Since I first played through on Normal, I missed out on the special ending because there's one you can't get unless you play on Hard. For days afterward I kept thinking how I wanted all the endings to be true, especially Deadeye's and Swig's. When I finally replayed on Hard and got the special ending, it moved me to tears...

Better than Mass effect. I mean it, I rather play a sequel to this than 3 sequels to that. Amazing game and I hope you someday give it a whirl again

Amazing game. Some tips:
- NEVER upgrade weapons unless they're at least 7 or 8 levels higher. Doing this saves money for mods.
-Pick a few weapons and STICK with them. Don't try to upgrade all 7. I used laser and wave for 99% of the game, with minor upgraded sawblade and charge for certain bosses.
-Maxing int and def is the way to go on hard. This is a game where surviving > doing damage.
-You can redo past levels (this sounds stupid but I didn't know you could do this on my first playthrough)
-Skillwise, I went for Explosive Crit- Rapid Reload- Overdrive Charger- Overheal- Defensive Shielding.
-If you're going for the special ending, you need careful managing of who to talk to each day. Check the kong forums- there are detailed cafe guides there.
-For the special ending, you cannot die until day 18; the game won't allow you to quit and reload, but you CAN pause before you die and escape!
-Finally, please read every line of dialogue- it's what the game's all about.

This is the first game to make me say "I loved it." From the characters to the plot, it really stuck out to me. Great Job, I'd can't imagine why this wouldn't have a sequel. Also, I bet I wasn't the first to fight to see all the endings. I had the "feels" after every one of them. Again, Great Job!

This game has more story and better character building than a lot of AAA games that are out there. Everyone has a unique personality and it's amazing. I personally think Deadeye is my favorite character out of all of them. I can't forget the beautiful music for this game too. I especially love the piano music for it. Well done, developer. You have made a better game than a AAA title game. And you should be proud of it.

To all of those still asking for a sequel almost five years later, there is good news. The developer has been working on various other projects, none of which are related to Starwish, but once those are completed still plans to continue working on a sequel to this game when their other projects are finished. By continue working on a sequel, I mean to say there is already some work put into the sequel. When it will come out is anyones guess, but the long and the short of it is a sequel is still very likely for this game.

This needs a way to reset skills and maybe even stats. Skill menu popped up as I was clicking button to exit level and ended up choosing something random.

I'm curious what game engine you used. I would guess Stencyl. Not that that's a bad thing. It's a little buggy but still fun. Better than anything of mine lol.

Ok this is just odd: I am starting the game, and it does not show the Firebolt, instead, I am being hit by falling rocks, lasers from the Skies of Syd boss, the Firebolt lasers, attacks from the City Master boss, and numerous random lasers, the sound effect continues after the "fight" ends. Now, while on the menu screen after that fight, I am apparently fighting all of the bosses, getting the "Living Heart Approaching" and so on messages, with the music and sound effects still going. Screen is suffering lag as this goes on, what is going on here? This is 2d day this has happened to me, I skipped the cutscenes and the choices that wishing star person asks you, went straight to firebolt fight.

Well... i can't believe that there's no sequel... Ofcourse ACTUAL good games are going to be lost/forgotten or not even found SMH i just found this game now... This people should understand that if they needed financial support they could just start a kickstarter and we would all be there for them -.- .. SMH gotta dig in the pile of dirt again to find some gold >.>

I have no shame admitting i have cried from the wonderful different endings. A great game with wonderful story-line and nice philosphy within. Thank you Mr Dev, even replaying Starwish years later brings me the same emotions, you have truly created nice characters and histories in this game.

The game isn't working right for me, the first level sends literally all the enemies at once. is there a fix to this?

The problem is that the game is not compatible with the newest version of adobe flash. Download an older version of flash from their website, and you're good as gold.

This game worked beautifully until suddenly, it didn't.
Now, whenever I start or try to continue a game, it already has powerups onscreen and then suddenly everything goes crazy and the level ends.
Anyone else have this problem?

this game is IMPOSSIBLE i just die in 1 hit! rediculous! bug 1/3: first intro level IMPOSSIBLE! bug 2/3: the enemies blaster sounds and the projectiles keep,while iam on the screen with status,cafe etc. bug 3/3: the weapons i buy,dont take away money,and dont show up anywhere...ugh
