I've made a new account since the last time I played, but this is the best flash game I have ever played and I cannot wait for Ruffle to be able to run ActionScript 3 so I can play it again!

For those curious about how to play this with SuperNova SWF Enabler plug-in, use this address provided below by copying the entirety of it and pasting it onto the address bar at the top of your browser to ensure that it bypasses the ‘GameShell’ issue that have plagued many earlier games of Kongregate: supernova://play/?swfurl=https://chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0011/4906/live/RPG_Shooter_Starwish.swf?kongregate_game_version=1328863096 Make sure that your latest installation of SuperNova works correctly, as it will not function if it cannot load games that can work fine without this bypassing of the SWF files here (Used Google Chrome dev tools to get the link).

I played this game in maybe 2012 at the age of 11. been trying to re-find it for years. I'm literally tearing up omggggg. Xdanond, if you still read these, thank you so much for making such a great game. I'm looking forward to playing this game again so so much.

I didn't expect the nostalgia to hit me that hard when I restarted that game a few days ago. If there is ever a sequel, take all my money. Just take it.

For those coming after the Flash death date, you can't play the game here anymore but you CAN still play the game using these steps:
1. Go to bluemaxima.org/flashpoint as suggested below by Fierra Star
2. Go to downloads and dowload one of the versions, I personally went with the Infinity version, which I recommend.
3. Once the download completes, go to your downloads folder and extract the files. It may want to extract to your downloads folder, but don't let it or it won't run. Extract them into a new folder on your desktop.
4. Go into that folder and click the Start Flashpoint shortcut. Then, click on the games list and search Starwish, then play. Once it loads click the Play button on the right, the "Game Start" button from here will be absent.
5. Enjoy! If you still have trouble, you can find a Flashpoint manual in the FAQ section of the BlueMaxima website.
Hope this helps some of you capture some of the nostalgia I feel every time I play this game. Have fun, and fly true

'Life is short, but that makes all the moments worth it' Paraphrasing, but fitting. The end of an era.
How poetic I'd end up choosing Ginny's Ending as my finale. ã… ã…

I played this at launch, over nine years ago, and never forgot about it. That's the kind of impact the incredible, well written story had on me. Now with the impending discontinuation of Flash, I came back for one last playthrough. Thanks for this amazing little gem, xdanond, and for all the fond memories!

For those who are looking at the looming death-date of Flash and are upset that you don't have enough time to get all the endings(or would just like to replay this fun game) there are at least 2 options: you can head over to bluemaxima.org/flashpoint & decide whether you want the Ultimate version of Flashpoint(it'll have ALL the content they've saved over the years, not just Flash stuff) or the Infinity version(you pick&choose what stuff you'd like to have); you can head over to newgrounds.com & download their Newgrounds Player, after which you can continue to access all their Flash content like normal, but it is specific to only their site and Windows Desktop/Notebook users.

If I ever need a VM or emulator, it will be specifically to play this game and Epic Battle Fantasy 5. Just these 2 flash games. They have been, and will always be, my only favorite games.

Nice game. Too bad endings are bugged. I followed the perfect dialogue path with no deaths as required to get them all plus special one (and got all other 10 achievements on the way). In the end I just have the basic ending option. And that is it. Thx god there is YouTube so I can watch all endings anyway. :)
A sequel on Steam would be nice.

Ten years later, still great.
Flash is going dead and this masterpiece will no longer be playable. Such a curse is this world.

for me the best ending is with jhonny ,its soo good! his ending just seems so real/natural to me and it actually touched me. normally i would choose the female character i like the most but for example characters like nefereti and mare didn't really get to me, they didn't seem too real, for me they just like you bcause you're the main character. and mare you dont actually talk to her at all! and this is why i find jhonny the best and ginny after him. thanks for the amazing ending

I think the best ending is the one thats not up for voting, the "theres nothing i can wish for" ending, its the most open ended and expands all characters not just 1 or 2

One of the best games I've ever played and the choices of endings were hard but the one I chose was heartwarming and almost made me cry

Drumboardist wasn't kidding about the use of the mouse. The Living Heart can't easily affect the movement of Starfish while you are using a mouse. Starfish sticks to the mouse pointer if you keep the pointer fixed at a position.

One of the benefits of voting for the best ending on Kongregate is that you can keep track of the endings that you went through.

Idk maybe needs a prequel. The Ginny ending should have just been you bring her back and the three others do the ritual they did to extend her life in the special end

It's amazing how a flash game can have more heart and soul than some of the bigger games nowadays that likes to focus too much on graphics. Hopefully we can get a sequel or if we're lucky enough. One of the bigger game companies will pick this diamond up and release it for a gaming console.

Came back 7 years after beating the game the first time to finally get the special ending before flash stops being supported. This is as much of a masterpiece now as it was then. I did some digging and saw the developer was active and teasing a new game, possibly another game in this franchise, as recently as 2018. Hopefully they're doing well wherever they are, and while it may not be likely after 9 years the small chance of a sequel still exists, so we can hope.

This game was a defining experience. 7 years and feelings still come back to me just by looking at the title screen. I'm off to listen to the soundtrack now...

Once again I'm back, addicted all over again. A wonderful story that I keep returning to. Much love to the developer for creating this charming little masterpiece. <3

One of the best games I ever played. I got all the endings except for the last special one, one I'm currently trying to get, but each one of them moved me to the brink of tears and touched my heart. I would dearly love to see a sequel.
I love games and I love good stories. Starwish is a perfect mix of both and also has amazing and heat touching music composed by some great people.

It's been years since I've played this game ever since I last got one of the many endings. Today I revisit this masterpiece which is embedded in my mind. Starting a new whole save, resetting my progress, and most importantly starting fresh again. The feeling mixed with the soundtrack that has most subtly made me feel many emotions, it makes me tear up in a rather pleasant way. Thanks for all the many monumental moments you, xdanond, have given me.
