons would also be nice. Right now they are all pretty much spammable and thus they all feel the same. But since this is primarily a platformer it's probably not the highest priority. What should be a priority is level design. The gameplay is simple and that's great, but sadly the levels are too simple as well. The door to the next level is always at the far right side of the level. It would enhance the experience to emphesise the levels more towards exploration (a la commander Keen) .

Purchase first both of the books that make you get more money and you will be earning 50% more. Plus, if you happen to die un a stage you will respawn at the beginning with the same gold and all the coins will be back in their places ;)

and i certainly wouldnt mind some more variety; in characters, enemies, weps, specializations, etc., and even though lvl design was deep enough, longer chapters woudlnt hurt.

When you're doing the trick kicorek recommended, you range increases by a little bit (when using a flame thrower for example).

It would be great if the heroes had noticable differences. Like the bandit can jump higher, the psycho has higher weapon damage, the gentleman has an extra hit point, the cop can run faster, the trucker gets a discount at the store. Something.

lovely little pixel platformer with some excellent music. with a couple of improvements, i feel it is gonna be perfect. i agree that its a bit too easy and that the money / shop system needs to be adjusted for more challenge. i also think that coins shouldnt respawn once collected, even if the lvl is replayed. this is quite open to exploitation esp. if there is some good amount of coins early in a lvl where you can replay only a fraction and build up quite a sum.

The game gets boring really fast considering how fast you can buy everything, by level three i was too bored with it to continue

Nice style, perfect controls, but way too easy.
The hardest part actually was the 2nd boss, it was the only time i actually needed those hp upgrades
The weapons should be a lot more expensive
