since you just asked in the game news: the bug of not being able to leave starbase just happened to me. i click leave and then i'm right back in it.

Players are still finding the Inventory/Starbase bug since the update release in July. I'm glad you're working on a sequel, but this game is still up, and people would still like to play. Please respond to your players.

There is a major bug. After I complete the missile launcher mission I decide to go back to the starbase. I identify and sell the artifact. Then I click Leave Starbase, but it keeps reloading the starbase over and over again, I can't leave it. I tried reloading the game and it still does the same thing. Please fix it, because I love this game.

I've done some experiments with that bug (can't leave starbase), and it appears to only occur after combat in another star system (not Alpha Draconis). With auto-save off, I went to the next star system (Beta Draconis), did nothing there, returned to base, and I could leave just fine. Went to that same system, got into combat, returned to base, and then the bug occured.
Hope this helps with debugging. I love the game.

This probably isn't too helpful, but seeing that you haven't yet fixed the starbase bug (which based on the comments seems to have existed for a long time), I thought that I would at least attempt to help.
I could be wrong, but it looks like you get stuck on the starbase because when you leave you are still within the starbase radius which seems to be the condition for landing. I suggest making landing on the starbase require pressing a key like "L" or perhaps moving the craft to x+r*cos(theta), y+r*sin(theta) when you take off.
I really like this game though. I give it a 5/5 and would love to play more if only I could get out of the starbase...

Checking autosave to 'on' seems to stop the can't-leave-starbase bug, but you have to do it again each time you leave starbase. So, if you've already got it on (rom checking it the previous level) you have to quickly choose 'quit' at the start of the level, then you can go to options, uncheck it, and restart the level with it unchecked, so that you can check it and fix the bug for that level. Did that make any sense?

I had to refresh the page once because the inventory screen wouldn't close after opening it mid-flight out of curiosity, and now I can't leave the station after the exact same mission. I don't feel like it's worth it to play it a third time over.

This game was pretty cool until I could no longer leave the starbase... if it was fixed it'd be a five star game, but not working makes it a one star. Sorry. I know you worked hard on it but it's glitching bad.

as i can't be bothered to go to the sequel survey page, i'll say what it could do with here. More missions, a non-linear passage (not going through the same wormholes to reach the location) and in fact non-linear gameplay. An example of which can be seen from the original rpg

4 stars for this nice work. Will be 5 if A star map, longer story, moarrr items(of course), different(preferably bigger, badder) ships. Other than Kudos!

I am not interested for a sequel using the UNITY engine! (but its a great game, and yes, i would like to have a sequel of it. ..but not with the unity engine..)

so I destroy my first missile carrier with the second one close on my tail, pick up my shiny new missile launcher only to have the "help" text cover half my screen so that I cant shoot the ships still attacking me. also, this game doesn't seem to like you doing missions out of order. I destroyed one of the stations before getting the quest for it (first map) and I wasn't able to complete the mission for the rest of the time.

How in God's love can you find the secret system for the last mission? I go to alpha Crucis and there is no new gate. Is this a bug?

I was initially very enthusiastic about this game. Sadly I realized this is an unfinished project. :( Why not give us the possibility to grind secondary missions or at least kill a few ships to upgrade our stuff? The way it is now is at best "interesting". Could be so much better.
