Too easy to get all the best stuff, hence you get it too early.
You need WAY more colors in the palette, the visual design is boring and depressing.
Also, you need way more enemies.
Like a lot of stuff on Kong, this is a decent start of a game. Now finish it!

Not so spectacular. I explored the first few levels entirely, but after getting enough money for the last weapon, I simply rush through every remaining level due to the boredom. And the bosses have really simple move patterns. Overall, the game is too easy and sort of repetitive.

Started by buying the two books that increase your money because, y'know, it makes the most financial sense to buy those first. Then I went for all the books and armour, then the most expensive gun I could find. The pistol seemed to work fine up 'till I bought the plasma gun, and I didn't really feel a difference between them. This was shortly after the first boss. After that, I played on normally for a while, exploring like you do, until I'd bought everything sheerly from looking for something to do with all the money I had kicking around. This was some time shortly after the second boss. After this point, instead of collecting and exploring like normal, I just sprinted to the end of the dungeon as fast as I could without knowing the layout. I got all the achievements except the 250 coins and the character specific achievements. After realising that all the characters were the same, I decided I did not want to 100% the achievements for this game.

I like this game. I hope you continue to make more. Yes, this one is a bit easy. Yes, the upgrade system can be improved, but I don't care this game was great anyways. Good graphics, good music, perfect hit/platform indicator. Nice little Mega Man theme going here. Definitely make some more games similar to this one, just crank up the difficulty a tad and add some depth to the uprgrades, e.g speed upgrades, jumping upgrades, and improve the one that are here already e.g weapons/armor/items. Anyways, good game I like it, I hope to see more. 5/5

left+D or A+right or A+D will cause you to moonwalk. But you can't fire while you're moonwalking, so it serves no real purpose besides looking AWESOME.

Gotta admit, that ending is pretty disappointing. I figured a separate achievement for each character beating the boss meant they'd at least get their own cut scenes, but no. Plus the boss himself is way too easy - you can beat him without even jumping. Almost got a 5/5 from me, great game up until then.

Oh, and two more details, like it was already posted, the enemies are way too easy, they should have some kind of armor, don't know, or at least some other attacks, and also the guns are too look-a-like, they should have special properties, like for example, the rocket launcher gives splash damage, the Pistol pierce shields and so on \o

Really nice trick. If u want to AUTO fire just hold the fire key and then click out of the screen then you will auto fire. And if u want to stop you can just click the fire key once.!!!

This is a pretty good game to begin with- good platforming, simple controls. However, it gets a bit boring and repetitive with max upgrades and the best weapon which are very easy to get. I found myself running through spike pits because I didn't want to wait for the platforms. There's also little replay value apart from defeating the last boss with every character. With some improvements like differences between characters, better choice of weapons and items, this would be a great game. Otherwise 4/5. Also, for the obsessive people (like me), you can choose continue after completing the game to fight the last boss again with a different character and get the achievement :)

I think the game is great. The concept isn't pretty new but the game is fun and I liked a lot the graphs. Altough it seems pretty easy, I've managed to beat every achievment by just doing what I must, and chars could have differences between eachother as someone already replied about it here.
It could have more guns/more difficulties/more things just to have longer gameplay and harder stuff. The levels could be the same, but guns lowered or monsters enpowered.
Fav'd and 4/5, I just didn't give a 5/5 because of its easy difficulty. Oh, and the songs are pretty funky, but just as Zelda's, no matter how good they are, they'll get annoying after a while.

Great frame rate, tight controls (thanks for the buffered jump input), and good graphics/sound. Its a good game, it just feels a bit uninspired in terms of challenge and level design. If it were more difficult and came with a larger variety of obstacles, this would be a great game.

Solid attempt. I thought the movement was well done, as well as the overall design and graphical style. However, as a number of others have said, it was too easy to get the good weapons, and after that the game became trivial. The final boss was too easy with maximum health and the best gun, as well as having too predictable of a mechanic. 4/5

Liked the game just a few comments though. i think the whole money system is kinda messed up i mean the upgrades are cheap and you can skip from 1st to last gun before the first boss if you wanted. I liked the entire story line but like others have said maybe some variety would help, the characters are kind of useless, in my opinion you could choose like nyan cat if you are just gonna make the characters the same i also agree that the game should be hard every time you restart it. The enemies are also bland, the life system is great kinda like Mario but the only difference between enemies was the shape and if they flew, crawled, ran, or walked, or could shoot guns. I love what you were trying for, everything is there, you just need some more variety. Every one please plus this comment if you agree. I give your game a 4/5 because your story line is there, everything, works, but the variety isn't there. Nice game, hope you make more.

The bosses should be alot harder... Its pretty easy to defeat the final boss with the worst weapon without getting hit... Otherwice a very nice game.

Totally agree about character differentiation. Was hoping, after I beat the boss, to see a whole new page of upgrades for the gentleman, but what I got did not inspire me to play again. Also, why delete data when starting a new game? It's more intuitive to keep the achievement data and levels unlocked and just reset the gold counter for the new run.

Quick and easy game to play at your desk as you don't have to worry about taking to long for it to finish. I made it to the first boss on the pistol alone. Very easy.

Sadly, all the oppurtunities to deck yourself out with the Minigun early in the game ruins any chance of there being difficulty. Didn't die once, didn't get hit on any of the bosses and never had any platforming issues. Too easy simply due to being able to get a lot of cash easily right from the start.
Also, I finished the game with all achievements but the ones gotten for different characters. You need a better selection of achievements to up the replay value. Not bad though, lots of potential. Just needs to fix the balance; The monsters never stood a chance.

My main issue with this game is the fact that the characters have no bearing on the game play. I was hope for at least a different ending for each character. Why would a gentleman be surrounded by babes in bikinis? Or a psycho for that matter.

apart from difference between chars, it would also be nice to have summary screen at the end of level saying number of monster and coins picked, secrets found etc.

Am I the only one who stuck with first gun, till I had enough money for last one? Upgrading money income ASAP and then skipping all weapons?

3/5 for a few reasons... 1~ Game is too easy. 2~ You can get the last weapon really soon in the game. 3~ I got all achievements (except the ones that tell me to beat the game with an specific character) in my first try on the game. 4~ Didn't few like I had any kind of incentive to beat the game with the other characters, including the unlockables (Btw, Gentleman > all). 5~ There are no separate mute sounds. What if I want to hear the BGM but not the bullets or the bullets but not the BGM? Well, I can't. 6~ No sounds for losing lifes like the character screaming or something. 7~ Death animation is you exploding. What kind of Gentleman explods? Makes no sense... I guess that's it. A sequel would be cool if you fixed some of the issues I just told you.
