Didn't like it at first. Just wanted the points. Next thing I know I've gotten all the kongregate achieves and I was still gunning for the in game achieves.
Short end of the story? 5/5 and favorited.

The game was much easier before the Ambien kicked in. It loses a star because it is not stronger than chemically-induced narcolepsy. Regardless, stuck on level 9. Excellent game, though.

The thing I love about games like this is fully upgrading your ship and redoing the first level remembering that at the start you moved at a snails pace with a pea shooter as a weapon and basically becoming a smaller faster and stronger version of the bosses your fighting. >w>

Ok, so I noticed that I had to refresh my page after beating lvl 11 (the bonus level) and wait for mabye 5 minutes before I got my hard badge. Perhaps a slight bug, but + this so people don't get frustrated and spam mods with questions saying "Where's my badge??!?!?!?!" because they left the game page before their badge loaded.
Also, the 2 player mode makes this game rock!

It turned out that the boss I had died on about 6 times, was the very last one, figures. But, if you're stuck, here's how to get past it. The reason I couldn't survive the final boss was because I didn't understand how the shield works. The entire time I thought you just clicked once to activate it. Turns out you have to double click. Before you attempt the Boss Rush, max out every single thing. Then, use your shield sparingly and activate it when there are a ton of bullets coming at you. Not only does it protect you, it destroys all bullets in it's path. I know it sounds simple, but once I realized how the shield actually works, I beat it my first try. Obviously I'm not the only one who didn't realize it. You still need a good amount of skill as you have to dodge A LOT, but the shield will cover that last little bit to survive. After maxing everything out, make sure to take either no damage for the first 3/4 bosses. If you can see the background on your health bar at all, restart.

Every. Goddamn. Time. I click on the stupid ship and the shield does not go despite being fully charged.... ARGH! And then I click again out of f***ing spite, AND THERE YOU GO! The shield booms, when I don't need it anymore. Why the hell does that happen?

Ok game, The grinding made It kinda annoying (Well atleast I had to grind abit to get upgrades for the bonus level)... Other then that was a fun game:)

[ + ] This if there should be a total corrupt option to your data (Badges not affected by this) so you can really play from start and earn the medals instead of just going back the stages and losing cash.

By the time you've upgraded your weapons most of the way to the max, the game has become "Dodge the red stuff while trying not to look at the screen because it'll give you an epileptic fit."

I HAS AN IDEA! If you're about to be hit with a laser, your shield should be able to be toggled in like the shop or something to automatically come on. + so X Boost (creator of game) can see. 5/5

finally! a shooter game where your ship and the enemy ships are on equal terms(you both can kill each oter in only a few shots). there are far too many games like this where you need to grind for half an hour to kill a boss, but he can kill you in only three shots!

@Below, but we don't want a classic, we want something special. You want the game to be like others, challenge mode, can't touch enemy, but the differences are what made me come back after so long. I wish for the game to stay the same... except for one little change, playing with 2 people is a bit strange, we should each be able to gain our own money, since having to try to split funds between me and my brother is very hard.

I think that this game needs a few changes.
First, make your ship manually fire by holding mouse button and fire defensive shield by double-clicking.
Second, increase shields and power, and eliminate the side, back-side and back lasers. The enemies behind you should be the priority of the missiles.
Third, the game can be hard to see, so why not let the user customize the simple color schemes? I'd personally have liked to play with a white background, a blue or an orange player ship and green enemy ships.
Fourth, create a challenge mode in which you have a limited amount of retreats. Once you run out and you lose, you must start over.
Last, turn ON collision. No-one likes to feel like he's infiltrated the enemy's gut to blast it out and a real gamer would like to have AVOIDED the enemy.
Follow my advice and this game will become a shooter classic.

Came back to this game after a long time. Lessee...little repetitive, but enough variety so the levls don't get unbearably tedious. Powerups a bit of a grind but well worth the effort to obtain. Bullet patterns get challenging, but not at a danmaku level, and the defensive wave is a great boon. Gets nervous at times but never tear-your-hair-out frustrating. Weapons could use a bit more variety. Can get seven achievements, wherease 6-10 untouched and bonus untouched are forever barred to me. Yeah, 4/5 seems right.

boss 5 and boss 9 are so easy... sit in the center of boss 5 and he dies insanely fast.... do the same for boss 9 for a few seconds before he starts shooting from the center of him, then just try to get inside him every once in a while for good damage...

boss 9 complete fills the screen with bullets whatever you want to call them and even with max reload of defense wave it fires more often than you can use it. needs more upgrades on the defense wave reloads speed
